@Jenna_B I think the audience of Hımym feels betrayed after the finale just the whole 9 seasons didn’t meant anything after the last 3 minutes of the show. I hope A&E wouldn’t fall for that mistake. I mean the problem wasn’t the fact that show didn’t end the way we want but it ended a way that just made whole story meaningless .Lİke you say they didn’t built the story that way
And I too think that our experience in love and life reflects who we ship on Once. I myself had a Neal too just like you we met when we were 14 grow up together we were at the same class whole high school first love,first real relationship and moreover we were best friends. And when he broke my heart he acted cowardly and eventually he choose to be with someone else he met in university. 2 years past now this is my last year in college didn’t even date with someone not because i still have any feelings for him. I don’t love him or hate him. i just can’t get over the fact how my Neal broke my heart. He broke the trust i have for love and people which i had only a few. And i just don’t want to feel hurt and unloved, unwanted anymore. And there this guy i kinda like he is smart and has a kind heartd but and the feelings i have towards him scares the crap out of me because i dont wanna get hurt again which leads me to push him away
So you see this is why i ship CS and i really think their love is stronger than Sf because of course first love was innocent and precious. And of course first loves stay with you forever but you know what is stronger the love that makes you get over your first love the man who works so hard to earn your trust to make you feel secure and happy again. The love that is not childish or dreamy but real and still felts so good. I think Hook&Emma’s relationship will be deeper than SF’s relationship cause they worked so hard to built it and also wrecked those walls they built for themselves.[adrotate group="5"]@ellemo Also I never understood why we had birds chirping in the CS theme (although I liked it as it made the theme very organic & natural, which is how I see the whole CS story anyway)….. then it hit me, the dawn chorus- the 1st thing you hear as the sun rises, at the Very Beginning of the day.
I’ve never noticed the birds chirping before. Now I’ll have to rewatch those episodes again. (What a hardship!) They’re not just chirping because those scenes are outside?
I’ve just found what I think is the CS theme in the Jolly Roger too, when Hook is emoting over his broken heart to Ariel/Zelena. So even though Emma isn’t physcially in the scene, she’s definitely the reason for it.Nope they are definitely part of the CS theme (although the very 1st time we hear it, its sans birds from what I can gather)… pretty sure it was @obisgirl? who had a link to the CS theme at some point?
Will see if I can find it…..Okay I hear the birds, but I’m sorry I’m not convinced they are actually part of the music. I think whoever it was just couldn’t edit them out.
Although reading the comments on the YouTube pages, it’s used a lot more than I noticed. I have a tendency to skip over Dark Hollow because of that bloody lighter scene *cringes* But there we go, defintite proof of CS, why go to all the trouble of giving them a theme (and a theme so early on) if they weren’t supposed to be together? 😉

Beautiful post, @ilayda! As an “elder” in the thread, I give you the same totally unsolicited advice I’ve given the other youngin’s – go for it! Don’t let the pain hold you back – so much easier said than done, but so worth it as well. The farther you get from the pain, and the more you allow yourself to open up to new people, the more you realize how far you’ve come, how strong you are for going through the pain and surviving, and that the bad experiences taught you important lessons and at least know you know (which, strangely, can be quite powerful…) just being able to learn as much as you obviously have from your past is more than some people have the courage to do! 🙂 Just look at our Emma! She’s going to be so much fun now that she doesn’t want to live in the past anymore!
What a beautiful theme song our ship has….sigh, swoon, sigh…that’s the first time I’ve ever actually listened to it, outside of watching the show – you know, when you’re overcome with things like smoochies and guys dropping all kinds of fancy and romantic words and whatnot. (I’ll be honest, I don’t know how I feel about those birds though…but then, I have an irrational fear of birds. Seriously. They’re the devil’s creatures…*shudders*)
@Jenna_B – It really is beautiful. Reaching to the crescendo those few notes are soaring and full of emotion and hope and the potential of amazing things to come. (I may be reading too much into it!!)
But your bird fear is not irrational, it’s totally rational! I don’t like birds either (excluding penguins and kiwis, I like those ones) All feathery and unnecessary. Agree to disagree- those birds are there for a reason other than it’s outside- if it was because they are just out doors, why then do not all the other TL couples have animal noises woven into their themes when they are outdoors? 😉 I’ve heard the birds on 2 different CS scenes.
I love the Captain Theme. It is seriously a beautiful piece if music and it is totally reminiscent of classic love themes. I wrote a meta about it awhile back, connecting it to ‘ hope’ which is a major theme for CS.
I can’t wait until volume 3 of the soundtrack is available so I can finally have a cleaned up version of it. The theme rivals Snowing in terms of its epic ness and romance and every time in hear it, I feel and hear hope. It’s written all over it.

Hehe, that brings back memories of when I was a kid & had a baby sitter who was the same- I had a tame budgie that went everywhere with we at the time & she totally freaked out about it when she saw him perched on my shoulder while we were watching TV lol. So I can totally get where you are coming from there… it’s cockroaches for me, the common shining ones give me the creeps.
OK: cassowaries and tame budgie…this American gal has no idea what these are but they just sound incredibly scary! uuuugh. Kiwis sound ok though. Maybe. 🙂
