I try and participate in the character threads but I’ve found lately, especially in the Regina thread, it’s not really discussion and more arguing. So I just stay clear. I even unsubscribed because I couldn’t stomach to read anymore posts.
Like seriously, all the characters on OUAT are flawed and not one of them are Mary Sues (fanfiction term for the most perfect, unflawed character in a story). ABC’s Once tumblr is filling up with Captain Swan goodies 🙂 They’re even making comments on reblogs.

Keeper of Felix@obisgirl yeah the Regina thread is a mess the arguments are just ridiculous makes no sense at all i mean i have a respect to everyone’s opinion but what’s up with this aggressive attitude towards the others. And hating Regina just because she saved the day by stopping Zelena but not Emma is or hating Hook because Emma kissed her has no sense at all.
in 2×22 hook offered his ship to emma; in 3×22 he tells her that he gave it up for her
I’m still not over this. That Hook gave up his home to bring Emma back to hers. And when she missed him in the diner, she realized that he’s her home too.
The Snow thread is getting a bit interesting, but I agree the Regina thread was going in circles. I suppose because she’s so polarizing. I mean, I like Regina and love OQ but you can’t really boil Regina down to ‘it’s not her fault, it’s everyone else’s’. Even that argument is stripping Regina down to just being a big ol’ victim…and Regina would probably have opinions about THAT! (You know if she were real and all)
Haha, can I just say it is so true about the scruff! Hook’s the guy you want to experience that ‘fun’ he mentioned to Emma in NL with and Colin…you just want to hand a cookie and let him be on his way. I don’t know if I’ve seen anyone who looks more different with just a little scruff than him….although it might be the leather, too…hmmmm…. 🙂

So since S4 starts filming soon and (hopefully) that means spoiler pics —
we’ve talked about Hook’s wardrobe before but now that CS is canon I keep thinking about it and wonder what others’ opinions are…do you think they’re going to change the wardrobe this season? If so, what do you think Hook/Killy would dress like? Do you think Emma will have to push it or will he want to change his look to fit in with the rest of SB?
After the finale and seeing Hook in that brown coat, I don’t want him to wear modern clothes anymore. Keep him in fairytale clothes. I’m fine with that.

In my headcanon I have Emma encouraging him to change his clothes, only b/c I assume Hook’s been in those leathers for so long he probably doesn’t really care what he wears.
I’d like him to change his leather vest and pants to get him out of the all black, but keep his coat. I love that coat. It’s stunning and the more I see of it the more things I love about it. Hook’s never been cursed (in the Dark Curse sense) so it would be nice to keep some aspect of his fairy tale costume. Or they could put him in a modern version of what he wore in the finale – he does look good in long jackets. Either way. 🙂 But give him a small wardrobe change (or at least a couple of options so he’s not stuck in the same thing all the time) so it’s a visual reminder of how far his character has come on his journey.
Just a little aside, whatever happened to his black vest he wore in his first ep? That was really nice. I miss that look. Or was that just the “Killian Jones” vest and the “Captain Hook” vest was the red one?If one is to engage with the primordial forces of darkness, one must expect a little social awkwardness

As for Regina, she is polarizing- I used to not be able to understand how she could possibly be redeemed after everything she has done… she has done some VERY dark, evil stuff after all, but now I can see she wants to change & I think that makes the difference for me (plus it’s a fictional tv show lol 😛 ). Regina at the end of the day has brought a lot on herself, she has had chances to change or take a better path, but she allowed Rumple to suck her back into it, that lead to the whole “RH is your soul mate/TL” thing, which lead to her not accepting it & “ruining more lives than just her own” with the decision. So the way I look at it is, Regina is no more a victim than anyone else on the show, but she is less of a victim than many on the show (since many have been victimized by her actions & only 2people have victimized her with theirs) & now she is simple paying the price with the repercussions of the decisions she made in the past.
