I’m not sure that looking through rose-tinted glasses is actually an insult in the way they mean it. Besides, so what if we are? It’s not our fault if they can’t find anything in the show to enjoy. Who cares. There are many shows I don’t like that the rest of the world seem to love. This is my little guilty pleasure. I don’t care if it’s never going to get critic accolades, becasue quite frankly a lot “critically acclaimaed” things are just boring. I’m happy to be paddling around in the shallow end enjoying a lot of eye candy.
*giggles* Wonderful, now when I hear the word ‘things’ I’ll be giggling to myself. Just like when I was watching PotC: At World’s End when they kept on referring to Elizabeth as Captain Swann. I think my housemate thought I was slightly mental.

Creative, joyful, and funny people….gotta love em. And speaking of “gotta love em”…the only weapon to use against obsessive killjoys is to…be happier than they are miserable 
Drives em crazy. Refuse to be part of the joy-sucking sludge. It is a masochistic person who once they have made their feelings known, continually complains and whines when they could remedy their misery by just going somewhere else or finding positive things where they are. Their choice is their sad folly. Troll fans. Blog/Site killers. However, there is one month and a handful of days before all these lovely visuals we’ve been spoiling ourselves with come together with words and storylines, sass and sauciness, torment and tyranny, lust and longing, accents and eye emoting and …ahhh…new leatherrrrrr. (Even for our girl Emma!) It’s going to be an adventure! (When can we expect Henry to get his first motorcycle jacket, eh??? His true test of growing up…can he pull off the leather look??? ) Hehehe, who needs tacos when you have “things” 😉
& yeah, thats why I have to laugh at the double standards – it’s that or let the haters win by leaving 😉

I got the rose coloured glasses from 2 places… but I assume you are referring to the Sf thread in this case? (I dont go in there & only know about some of the weird stuff they say due to 2nd hand accounts from someone/s who do have a nosy around many of threads on this site … I dont even know if they are a member or active on this site tbh, but anyway wicked 😉 words gets back to those with burning ears one way or another lol).
Oh, dont you worry I find it hilarious that those whom enjoy the show & see it how its intended to be watched = watching through rose coloured glasses, I had a good belly laugh (followed by an intense coughing session *hate being sick*)…. if thats what they need to think to get themselves to sleep at night- good luck to them lol 😛
I wont even go into some of the crap I’ve heard recently re. a certain small but vocal faction of the fandom. I mean seriously they should take a step back for their own well being if they truly believe what they are saying & not just trolling- It might just be me, but I cant find things that really do border on, if not cross into mental illness, funny- obvious sour grapes yes, total rubbish yes, ignoring fact to suit themselves, of course- but people so deeply emotionally invested in fiction they are depressed or sad whenever they think about the show…. no, not funny IMO. Funny you say that, as from what I’ve been told you are bang on about it having little to do with SF – whatever floats their boats I guess 🙂 I refuse to go in that particular thread as I quite like my sanity lol 😉
Aww, Thanks- yes it’s been a month & I still havent been able to shake this horrid cough- the last 10days have seen me on bed rest (it turned into pneumonia, because I’m an idiot & didnt stop), so I’ve had heaps of time over the last few days to catch up on the online gossip 🙂As an aside- is anyone else here watching Outlander? If not, give it a try, it’s really good.

I’ve been wondering for awhile now whenever I log in to the forums here and I see their page count compared to ours and I wonder, seriously, what could they be possibly talking about to have a higher page count than ours? It couldn’t be ‘where did we go wrong? How we could not see what was going on? Regarding the direction of their ‘ship and Neal in general.
But they’re talking about stuff not even related to their ‘ship. I mean really, if you want to chat about non ‘shippy stuff not related to your ‘ship, why not create an off topic thread for that? I mean we have an off topic for for this stuff.

I really try and not get involved with what other ‘ships think of the show. But yeah, I understand the aggravation, especially when those haters attack Jen or Adam on Twitter.
I know it is somtimes difficult to accept you were wrong regarding ship. I ve been there before (like 5 times in a liftime). Never have I been so wraped in my disappointment to attack show/book creators publicly(yes twitter is public for me). I’ve told my friends about my feelings, explained why I feel about it the way I did and moved on. Only in one case I still read fanfiction from time to time.

TLK…dunno, but I am certainly not adverse to having them try a few hundred times (grin) IF the “kiss of life” wasn’t already the “one”.
TLK really doesn’t affect me as much. Honestly, now that I give it a moment’s thought, I don’t put much stock in definitive kisses. I kind of embrace all off them into one big telling/sharing/soul revealing/tactile /magical/ complex acceptance of “being”.
ONCE’s appeal to me is a much bigger mind universe of here, now, then, before, after, what if…the voyeuristic appeal of seeing someone else’s brain fantasy in script form. Anything can and will happen and I just go with the flow of being out of control about the whole deal!

Lady, I concur! There is not much that is healthy about the relentless obsession of dead-fictional character agony. Wrapped up in? Well perhaps more Warped than wrapped. Or wrapped too tight or…well. It is an embarrassing downer part of the fandom at this point.
In some form or another, almost every fandom has it’s …mucking fuglies…as we used to call them long long ago in a fandom far far away 🙂

It’s not that I need TLK to enjoy the show. It’s just every season there is ant least 1 TLK.
Season1- Snowing TLK, Emma & Henry TLK, unfinished Rumbelle TLK(or was it season2?)
Season2- Aurora & Philip TLK, Snowing TLK
Season3- Regina & Henry TLK
Not to mention attempted TLK while significant other dosen’t remember. I don’t see lifesaving CS kiss as TLK. Emma did lose her magic.
Because of of above I’m just wondering who and when in season4 are going to share TLK.
Did Emma really lose her magic? (smile) I always thought that she just thought she had. That it had gone inside her to hide behind that wall she had built.
Hook knew it was still in there. So much of his quest was to help her see her magic within.
It came out when Emma broke through that wall. It had been dormant there all the time until she emotionally needed it 🙂
However, in the spirit of your TLK past happenings, I would hope for an Emma-Hook bonafide TLK within the first season, possibly the first finale. And it would be cool if Hook is seriously in need of it and Emma steps forward willingly and wantingly to save him~if not from imminent physical danger, from the turmoil and inner torment that tends to bubble inside of him.
He went to physical and emotional extremes to save Emma from herself (and will probably continue to do so during the season) and now I think it would be fitting and poetic (not to mention wildly romantic) justice, if she would do the same selfless act for him.
While I believe they have been destined since they met to be solid partners in love, it would be great fun to see them head into the second season committed to each other so firmly that they could face new adventures together and for the inhabitants of Storybrooke from a place of unquestionably secure and raspscallionish spirit.

I was thinking that the iconic Disney scene that A&E are referring to is actually the dance between beauty and the beast. It would be done indoors. Emile mentioned she has her dancing shoes.
On another board I visit, there is speculation that Hook get his hand back, but then later might cut it off. The is a picture of him with bandages and other stuff on a table that made a person speculate that.
I’ve been thinking (speculating) that the Will and Hook know each other from Wonderland. Will was Cora’s knave and Hook would later serve a somewhat similar role. Will and Hook could have met before Hook found Cora or while Hook was working with her.
Keeper of Hook and Emma's smoldering first kiss, a certain Pirate's sauciness, the Evil Queen's snarkiness, Grumpy's gruffness and a drop of true love to make it all go down smooth.
