Participanti was just about to post this! Thanks Eala Still don’t like the idea of losing one of these characters, especially since there’s so much to be explored with them.
But you no longer think it’s a cheap way to develop them??? 🙂

ParticipantI think Emma has made her choice pretty clear to the audience, so it’s not a cheap way to develop CS at ALL in my opinion. Like you guys have been saying, even people who were resolutely SURE SF was going to be endgame changed their minds after 3×11.
It really can’t get more obvious that that 🙂
I’m pretty convinced now that it’s Neal too. It’s just such a shame, there were a lot of places his character could go. I’m wondering if Adam’s tweet was just to cover his butt. Maybe the actor is leaving because, like you’ve been saying, he’s unhappy about where his character has been going.

Yeah, i don’t think we’ll ever know. But either way, Neal’s death being planned means CS is TL. And MRJ being unhappy with his role in the show means that CS is TL, really. The only way an actor is unhappy with his role is if it’s not being developed properly.

Guess I have to start thinking so early in the morning lol. The way I see it, it’s more about perception than reality. The reality of the situation is that Emma and Killian’s relationship isn’t swayed by the external forces of their lives, they develop their relationship on their own. It doesn’t matter what comes between them they’re gonna find each other. Neal might not be her choice but having him there when she finally, clearly chooses Killian is much more impactful and sends a clearer message to everyone not just those of us who knew who she chose way before she said it. IF Neal is not in the picture, there’s questions in the back of the mind of others, she may well have been ready to be with the man she loves and let go of her past and it wouldn’t have a made a difference whether Neal was there or not but if it’s “not” the question will inevitably get raised. “Would he have changed anything?” Having Neal there sends the message loud and clear “this is who I chosen, this is who I love, whether you’re here or not I love and want this man.” Emma Swan’s and Killian Jones’ relationship is being developed so beautifully and that message could very well be clear to many of us and the fans of the show that actually pay attention to the story but one thing I dread hearing is “Neal’s gone so it took the decision out of Emma’s hands.” Obviously that’ll be completely trivializing Emma’s decision making but they’ll say it, and if things play out this way it’ll get brought up. Bottom line personally I would love to be able to say, “Neal’s there, she could choose him if she was in love with him, but she’s not. The princess loves the pirate.

ParticipantI think Emma’s choice will be made even clearer before the death if i’m honest. I’m pretty certain Neal will be fairly passive in terms of finding Emma. He may make an initial effort, but ultimately he isn’t the one to go, as we know. That alone means that they aren’t TL.

I talked about this a few pages ago i think, but when Emma ends up with Hook after Neal dies (sorry, forgone conclusion for me) ANY arguments to this effect are crap. If they say that, they’re basically admitting that CS are, and always were intended to be, TL:
If you died I would not be able to move on!
Honestly i couldn’t give a flying *fancy* what the haters say, because they have been consistently proven wrong time and again by CSers, and I fully expect that to continue lol.

A poll made on who might bite the dust this season 3. Neal is on the lead and a popular choice.

ParticipantThe argument that Hook will die because Neverland is over literally makes no sense to me.

Participant@emmajones – yeah i saw that. I’m not giving him anything though, not even a vote, he is nothing short of a f—-ing troll.
@Aurora – *snort*In that case let’s kill off Tink and the Darlings too.
*rolls eyes*
Hook’s sole purpose on the show at the moment is to be Emma’s love interest. Killing him off wouldn’t drive the story forward, would upset fans and OUAT would lose ratings.
Honestly i have zero percent worry on this score anymore.

Participant@CaptainEala I hope you’re right about that, and the incoming event comes after Emma and Killian are able to be together.
It’s not so much that I care about what they say, I’ll just be less annoyed with them unable to say that and well tbh I’m a little vindictive so I’d like to be able to throw that one around a bit after some of the stuff that’s been said 😛
