ParticipantOMG you guys, you have to read Once Upon a Fans interview. There’s a lot of good stuff in there for us.
I saw yes 🙂 It’s great that they’ve confirmed that Killian isn’t dying, not that it was even in question.
But I’m sad because they’ve basically confirmed Neal’s death, which wasn’t really in question either, let’s be real, but it also confirms that it has already been written so it DOES happen in 3×12-3×16. They don’t write that far ahead. I just really, REALLY hope that, like the interview mentions, Neal will get some welcome character growth before his death.

Participant@captaineala – And the fact, that in the same interview, they state that Hook isn’t going anywhere and are coy about Neal’s fate in general, like I don’t know how else to interpret that other than, Neal is most likely going to be the one to die.

Yeah. I mean let’s be real here, the majority knew it was going to be him. They very OBVIOUSLY skirted around Neal’s fate, so I think they’re trying to forewarn his fans.
I just hope that Neal’s fans take this interview seriously and start preparing themselves. If they don’t they’re in for a nasty shock. *sigh*
And I think we should also prepare ourselves for a barrage of hatred. It’s coming.

ParticipantI love this interview so much because it reinforces that Adam and Eddie don’t do fan service, they write a story and this death, is story driven.
Heroes did deaths but the way they did them, it was mostly for shock value and had less to do with story. That’s not what Adam and Eddie are doing either.

ParticipantMe neither, like, they completely avoid talking about his specific character growth, it led to them talking about how Rumple sacrificed himself.
I just felt like they were being completely unsubtle tbh. IMO anyone who thinks that Neal isn’t going to die is fooling themselves at this point.

ParticipantHook haters are going to continue being in denial until they see it and the Neal fans are going to do the same. But I think it’s fairly obvious from that interview what’s coming up.
In happier news, Hope per episode 3×02 ‘Lost Girl’ posted.

ParticipantEDIT – Can’t work the spoiler codes today!! ARGH! Maybe I can work it now…
I did enjoy that article quite a bit! Did you see Adam’s tweets backtracking? He said something like it was taken out of context but the article seemed to be the transcript of an interview to me… I just caught a bit in the article thread, I’m too afraid to go onto Twitter myself, I’m sure he’s getting barraged.
I said it in the other thread, I think the interviewed came off a little fan-girly (I know source…it’s going to be more fan-girly than other interviewers) but I liked that because it seemed like she got A&E chatting a bit more than they do with other reporters (you know, except when they MUST be hammered at a publicity event and think it’s a good idea to spoil the death of a regular).
Overall, if A&E can focus on some quality story and character development, I’ll finally give in and believe a death could be story driven (still very skeptical about that one). Again, said in the other thread but I know not all of us venture out and I like the opinions of all, so – I like the theme of “Home” being explored and I’ve always enjoyed and appreciated the fact that OUAT has focused on non-traditional forms of family. Henry has 2 moms, and a dad. And that’s totally normal. And he’s better off for it. It’s made the concept of fairy tales meets reality much more than an amusing if implausible story.

ParticipantI keep finding points from that interview, like this one. I love this parallel here.
“True love isn’t easy, but it must be fought for. Because once you find it, it can never be replaced.”
Prince Charming from Once Upon a Time, What Happened to Frederick, 1×13.
“A man unwilling to fight for what he wants, deserves what he gets.”
Captain Killian Jones, Once Upon a Time, The Crocodile, 2×04.
Edward Kitsis: That is what we realized—happy endings aren’t always as pat as we thought they would be. And they’re something that have to be fought for and earned.
