See, this is what I don’t like to see either. The actors censoring themselves because of a few bad apples. It’s even worse when fans take your artwork ad redo it without your permission. There’s no common decency anymore, it’s really sad. You just don’t do that, period. That’s someone else’s hard work that they put a lot of time into and then someone takes it and redoes it? I can’t anymore with this fandom. There a certain few I love but I feel like everyone else, just doesn’t care anymore and I don’t see why I should care about them in return.

i know it’s in my rant but I mean as someone who has made posters and artwork it would be such a joy to see one of the actors post something I made. Then to see people re do my stuff with out my permission then to too it all off claiming they fixed it? That’s just low

I think it’s important to note that villains don’t get happy endings and the last scene of the winter finale, we have Hook showing up at Emma’s door and she’s opening her door, not only to Hook but also her happy ending and his (which are one and the same).

If Hook were still the villain, I doubt we would have seen him finding Emma one year later and the fact that this ending was the only one that was filmed, says a lot.  [x] It also means, he isn’t the villain anymore either. I wish all Oncers would accept this and move on, instead of trying to label him as something he clearly isn’t anymore. And remembers, not all characters are going to have same journey (ie., not all redemption arcs are going to be the same) but it doesn’t make Hook’s any less significant either.

Totally agree with you stelio (& your rant)- people need to get over themselves & their sense of self entitlement & just accept the fact this is a friggn TV show not reality! The actors (or whoever) should be able to tweet what they want to tweet, not what some septic fans deem appropriate.

I think it’s getting to the point where the actors, writers & A&E collectively need to flood their twitter accounts with all the ‘stuff’ that ticks off the fandom & at the end say enjoy fighting it out guys- it proves everyone who participates in bashing within the fandom isnt really a fan.

    - it proves everyone who participates in bashing within the fandom isn’t really a fan.

Everyone is going to watch this show differently but the one thing, we all should do, is watch and enjoy the story.  It’s like most people only watch the show for themselves, or ‘ship and could really care less about the story as a whole.  Bashing and all the ugliness going around lately, doesn’t cry fan to me either.  I enjoy the show no matter what.  If there’s stuff I don’t like, I don’t it but the one thing I never do, is take it out on the writers or actors.

Remember, Meghan Ory deleted all her tweets and left twitter because she got so much hate. It wasn’t just her. Her husband left too. And Meghan leaving, even though she’s not on Once anymore, she’s still a part of the OUAT family but it should seriously be a wake-up call to the fandom to stop acting and behaving like a bunch of 5-year-olds who don’t get their way.

Does anyone really want to see the cast slowly disappear from twitter because it’s become such a toxic environment? Adam and Eddie for that matter? I hope not. If yes, you should stop watching the show and do something else meaningful with your life. Enough of this already.

I get you Obisgirl- I honestly dont always enjoy the show personally, however not in a million trillion years would it ever occur to me to go take my own personal disappointment of an ep or scene out on the cast or crew of the show- that’s just insane IMO.

I get told (often by septic SF fans) I’m not a “true” fan of the show, because I took a break in S2 (when the show lost it’s magic for me personally), yet I dont see me as any less of a supposed ‘true’ fan, as I didnt bother the writers or actors of the show with negative comments of any kind before, during or after- it’s not my job as a fan to tell them they are playing their story out ‘wrong’, it’s only my job to watch their story unfold or not- case closed IMO. Besides who’d want to be a “true” fan if it means pulling crud like death threats & bashing the actors over posting fan art that doesnt support their own personal ship.

Let’s talk about something positive. A new ‘hope’ meta posted, this one is for ‘Good Form’

Hope per episode: 3×05 – Good Form

“Good Form,” (3×05) is the backstory of Killian Jones.  He was a lieutenant in the Navy, served under his brother and his Captain and also, in service of the king.

Here, we will examine “hope” as a theme throughout the episode.

Emma, Hook and her parents and Regina are still looking in Neal’s cave for more clues.  Emma discovers some etchings in the cave wall and they are tallies, and she notices something about them.

    Emma: Neal stopped counting.
Snow: ‘Cause he got off the island.
    Emma: He was here longer.
    Charming: Then why would he…
    Emma: Because he lost hope.

Emma relates to how Neal must have felt, living alone in Neverland, all those years ago because she felt the same thing every time she was shuffled between foster families as a child.  She stopped counting and just lost hope.

Hook relates to this because he knows what it feels like to lose hope.

Hook: I just wanted to let you know that I do know what it feels like, to lose hope.

We found out, in this episode,  Milah wasn’t the only loss Hook suffered when he was younger.  He also lost his older brother, Liam. He’s very familiar with loss and being helpless to save someone he loves.  But Emma can’t focus on how he is trying to relate to her because she needs to focus on saving Henry and brushes him off.

Hook: It’s the best hope yet we’ve had of an exit plan. And don’t forget, we’re gonna need one.

After Hook told Charming about the sextant,  it became their best hope for escaping the island.  What the others don’t know, is that the sextant is actually not their escape but Hook’s only device to save Charming from the Dreamshade poison.  But he’s putting it out there because the group needs hope, to believe that they can leave Neverland safely.

Liam: You actually think our king would send us to retrieve something so dangerous?

Killian: I would hope not. This is not what I signed up for.

It was established earlier in the flashback, this version of Killian Jones believed in good form, fighting fairly and generally, doing the right thing.  So after he learned about the Dreamshade’s true nature, he really didn’t want to believe that the king he served was actually a villain and believed in “bad form.”  He’s believed up to this point that the king was a good man, or hoped that he was.

Liam: We reveal our King’s cowardice.

Killian: Well, let’s hope the realm sides with us.

    Liam: Oh, they will.

‘Good Form’ is all about the hero’s journey and specifically Killian’s journey, of what he initially believed was a hero’s journey.   He and his brother believed this mission would bring glory to the Jones’ brothers and help make a name for themselves.  But here, the brothers’ are coming back from the same journey two different, changed people.

And Liam shares Killian’s hope about exposing their king as a villain, and Liam is super confident that the realm, the kingdom will side with them.  But them outing the king will bring a different type of glory than they originally thought.  [x]
