I agree with you both Chimera & Kat – either way it goes down, it will parallel what happens in present day (be it for Henry, Emma or just doing the ‘right’ thing in general)….Soooooo excited- this is like S1 final all over again lol 😉 😎 😎
[adrotate group="5"]May 11, 2013 at 12:39 am #193002MysteryKat25ParticipantLots of storylines for sure!
I don’t want Neal dead, especially not yet. It just wouldn’t give CaptainSwan any credibility at all if he dies. It’s bad enough they may think he’s dead and bond over that (bonding is good) but if they actually start something we’ll never hear the end of him being her 2nd choice and only with him because Neal’s “dead.”
If she starts something with Hook and then Neal comes back and she just goes back, it’ll crush Hook and it’ll destroy any hope of CaptainSwan. I could see Emma taking a time-out and not really dating anybody (and let’s face it, something massive will be going on so she can focus on that and avoid her personal life anyway), but Neal dying is definitely NOT the way to get what we want.
I agree that it would teach Rumple a lesson, but I’m kind of hoping that if he at least thinks for a long time that his son is dead, maybe once he gets over the shock and grief it’ll wake him up and then maybe, just maybe, when he gets him back he’ll just be grateful instead of going off the deep end.
I want a nice slow burn for CaptainSwan so it can be taken seriously. Even making Neal look dead isn’t helping our cause any unless it gives Emma & Hook moments to become FRIENDS first since they both seemingly cared about him (I really hope Hook & Bae had a good relationship). Then they’ll at least be close when Neal comes back into the picture. If Emma & Neal try to get back together, that even doesn’t mean that it will happen long term. Neal believes in destiny and fate and all of that but Emma is tired of being manipulated and controlled her entire life. Just remember / keep in mind that it’s ok for SF to happen for a bit so that she can truly close that chapter in her life before moving on to Hook. I think he of all people would understand because of the Milah stuff and I do think he had / would like to have a good relationship with Bae.
All of that said…I also realllly want his quote to come back into play at some point and for him to do what he suggests of others. “A man unwilling to fight for what he wants deserves what he gets.” – the only time we’ve seen Neal “fight” for Emma is when Rumple was yelling at her (and I love that moment, I really did). Overall though, as sweet as it is that he wanted her to get her family back and be happy and that he didn’t think she’d forgive him etc etc….he still defended Tamara, planned to marry her even after seeing Emma be jealous (and laughing at her for it) AND he only really fights with her, not for her.
I think it could be VERY interesting to see how Hook, Emma, and Neal interact just the 3 of them after we’ve learned the Hook and Bae backstory. Neal may start fighting for her now that she’s back in his life and they’ve said the things that they’ve said, but Hook is the one who gets the woman that she is today better than anybody. Neal and the rest have her on this pedestal and I don’t see her being OK with that. She’s one to push the envelope and she wants to be the one who decides who she is and what she does, not anybody else. Neal is huge on fate and destiny but Emma? Not so much. She’s more like Belle in wanting to decide her own fate.
Neal even said that had he known she was from FTL he wouldn’t have gone near her! What a slap in the face! This is why I need them to talk. I know that he does love her and all but he has a really lousy way of showing it sometimes. In Manhattan when she poured her heart out to him about loving him and being hurt by it all he just said that it was destiny and listened to Pinocchio. He never said it back then! It took Tamara turning on him (after he yelled at everybody saying he was going to marry her and that Emma was wrong) and shooting him and trying to send him through another portal for him to even admit it.
I want the cowardly side of Bae to go away frankly. I’m sick of it. I know he’s Rumple’s son but he also seems to really recognize the things that Rumple has done wrong so that he can do a better job of them himself (ie: be a dad). I adore young Bae. Last season when people suggested the idea of SwanFire I was totally on board! I like MRJ, Neal seems sweet, but I can’t get over how many stupid mistakes he’s been making!
On the plus side, though I can see the other side of things and am torn at moments myself, I still believe in the foundation they have given CaptainSwan just as much as any other romance on the show. Whether people want to admit it or not, the parallels are there, the setup is there…they just better deliver on it.
I will settle for backups, especially if there is at LEAST a CaptainSwan friendship because I love Hook so much, but those two really do play well off each other and it just jumps off the screen. Younger Emma may have wanted sweet, confused Neal but she’s been through so much already (a lot of it because of him…) that I think older more mature Emma may just make a different choice.
Parallels are there for a reason and both ships are viable because both parallel Snowing, but I think the key here is that CS was paralleled to SF…which was in the past. One must confront the past and move on from it – an issue that Emma & Hook clearly have in common.
If the Bae is Peter theory is right, even if Hook and Bae get along…they could still have massive fights over Emma, making that one very interesting triangle indeed!
I am however hopeful after what I’ve been seeing & hearing that we’ll at least get some moments to hold us over to S3!

May 11, 2013 at 2:00 am #193055RumplesGirlKeymasterHey CS’ers. Just thought I’d pass off this section of a Colin Interview for you guys
Any interaction between Emma and Hook? Those two have always had sparks.
They’re definitely attracted to each other. You see Hook interacting with a lot of people. They definitely have a connection, Emma and Hook. Whether it’s any more than that, who knows

"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"May 11, 2013 at 2:01 am #193057surayyaParticipantI agree Kat- I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve stated I want CS to go nice & slow- I’m happy if we get to good friends by end of next season- with glimpses of Emma starting to consider Killian in a romantic light (It’d be interesting if it was Killian to back off a little, by telling Emma she has to choose- past or present, but he will always fight/be there or her 😎 ).
I too feel SF needs to happen- if not full on, then at least ‘testing it out’ (I wont go into all the reasons again), for Emma to truly ‘move on’.
I like your point on Neal fighting with, rather than for Emma, Kat & I too want Killian’s words to come into play. I also agree with Neal & Emma’s opposite ‘fate’ beliefs. Hook really was the 1st person who actually went “I get it” & it’s ok for you to feel that way, no judgments on how she should or shouldn’t feel. they both give back to the other as good as they give- something neither is used to & both enjoy.
Yep I too was on board with SF..until Tallahassee – then I was CS all the way & SF down the drain- for so many reasons (again I wont go back into them again lol)
Again agree on young & older Emma’s wants & there parallels- she’s still in some ways that confused, scared 17yr old as she never was able to move on from her past, better she move on & be with a confident protector, who will allow her to become the person we now only get glimpses of- all the time, than stay that 17yr old chasing a lost love.
We all have to wear different coats until we find the one that suits us best & what suits us today, isn’t usually what suited us a decade ago.I sure hope so- It’d be nice to even get the ‘I fight for what I want’ line to Emma this coming ep, sure it wont be romantic, but it could let Emma know he's not a man who will turn his back on her when it comes to finding/saving Henry & she already knows he wouldn't have left her up there, so it'd make for some interesting banter on board the JR during S3 😉 .

I wont read that right now- if they start contradicting themselves in interviews at this point, I will be one very frustrated Oncer! Esp given A&E own hints at a romance, along with the on screen stuff 🙁 😉
May 11, 2013 at 2:06 am #193064surayyaParticipantSlightly off topic ….. but, YAY! Its offical- Once has S3! Bring on the CS times 😉 😆 😀
May 11, 2013 at 2:11 am #193067MysteryKat25ParticipantI agree Surayya – I’ve ranted elsewhere and probably here too about taking things with a grain of salt from what the actors (and even some of the writers) say.
I will say this though, in that interview he mentioned that Hook has the ability to be many things, including the things that people who think him just a villain want to see, but also that he can be “compassionate”…I like that and was so happy it was in there because it gives me hope we’ll see more of that side.
I like your idea of getting an “I fight for what I want” line in there to Emma at some point. I need her to trust him and I need her to see that he is somebody worth trusting, regardless of how she’s been burned in the past. Technically, this time she burned first and I think he’ll be understanding of that.
As I’ve said many times before, everything that happened in FTL after he got down from the beanstalk was under the watchful eye of Cora and even SHE realized that Hook chose Emma! Now Emma just needs to learn the truth about what happened…I so want him to say that he was planning on just going with her and Snow until Emma knocked him out! We’ve been over the rest about the swordfight, etc…
I just need the foundation for BONDING and TRUST. Anything that is a step in that direction I will take. Pretty please??
And thanks RG for bringing that over! It’s fun to drop in and give people a bit of something for their ship / theory / whatever it is, whether you believe in it / want it fully or not. It’s like giving a little gift. 🙂
*passes cookies out – we’re gonna need them, this is finale week which is almost as bad as finals week except you don’t have to be trapped in a library studying…unless you want to be of course ;)*

Agreed!
Colin said on twitter earlier that he’s hoping to get up early to live-tweet cause he’s so excited about it as well! That means there’s lots of good Hook stuff for us…right??
