ParticipantI don’t think she really would sacrifice him either, I was trying to be devil’s advocate and see it from all angles. *puts CS glasses back on*
Oh, yes I understand that- I was talking from a non shipping perspective as well lol. I was talking more from Emma as a stand alone character perspective. At this point I think it would be ooc/crossing a moral line for Emma to be willing to have someone else die just so she doesnt have to give up/risk her magic. Maybe once she’s grown more into her magic & it really has become an integral part of her identity, then yes OR If the person was already dying anyway (like Neal was & she couldnt “do” anything to stop it) then Yes, but right now- a healthy person she cares for- I cant see Emma just “letting” them be murdered for her sake- if that makes sense 🙂

Yeah, it totally does. I don’t like the idea of WW forcing Emma’s hand though. If she hurts Killian to get Emma to kiss him (ignoring any possible TLK at this point) that’s doing exactly what WW wants. Emma will know she’s going to be played now Hook told her about the kissing curse and hopefully will want to be one step ahead. And if that’s lying about her feelings for the devilishly handsome pirate then so be it. There would be no point to killing Hook if WW isn’t going to get what she wants. But then of course WW is NUTS and might just kill him anyway.
So basically with all this discussion, I have no clue what’s going to happen and I keep going round and round in circles. Once I think of something I can counter it with something else, which in turn can be countered. Fun though!
Just one more thing on Emma, *squee* that she’s calling him Killian even when she doesn’t need to now. I know she was having a go at him at the time, but it kind of made sense to why she was so mad. It wasn’t the pirate who attempted to ‘kidnap’ her son, but her friend.

ParticipantIt’s kind of funny cause I’m mad at all the characters involved. Snowing was way too quick to attack Killy and question his allegiance. Emma was mean to both Henry and Killy that episode and IMO went too far with her trust comment. She just seemed off to me all episode…. Killian was just generally dumb and wrong in his decision to take Henry with only Smee for protection (…really?) and he failed to fully stick up for himself . he was desperate and made a mistake but his intentions were unselfish… I think though Emma and Killian had more justification for their actions while Snowing was way out of line. Everybody needs to get their stuff together. Zelena is making everyone a little nutty.
Agree with all of this. Yes, after processing, I can understand Emma getting upset with Killian. I’d be pretty PO’d too. Ultimately, she does know something is wrong with Killian and though she understands he doesn’t have to tell her, he’s now making decisions concerning her child based on this information he refuses to explain. So I’ll forgive Emma’s “how can I trust you” line, especially given the events immediately occurring before this statement. I think, too, Emma might have been talking from that place inside her that just wants to leave and forget everything SB once the WW is defeated. That’s not going to happen – that became obvious when Henry remembered and was so incredibly happy to see Regina, followed by Regina and Henry’s TL kiss. It also seems like they work together at some point during the episode so she must acknowledge those words were hollow.
I also agree, I would love to see Killian just say ‘forget it’ and get ready to walk away. Because I think Emma does take him for granted. This may be because of her ‘walls’ or whatever else, but I think at this point, she knows exactly how she feels and I think she knows she still sends him mixed signals. Emma does a lot of “letting things happen to her” as opposed to taking control over her life. She’s the savior so when she needs to, she does what must be done for the greater good, but when it comes to her interpersonal relationships, EVERYONE has had to work like crazy, and something huge usually has to be going down, for Emma to realize how important that person is to her. Again, I know, walls, but you know what? She’s not a child anymore. She’s a 30ish year old woman. She’s been around these people long enough that it’s time for her to grow and change just like everyone else is growing and changing. And I think we saw this just about happening with Killian in the last ep between Emma saying she can’t trust him and Snowing accusing him of lying…you can tell he’s just about broken. Our poor pirate!!

ParticipantWell, well, well…
well, we know from BTS for the last episodes that Hook is alive, well and active, but perhaps in this promo shot, since he looks pretty beat up, pale and…wet??? (and looks like he collapses next to a well, as well (grin))… could Zelena be trying to get Emma’s lips on his any way she can by trying to drown him and Emma giving him CPR??? Weirder things have happened and the green biiiiatch wants him to stay alive and cursed or he’d be flapping chimp by now. Or it could be that my CPR certificate renewal class at work is fresh in my mind! heh

I know it what you mean- it feels like the Once merry go round of possibilities in my head at the moment- for every reason there is to “go” one direction, there’s a countering reason to that being the direction they would take lol – at this point I’m almost just ready to sit back & enjoy the ride 😉 (not that that will stop me speculating lol)

ParticipantUm, so after pondering the scene of infinite emotional pain all day something occurred to me.
During Snowing’s ridiculous accusation against Killy, Emma looks extremely pensive. As in everything that Killy just told her finally sunk in. Greenie cursed his LIPS in order to steal her magic because she thought the best person to remove Emma’s magic would be him. And THAT is why he has been acting so weird lately – because he can’t kiss her. The way he is CURSED is that he can’t kiss her. And Emma is NOT stupid, she knows the one way ALL curses can be broken – she JUST watched a curse be broken by that very same method, in fact she has personal experience with that method. I think part of the whole RIDICULOUS scene that made no sense at all was simply to allow us to see Emma . . . subtly processing. I think she was contemplating the same thing we have all been thinking – is it possible that she can break his curse by kissing him? WE all know that Killy is her True Love but in that moment I think for the first time she actually started to mentally process the fact that he just might be. I think she was actually considering that the WW might be wrong – that just like Hook reminded her that Cora wasn’t able to remove her heart because love is strength, Greenie won’t be able to remove her magic via kissing Killian because love is strength.
I keep thinking about the scene after Charming proposed to Snow and they were talking about how they were going to defeat Regina and take back the palace. Snow says that they will do it they way they have done everything else “Together.” Someone mentioned somewhere that what got all messed up in this episode is that Emma and Killian weren’t acting together like they usually do and therefore they both got all out of sink. And neither one of them function well when they aren’t in sink. They really need to act “together” to be at their best. So I keep thinking that a TLK is really the BEST way for them to defeat the WW. It is the ultimate way for them to act together and take the WW by surprise when Emma’s magic can’t be taken away.

ParticipantI had to have a giggle over this- as it really does highlight the absurdity of this scene lol 😉

ParticipantLOL so true!
And the WW called Neal dumber than a box of hair, I think the Charmings have claimed that title.

ParticipantBahahahahaha Have just been LMAO readin the tv.com once recap- it’s great 🙂
Please note I LOVE OQ, but it does kind of feel this way, given EVERY villian has tried to split our ship up to date lol
We then got to see an extremely long canoodling sesh betwixt Robin and Regina upstairs at Granny’s. Obviously their romance has been building up for so long—like, what, three or four episodes now? And we’ve seen them overcome by so many obstacles (like that time he hid her heart in a termite nest and it got stolen, but she was like “u did ur best”), and we’ve watched in heartbreaking suspense HOPING it was love as they grew closer and closer (like that time when Tink was like, “This guy is your soulmate, deal w/ it”). WELL GUESS WHAT: All the tension paid off, guys! The show explicitly told us they would get together, and then—they did! Man I feel like anything is possible!!!
And the explanation of how Regina could still feel for Robin even without her heart, that was super cool too! Guess Cora’s entire backstory is impossible then, oh well! There’s nothing like some good old fashioned lamp-shading to make a romantic moment feel especially organic.
LOLOLOL
The Charmings had one of those moments where they start thinking uncharacteristically coherently, and Regina joined in and they all decided to get the Story Book to make Henry believe in magic again, because that would break the curse. Where is the Story Book? It’s wherever the person who needs it to be is. Like when Henry needed it, it showed up in Snow’s closet. Now that Emma needs it, it’s appeared in Snow’s closet. See how that works? Me neither.
*sniggers*
Glinda the Good Witch was hiding behind a door that could only be entered if your IQ was lower than 45, so the Charmings obviously had no problem but Regina had to wait for them to stop giving each other flowers before they could all head out, and then she also had to wait outside the door for them talk to Glinda. Glinda was cheerfully unhelpful, she informed them that Zelena’s power source is the frying-pan-sized necklace she’s been hauling around all season, but also told them there was nothing she could do to stop Zelena. Only Emma, their “do-over” abandoned daughter could save them now, so too bad they threw her away like old hotdog water…..
Meanwhile Charming, Snow, and Regina consulted over what Glinda had told them, and Charming came up with the bright idea that Snow should cast the Dark Curse again to get them back to Storybrooke—BY CRUSHING HIS HEART. Charming is seriously unhappy, guys. Remember when he decided he would just die of slow-acting poison on Neverland? Remember when he raced out to the stables and drank himself calm when Snow said she was pregnant? And now this? Is there like, no such thing as divorce in Fairy-Tale Land?
Approximately whilst all this was happening, Hook had had a rough day. He was sassed by Zelena, who had bundled him into the boot of a car and smacked his lips with a rose and threatened Henry’s life. Hook ran into Henry trying to jimmy open Emma’s ride so he could drive himself to a bus station and back to his exciting NYC life, and Hook was like, “How about a nautical voyage instead?” and Henry was like, “I’ve learned all about the importance of trusting strangers in NYC, let’s go down to the docks alone together.”
Obviously they were almost immediately attacked by flying monkeys, and then Emma and Regina and the Charmings showed up and started burning up the monkeys. R.I.P. Aurora and Phillip or Bo Peep or Scare Crow or whatever unfortunate people had been transformed into those primates.BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA on the monkey thing
Henry broke free and ran over to Regina to try and revive her, and when she came to she gave him a big kiss and broke the curse. This was something I really wanted to see happen, it was an important acknowledgement of Regina’s role in his life and the true love that exists in the hearts of adoptive parents everywhere, and it sealed the deal on Regina officially being one of the good guys. Then Henry got weirdly nosy and all about the locker-room talk, as is his wont this season—asking about kisses this and kisses that. Hopefully Tinkerbell can explain the Robin Regina relaish because I sure can’t, lad.
I loved that it was Henry/Regina this time as well.
Hook told Emma that he had been kidnapping Henry out of concern. Let this be a lesson, though: no matter how good your intentions, don’t try to parent other people’s kids. Not even a little bit! Generally it’s not appreciated. Hook quite nobly then regaled Emma with the story of his cursed-yet-luscious lips
Emma was like “THE PRESUMPTION.” Like her day hadn’t been bad enough! She went off on Hook for how he handled Henry and then all the Charmings turned on him about “who sent the message, huh? Who sent you the message? You in league with Zelena even though you just told us all her plans? Huh? HUH?!”
But then we learned that Hook was telling the truth: The mighty morphing powers of CGI were at play in the mysterious memory cure that had been sent to his ship. While Neal was “absorbed” into Rumple, he’d pulled himself out of his father’s body just long enough to send a drunk dove message to Hook about finding Emma and explaining everything. Sure, you know what, sure. We’re here to watch fairy-tales, and I know one of my old favorites was “The Boy who Shared a Body With His Father Until He Wanted Something Really Badly and Then He Had His Own Body Back for a While But Then Shortly After He Flopped Back Onto His Dad’s Body Like a Drunk Frat Boy Onto A Beanbag Chair,” so cut the show some slack. So yeah, even the people who clearly arent CS shippers felt that was all just a little ….. brainless of the Charmings lol 😉
I will be clear here though- I’m not saying the show is stupid or A&E havent done a good job (I mean yes, some of the choices they’ve made are laughable due to absurdity)- because clearly they have done a great job here! We’re all so invested in the show & characters we’re here on a forum, taking time out of our lives to discuss the pros & cons of fictional characters actions & reactions in detail LOL.
I think at this point, what we are feeling/reacting too, is nothing more than if in real life, people you expected ‘more’ from, did something seriously stupid- if that makes sense (we are talking about Snow, who despite the EQ trying to kill her REPEATEDLY almost her whole life, refused to allow her to be killed or believed she was “just” evil- but sure, it’s ok to assume the pirate, who hasnt actually murdered any of your loved ones, nor tried to murder you, but has spent most of the time he’s known you trying & succeeding to save you & your’s, as well as declaring his feelings for their daughter in a place where one of you cant tell lies, in order to help save the women he’s just confessed to loving’s, ex partner (in crime) from dying in NL, IS evil & working for WW- who was just trying to take him down with flying monkeys… cause yeah-that makes sense!) & I’m still looking forward to how A&E tell the rest of the story, because obviously I’m Waaaaaay to invested in this story to be considered a ‘normal, mentally healthy adult’ lol :p
