Maybe, they’re throwing SO many red herrings out on August’s identity because, it IS just so obvious that it should be Bae..the only person who knew about the dagger. Without all these red herring clues that point otherwise, there wouldn’t be so much speculation 😕

OMG! where did you get that info? I would love that Belle appears before the finale. I mean, we haven’t seen her since ep15 and it would be weirdly sudden to just see her in the finale. I’ve been looking at the imdb.com character appearance lists and didn’t find her in any ep between now and the finale though..
I’m now thinking that if it turns out Emma does try to leave…but then she finds out that now she can’t! She’s trapped in Storybrooke with the rest of them. 😆
I agree the EQ seemed to be “easy” with Jefferson, as if he were her extended family or very close family friend. My guess would be maybe Jefferson knew Cora or was in a close circle with Regina’s family, prior to his renouncing use of the magic Hat. She seemed surprised he would prefer to live like a poor man, implying that she knew him when he was more wealthier.
And with Jefferson’s own easiness and teasing tone when referring to her as “the Queen”…maybe he knew her before she became Queen.
Also, It wouldn’t be a surprise that all or most of the “magical” beings in FTL would be in the know of each other.
Wow! so many great comments and insights on this thread..kudos to everyone! A few thoughts sparked in me from reading this thread today:
Rumple said the dark curse was THE curse to end ALL curses…maybe the curse is supposed to end all magic. He said the true love potion would be the ultimate magic and that you could do anything…including getting magic to destroy itself?
That favor Mr. Gold wants from Emma, maybe this would be the final act to take magic away from their lives forever. And to end his own curse.

I was totally in the same mode..when I saw that scene I was like..what the? There’s got to be more to it than that…Even Regina was surprised he wanted to make a deal with her. Then I think she let her emotions about MM get in the way and then she became a pawn in his plan.
I wonder if Malificent and Belle returning to OUAT at the same May episode or episodes means that their storylines will intermingle in some way. I mean, maybe Malificent is in that psych ward with Belle?

Wow! That comparison is really cool. I mean, I would never think to compare Anakin/Luke to Rumpel/Bae..but it makes perfect sense! In the upcoming episode, August may be confronting Mr. Gold to reveal to him the fact that he is his long lost son and show him that it is not too late to choose good over evil. Just like Luke, at the very end of ROTJ was able to get DV to turn “good”(even if for a few moments) before he died. Thanks for the amazing insight!!
