If Ashley couldn’t have her baby and was pregnant for 28 years and people didn’t age then logically females couldn’t get pregnant, either, before Emma came to town and started time moving again.
I’m still thinking this is Scandal and not Once.

December 12, 2014 at 8:52 pm in reply to: TVLine Dec 12: Blind Item (A Baby) (CONFIRMED: NOT ONCE) #293056JosephineParticipantThere are a few key phrases in the Blind item:
…planning to impregnate its leading lady (the character, not the actress!) early in the new year.
So we can assume from that statement that:
1. The actress is not pregnant in real life, just on the show.
2. It’s a show that comes back early.
I wouldn’t consider Once coming back early in the new year. It’s on hiatus. ABC is showing other series such as Scandal and Revenge earlier in the new year than Once. So I really don’t think the blind item is for Once.

JosephineParticipant. Jo: Just think the Joann will be new and fresh when it reopens. There is always Amazon
They’d just had a major remodelling and grand reopening, too, a month before the fire. *sigh*
RG, your snowman is adorable.
I am knitting a cowl. I was planning on knitting a cabled one, started it, and didn’t like it in the yarn I’m using. So I picked another design. This one in the shape of leaves. I had to go through and rewrite it after reading all the comments and the modifications various people made and doing a sample myself. So I’m making the pattern, just with every decrease changed and a few others. 😉 It’s in bulky yarn so it shouldn’t take me long. Will include pics soon.
Also knitting dishcloths for Christmas at the same time 🙂 Can’t have one project going at a time.

It can’t be Rumbelle, and so that leaves us with CS or OQ. Of those two couples I’d say Regina has the most chance. I despise this idea enough to contemplate quitting the show completely, but think it’s a possibility just because it’s the same people who pushed Frozen so quickly and reuse plot devices. I can image them in their offices saying “Oh, another pregnancy would be a fantastic idea. Everyone will be talking about it.” However, will everyone be watching it? Not a good road to go down, imo.
Realistically, I don’t think it’s Once. One possibility is Juliette on Grimm. She just took a test and we’re waiting for the results and they’re not married, but I don’t think it’s her, either.
If I were putting money down on this thing, I’d say it was Connie Briton’s character on Nashville or Olivia on Scandal.

JosephineParticipantVery cute, RG. You guys are in the Christmas spirit. Meanwhile, I don’t even have a tree out and don’t know if I’m putting one up.
And I miss my Joann’s. I guess it will be closed at least into Jan or Feb (neighboring store had a fire and damage moved to Joann’s). At least it curbs my yarn buying.

December 8, 2014 at 6:22 pm in reply to: The Future of Live Televised Musicals. What Do You Want To See Next? #292525JosephineParticipantMy money is on The Music Man being the next. There’s been chatter and rumors about it and it’s very family friendly. Although I would love South Pacific, probably one of my favorites.

December 8, 2014 at 2:52 pm in reply to: Is Anyone Else Confused & Bothered With Rumple's Storyline? #292489JosephineParticipant*raises hand at being confused*
Sometimes I think they’re out to sabotage to their own show. They have a character that has perennially been a fan favorite and they’re ruining him. Even going back to to Season One there has always been reasons and rationalizations over Rumple’s behavior. We might not have agreed with or thought they were moral, but there were reasons. Now he just wants to take over the world? I don’t buy it! He was the most powerful wizard in the EF and he kept to himself in his castle, making deals when it suited his purpose and twisting desperate souls who sought his power in his favor. He had no desire to rule all. But now he does?
And being imprisoned by Zelena isn’t enough reason for him to go psycho. Belle’s mother was killed and then she taken by an evil wizard as payment for saving her town immediately after. Then she was kidnapped by an evil queen. She was imprisoned in the EF for years, YEARS, and then in an asylum for 28 years where time stood still. She had months of being cognizant of time moving in Storybrooke with no signficant interaction. This girl has the most reason of any of them to go pyscho on the town. Rumple needs to stand in line behind his wife because if anyone has the rights to go postal on that town, she has first dibs on it.
I know Bobby loves playing evil better and I think Adam and Eddy don’t know how to deal with his character any other way. So let’s make him evil again. But it’s not realistic. Yes, this is a fantasy but we have to have some foot in reality.
Personally, I think it’s way past time for Rumple to shed his curse. But then I thought that last year. They don’t realize that seeing Rumple struggle with being mortal is much more compelling television. So much stuff for mining in that story line,
Just looking at Tumblr and Twitter we’re not the only ones who are confused. Seems like a lot of people are having difficulty with this story line.

December 7, 2014 at 1:30 pm in reply to: The Future of Live Televised Musicals. What Do You Want To See Next? #292308JosephineParticipantI think they’ll have to stick to family friendly musicals. They want to appeal to the broadest audience. I also think sticking to the older ones might be the way they want to go.
PBS airs broadway musicals frequently…Les Mis, Phantom, Cats, (and others not ALW). They tape the broadway versions and show them so you get a good stage experience. Check your local listings and you can see quite a few of them.
Thinking in the family friendly vein, as Nonnie suggested, Once Upon a Mattress would be a cute option (the one ABC did years ago is very good with Carol Burnett, Tracy Ullman, Zoey Dechanel and Matthew Morrison) or even R&H’s Cinderella.

JosephineParticipantSo Vanity Fair did a ranking of Captain Hook’s through the ages and here is the entry for Once’s:
This black-leather-clad Hook would rank much higher if he weren’t such a try hard. It’s enjoyable to watch him roll his carefully lined eyes at Pan, but nobody should have their smoulder turned up to 11 at all times.
*smirks* Jason Isaac on the other hand got this mention:
Jason Isaacs is the unparalleled winner here. His wig is on point. (Never a problem for Issacs.) And even though he has all the standard trappings of Hookdom (big hat, long hair, hook, red coat, villainous facial hair) he somehow made it all his own.
Uhmm..yeah. 😉

JosephineParticipantCarrie Underwood was a bit wooden in her acting in “The Sound of Music” but overall it was very good. You could tell she was a singer stepping in as an actor, but the production quality was great. I think some of the criticism was some people didn’t realize it’s play on screen…not a movie. It’s a play. Allison Williams has a background in musical theater so I think it should be good.
Hmm….my sick brigade are awfully quiet today. I am feeling a bit better although nobody believes me as I sound worse. My cough has changed and my voice has too so I can’t get people to believe I’m getting better. This is week five. Do I win a prize? Antibiotics, anyone?
