I wish Gold finds another key where he can bring back Bae in exchange of his own life (again) and as he is about to put it in – Hook pounces on him and takes the key and puts it in.

I was never a “SwanFire” but I loved the STORY the way Rumple sacrificed everything in his life, name, soul, life, dignity, EVERYTHING for this boy long before he was even born…
I was the one to always want someone (Emma, maybe) to smack Neal upside the head and tell him to stop emotionally abusing his poor father. I was mad at Bea/Neal, yes I was, but not mad enough to want him DEAD!!!
this story was getting SO EXCITING what with Zelena’s wickedness and her being Regina’s sister and Emma and Regina’s love for each other being so obvious and beautiful… Oh I so wanted an Emma Regina relationship where they are both happily parenting Henry along with Neal and Robin and Ronald…
but NOW?now I am completely uninterested.
not only that, I realized that probably can’t even watch any reruns on netflix anymore!! it’s disturbing even to do that anymore haha I used to watch and rewatch season 2 on Netflix so much, but now I can’t, I just can’t. I lost all of my excitement for this story.
but hey, I might come looking for some fun conversation with all of you guys
aww, you guys I will miss all of you. it’s a pity this story turned into such tripe. it had such potential!
agreed cinders about almost all you said, except that I will still enjoy this show, because I won’t. Neal is not really dead, but either way, this was a weak plot device and just wrong…
Regina used to be my favorite character, and yet, I lost my happiness in seeing her on screen. I am just not interested in Her love life anymore… I used to care about Rumple and Belle, but now I am totally not interested in rumbelle or anything. I don’t know, it’s just how I feel. all I care about is how this father/son relationship plays out now. I am probably not going to care to see the next fey episodes until they tell the story of how Gold brings Bae back, and the story better be a worthy one.
Bold storytelling choice? BOLD storytelling choice? really? I see it as a cowardly storytelling choice. a flimsy one.
a BOLD storytelling choice would be Gold’s sacrifice still standing. THAT’S a bold storytelling choice.this storytelling choice is them being CHICKEN. they wrote a death of a character, and realized that this might mean that he won’t be a lot on set, so they CHICKENED OUT and killed someone else to get him back. this is garbage.
and it’s a pity. they had something beautiful going there.
the story of an ugly man with a beautiful heart and a beautiful soul, who had a tragic past. a man who made ONE desperate choice in his life that caused him to struggle for his soul.
a man who later, because of that desperate choice to save his beloved child, ended up letting go of that child because of a split second decision over a portal that broke him and ruined his life.
this man finally won over the darkness, but it was too late, his son was gone to the land without magic, so he did his damnest to find him and make sure he had a chance at happiness.
and finally he made the last sacrifice (after sacrificing and sacrificing for that boy)
it was a beautiful way to tell his child he loved him, and always did. it was a happy ending, and yet it was an ending.a bold storytelling choice would be to let that ending stand. we would have been able to see Rumplestiltskin in flashbacks or in Belle’s or Baelfire’s dreams, so even that wouldn’t be that bold a storytelling choice. but if RC would refuse to come for such little screen time because his character is dead, they had to bring him back so his screen time increases.
CHICKENS!!!!I think so. He mentioned to Zelena that he knew what the price was to bring him back. So, It was very likely that he knew what awaited him wasn’t “death” per se. He probably just figured he’d be sealed away for eternity. That’s a pretty heavy sacrifice…
Also, the black goo, I think Lumiere said, was the darkness that the first Dark One was made of. So Rumpel didn’t die, just reverted to dark matter in a vault.
it is a heavy sacrifice. I bet this is why he was so afraid of it, unlike a regular person, he would not just die and rest in peace, he would suffer for all eternity locked up in that dark vault…
this is why I can not believe that Neal is really dead… such a major sacrifice to make sure that his son had a chance at happiness… he will never let Bae die for him. he did some major magic when he saved Bae and lost his brain and dagger. so I am sure this big magc included another sacrifice where somehow he will save Neal, bring him back, and he will either go back into that vault or die or whatever…I don’t understand…. It’s 4 in the morn and I am still not able to sleep… am I insane?
if MRJ wanted off the show, they just could have used another actor to be Nealfire. It makes no sense to write a show around the actors if this is the result, I’m so sorry.
Gold does not deserve this pain after he did his damnest to protect his family for the past few centuriesThey go and confirm that Emma and Neal are TL and then they make Emma kill her TL and then he dies in her arms.
