Especially when it’s claiming that your opinion is fact within neutral grounds. Such arguments never lead to anything, as everyone’s entitled to their own opinion on the matter.

Casting is always on point when it comes to casting family members. I guess if they’re announcing it now, he must be in 510
Matt did say on Twitter that Hook’s father would be in 5A and that casting was currently underway, so that makes sense.
My guess is that the main reason they decided not to use the shawl was because it would have been obvious. They wanted the item to be a twist at the end of the episode, and they wanted to do that scene with Emma tricking Hook. However, by doing so they sacrificed the characters’ own logic. Belle clearly would have known about the shawl.
