My big concern with this promo is if they’re gonna dumb down Ursula from a goddess to just a witch. It seems like she’s sharing a scene with at least Cruella? But Merrin tweeted the other day: “Holy smokes. We just saw the first cut of the #EvilTrio entrance to OUAT.” and if what they saw was this promo then it suggests they’re probably all three sharing a scene, (thought I know Ursula, Cruella and Rumple have been sharing scenes too, so that might be what she was talking about, but do supporting actors get to see things like selected scenes from an ep that aren’t a promo?). I’ve got no problems if they want to bump Cruella up to witch status, because it would make her fit better IMO. But if they demote Ursula’s status to witch, I’ll be annoyed.

To be fair, being a Sea Witch is what Ursula is supposed to be traditionally. What I could see them doing is making it so people only thought she was a God due to her powers of the sea. After all, she was supposed to be a “myth”, and myths aren’t known to be 100% factual.

The total viewer ratings are the same as last week, so I suspect we’re going to be stable at another 2.0 demo rating.

    ABC TELEVISION NETWORK TO AIR

“BACKSTAGE WITH DISNEY ON BROADWAY: CELEBRATING 20 YEARS”

HOSTED BY JESSE TYLER FERGUSON, SUNDAY, DECMEBER 14

Unprecedented Backstage Access with the Broadway Casts of Disney’s “The Lion King” and “Aladdin” and the North American Tour of “Newsies”

Special Musical Performance by Sir Elton John

In celebration of Disney Theatrical Productions’ 20 years on Broadway, the ABC Television Network will air “Backstage with Disney on Broadway: Celebrating 20 Years,” airing SUNDAY, DECEMBER 14 at 7:00 p.m., ET and hosted by Broadway veteran Jesse Tyler Ferguson, star of ABC’s Modern Family. This one hour special, produced by Lincoln Square Productions, takes viewers on a journey through the creation of Disney’s eight Broadway musicals: “Beauty and the Beast,” “The Lion King,” “AIDA,” “Tarzan,” “The Little Mermaid,” “Mary Poppins,” “Newsies” and “Aladdin.” The special features new commentary and revealing anecdotes by the stars and theatre professionals about the creation and long runs of these beloved titles.

“Backstage with Disney on Broadway: Celebrating 20 Years,” also features music from the Disney on Broadway catalog, including special musical performances from Sir Elton John, Sam Palladio and Clare Bowen (ABC’s “Nashville”), Ashley Brown (“Mary Poppins”) and Adam Jacobs (“Aladdin”).

For the first time, viewers have unprecedented access to the fast pace and high stakes world of Broadway. Cameras are backstage during an actual performance of “Aladdin” during the show stopping production number, “Friend Like Me.” Composer Lebo M leads the ensemble of “The Lion King” in a special rehearsal, celebrating the show’s South African roots and themes that are the very heart of this landmark musical. The cast of the North American tour of “Newsies” takes viewers on the road as the tour prepares for its official opening night in Philadelphia, as they “carry the banner” of this unlikely Disney smash hit musical.

I liked this promo a lot, but I can’t get over the fact that MALEFICENT SHOULD BE DEAD. If they don’t explain that, I’ll be very angry.

Otherwise, I hope this is a nice conclusion to the arc. It’s had its ups and downs (some more than others…), but after a really strong episode, I hope they can end it on a high note. At least, one that can hold us until March.

While I agree with your concern, I honestly always thought it was a waste to kill her off so early with little story the way they did anyway. Let’s face it, she was only “killed off” because Kristin Bauer was still busy with True Blood. Now that True Blood is over, they found the opportunity to do more with the character.

Looks like Belle will get some screen time, but not so happy. Looks like she’s kidnapped?

And for the life of me, I can’t make out what Cruella says.

Pretty sure she’s saying “we will be the victors.”

I actually prefer this new look for Maleficent over her original look. I was never a big fan of that purple costume. Still trying to wrap my head around how Cruella fits into this story.

    How–door—how?!?!

Wonder if we’re actually meeting the Sorcerer or the Apprentice escaped the hat. Notice the door is in the abandoned mansion that Rumple found the hat in, which likely belongs to the Sorcerer.

    2) How did Regina not know that some new stranger arrived in her town?

    3) How did Ingrid use magic inside SB to take Emma’s memories. Regina’s ring barely worked to make the hat function, so how did the crystal?

    2) This was probably an oversight. I guess she just kept incognito to the best of her abilities. Granted she only cared about August because he was talking to Henry, though she was still alarmed when she noticed Kurt and Owen in town.
    3) Most likely you answered your own question. Creating magic from magic. It’s hokey, but it’s not like we didn’t see Regina make a forgetting potion in 309’s flashback and the Dragon using magic outside Storybrooke itself. Though I imagine you have issues with those examples, too.

But she’s not from FTL. She’s from Arendelle (okay, I get what you’re saying…we don’t have a map so it’s hard to know where the boundaries are…but that’s rather fast and loose?)

I’d say Arendelle is still in the same realm (FTL), because you only needed to travel by boat, not by portal. It’s the Enchanted Forest/Mist Haven that is the separate part of the world where most of the FTL characters are, but it’s the same realm.
