ModeratorBoy was this an intense episode, but it’s what I’d expect from the penultimate episode of the first half of the Season. The dream sequence Skye had was pretty creepy. I had a vibe that the baby Skye was seeing was herself. Those Koenings stole the scenes they were in with that umbrella, saying the other was “the shorter one”, and how they were asked how many of them there were. I liked that the Koenigs also called Ward out on killing their brother. The Fitzsimmons stuff continues to be a rough ride, but I sure hope they can overcome their struggles. Man, Ward, just what are your true intentions? He continues to be a tough one to figure out. It was nice that the show finally confirmed that the blue alien was a Kree, which was what fans theorized way back when “T.A.H.I.T.I.”aired.
Speaking of theories, does anyone think theories based on Marvel comic source material should be spoiler tagged? While they’re technically still theories not based on spoilers directly from the show, I could understand if there’s anyone who feels that even stating stuff from the comics is too much for them. I’ll spoil tag this theory for now: there’s another popular theory that Skye and Raina are Inhumans, and that the city is Attilan, home of the Inhumans. In short, the Inhumans resulted from DNA experiments on humans by the Krees, and they eventually moved on and created a society of their own. More info can be found here and here. I personally think this theory looks very likely.

ModeratorOh I agree we’re getting a full S5, but you gotta admit some of these plot lines “feel” end of series (operation mongoose)
Oh I agree that Operation Mongoose does give that impression, though I still doubt this is being built up as the final Season. However, the curse breaking felt like something that wouldn’t happen til way later, and yet it happened as early as the Season 1 finale, so at the same time we never know with these writers. I also do understand the concern that this is the type of show that shouldn’t last that much longer, though. More and more essential plot lines are coming to their limits, and let’s face it they’re running out of Disney properties that would fit the show. The show could surprise us by drawing from more stories Disney hasn’t touched, but at this point I have my doubts we’ll see that much more of those. Plus some of the main actors might want to pursue other work once their contracts are up. So in short I still agree that Season 5 sounds more likely as the series endgame.

ModeratorThat’s the problem you run with fantasy. After a certain point, you’ve used all the tricks of the trade such as memory losses, witch fights, and even walking brooms. I think this show probably needs to come to a close at the end of S4. I think once the author of the book is revealed (assuming there is one) and the sorcerer’s identity confirmed, then that would be the appropriate end point for the show.
Don’t get your hopes up. Once is still doing well enough for ABC, and remains as one of their top rated shows.
Judging from that performance, I’d say we’ll at least see a Season 5 before the show comes to a close.

ModeratorJust realized: no flashbacks. Are we done with them for this arc? Is there anything left to tell?
No, we’re getting flashbacks of Young Emma during her time with Ingrid according to the credits. I think they just neglected to mention it in the synopsis.

ModeratorAriel saving Blackbeard is plausible since she needed his information to find out where Eric was and he would’ve owed her for saving his life.
See this is where I actually find that it works.

ModeratorThanksgiving is always rough on shows.
If it weren’t for the American Music Awards, last night would have made more sense for a week off.

ModeratorOnce scored a 2.0 demo last night. This is down, but it was still the highest scripted show of the night. I at least expect an increase to a 2.1:

ModeratorOMG THIS! If they already had the wishing star (an item they retrieved on a voyage to the foreign land, so yeah, they shoulda known what it was) why did they even need to go on the voyage that got them killed? Just make a wish that Elsa wasn’t magical, or that her magic wouldn’t hurt anyone. Problem solved.
Like Blackbeard said, their parents weren’t pure of heart, so they couldn’t use it. Possibly because of what Gerda did to Ingrid and her intents on removing Elsa’s powers. Perhaps her fear of Ingrid and Elsa’s powers are what made her heart not pure.
