ParticipantPeter and the Wolf, Op. 67, is a composition written by Sergei Prokofiev in 1936 in the USSR. It is a children’s story (with both music and text by Prokofiev), spoken by a narrator accompanied by the orchestra.
The Disney short cartoon was in 1946. He had a talking bird, duck and a cat. 😆
I thought it was a brilliant twist to include ‘Peter’ as Red’s love in Fairytale land.

I think that since the title is called Apple Red as Blood that this is the episode where the Queen, as an old woman, gives the poisoned apple to Snow and she goes into the cursed sleep.
I think this is highly probable. I thought when the title for “The Fruit of the Poisonous Tree” was released, that episode was going to be about the poisoned apple but it really wasn’t.

I like your idea that Season 2 could be about the year or so between the marriage and Emma being born, but they may still go far into the past as well. There still seems to be a lot of in between story to tell, but i am not sure how much of it that we will see.
I like that idea.

Anastasia Griffith is listed in the credits of episode 18 as Kathryn/Abigail. Perhaps Kathryn's not dead after all. The heart must belong to someone else.
That is somewhat of a relief. But the writers did say the whole Kathryn storyline would be wrapped up this season.
I listened to Once and fan podcast this morning and I’m going to list who I hope the heart DOESN’T belong to:
Henry, Jr. — that would be just really creepy of Regina if she somehow had little Henry’s heart
David — I can’t think of how this would work. I think it would make more sense if David was missing his brain than his heart 😆
Snow — because the Evil Queen never got her heart.
ReginaI heard Colleen say it on the fan podcast and I think the heart belongs to Henry, Sr. It would make a lot of sense. But then what about MM’s fingerprints on the box? I think those are fake, planted there by the curse.

ParticipantI don’t think Ruby can transform into the wolf in Storybrooke but definitely, her heightened wolf senses have remained intact.

It would be majorly disturbing if Dr. Whale is Red’s great-great-grandfather and hitting on her outside and staring at her lecherously while on a date with Mary Margaret. Gross!
I agree. I don’t think Dr. Whale is Red’s grandfather.
Maybe he’s the wolf from the 3 little bigs. There are different wolves from different fairytales and they were referenced in this episode.

I think that it is very possible that Rumpel knows about Red. We know that Red told Snow about Rumpel so she knew something of him. It is also possible that Granny did a deal with Rumpel for the red cloak which stops Red from turning into a wolf.
I was thinking about who could have enchanted Red’s cloak and thought, well, the Evil Queen definitely is not going to care so maybe Rumple was the magician who enchanted the cloak. So, I’m thinking before that happened, Red changing into the wolf — the time that she would spend as the wolf — maybe instead of a few hours — it could have been longer, like weeks or months.

Ruby has those red streaks in her hair. I’m guessing that if she can turn into a wolf in Storybrooke those red streaks are the equivalent of her red hood in FTL. And the girl is always wearing red. She still has her wolf senses. By the way, I still think Dr. Whale is a wolf. I think he might be the wolf from the 3 Little Pigs. It actually makes more sense to me now that we know that Ruby is a wolf. If Dr. Whale is also a wolf it makes sense that he has been drooling all over Ruby – he is attracted to her since she is a female wolf!
Probably.

ParticipantI finally watched the episode last night and I’m not sure that I like the idea of David being a wolf, maybe it’s been we’ve already seen so many sides to his character. I do like the twist of making Red/Ruby the wolf from Little Red Riding Hood. I thought that was brilliant.

ParticipantGold was beating him pretty badly, he might have thought, “What is he talking about?!” and never really given the chance to ask questions.

ParticipantTrue 😆
But we do have some celebrities who warrant single names: Madonna, Cher….
but they also real have last names too 😆

I guess we will find out here in a little while but since the episode has a little girl playing the part of Snow in it, I wonder if perhaps Snow as a little girl unintentially revealed that the EQ had a relationship with the Stable Boy. Like maybe she didn’t even understand what was going on but maybe said something about seeing her with the Stable Boy or mentioned that she spends a lot of time in the stables or something. Something that an innocent child wouldn’t even recognize as revealing a secret because she would be too young to recognize that it was a secret, or didn’t understand that she said something that revealed the secret because she was too young to understand something. That would explain why Snow kind of matter-of-factly answered “yes” when James (or was it the Huntsman??) asked her if she really did ruin the queen’s life. So technically she DID ruin the queen’s life if she was the one who brought attention to the fact that EQ was in love with the Stable Boy if that led to his death. But if she was only a child and didn’t do it intentionally, that makes for an interesting twist. If it happened when she was a child she must not have known about it until later because after EQ killed Snow’s father Snow seemed to trust the EQ and the EQ was pretending to love Snow.
We all know the Evil Queen is all bravado. I suspect that’s probably the case.
