December 12, 2014 at 4:30 am in reply to: TVGuide: Lana Parrilla 12/11/14 Interview: Robin Hood, Maleficent, & Lost Pages #292925onceaholicParticipant
This interview took place early on on 4B. Actors sometimes make speculations without being clear that they are speculations, and they don’t always know what is going to happen with their character until the next script. LP could simply be assuming that the someone has been taking pages out and replacing them based on 4a.
So how do you think Mal and EQ became friends? Perhaps when Tink went AWOL (due to having her wings removed and ending up in NL), Mal replaced her to become Regina’s fairy godmother? Mal is supposed to be the dark/black fairy out of the 12 (or 13) in the original tale, after all. Well, she was a fairy rather than a witch at the very least.

December 7, 2014 at 11:14 pm in reply to: FAVORITE AND LEAST FAVORITE MOMENTS from this episode 4X10 SHATTERED SIGHT ? #292386onceaholicParticipantUntil now I have hated this season, but I loved this episode.
LOVED
-The part when SQ sacrificed herself had me in tears.
-Lana Parrilla’s Evil Queen. So creepy but oh so funny.
-Everyone in the station laughing about the situation they found themselves in.
-The hint that Cruella De Vil is coming up via Emma catching the dog in the machine.
-No Robin in sight for the reunion scene.
HATED
-They did not clarify that the wishing star only has one wish, or one wish per person with a pure heart. I think we are just meant to assume it.
-Not enough of Rumple’s plan.
-We didn’t get to see the Evil Queen lick the sword. (Perhaps it was a bit too much for younger audiences).
FUNNY MOMENTS
-Snow and Regina’s sword fight looked more aggressive and convincing than anything Charming has ever done.
-One of the dwarves catching the snow with his tongue at the end.
-All of the Evil Queen.
Ingrid is now dead, taking the effects of her magic with her so I expect to see Marian, unfrozen alive and well in ep 11.

onceaholicParticipantOkay, everyone going on about the book having a author. And maybe it does, in fact I think it at least has a creator, but here’s a question I’m sure someone’s theorized but I’ll put it here just in case. What if it doesn’t (or at least not in the traditional sense), what if the Book is sort of like a all seeing all knowing chronology of all possibilities, outcomes, and events. Every direction that a person can take throughout ALL OF TIME AND SPACE is written down and put into the book. So maybe the Book doesn’t have a actual ‘Author” instead it just chronicles what has been, and what could have been, and will be and what can be. There have been things like this done. Especially in Doctor Who were they’re are ancient Timey Wimey artifacts that are able to see every single outcome and possibility.
Yes, I have always thought this. My idea was that the Sorcerer created the book to record on its pages what happens as it happens. The book is bewitched to do this, and the book writes itself. The book has a creator, but not an author.

onceaholicParticipantThe Spell of Shattered Sight isn’t a curse. It’s a spell.
However, I get the point that there have been too many curse and curse-like spells for the climax/main problem. There needs to be other types of battles that our heroes need to face.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what would do as the ”main problem” for a plot arc instead?

-Regina telling Robin that he should be scared of her. It was heart breaking and spine-chilling.
-Regina and Henry
-Regina telling Snow that it was time for her to make hard decisions. Good bit of advice from step mum to step daughter.
-Snow handing over baby Neal to Emma.
-GG’s acting when showing Snow falling into hatred and disgust. Her eyes were amazing.
-The magic glass effect as it was coming down from the sky. Wow.
LEAST FAVOURITE
-Regina not attempting to poof at least some of the townpeople over the wall ( we have seen that she can take passengers when she poofs).
-Elsa not trying to take the ice wall down now that she has more control over her powers (she gained more control when she conquered her fears)
-No one properly trying to take down the ice wall much earlier. Seriously, if I knew I was trapped in a small town with a cray cray Snow Queen, I would try to take that wall down, in addition to try to defeat the SQ, even if means that I fail.
-No explanation as to why the Snow Queen’s freezing spell on Arendelle and its inhabitants had a very specific time limit of 30 years (it broke 2 years after Emma broke the first dark curse so it is not related to that).
-No explanation as to why the freezing spell did not reach Anna, Kristoff’s or anyone else’s hearts, whereas it could have done for Marian. Perhaps it’s because FTL magic works differently here, but we have not been told why either way so far.
-No explanation as to why the SQ did not shatter Anna and Kristoff to make sure they were dead (she froze them in 8a/b but I expected an explanation by now).
-Blue Fairy gets involved in defeating the SQ and her spell NOW. Seriously?
QUESTION
Did we learn if the Wishing Star has more than wish or just one? Could Elsa have wished the Shattered Sight Spell way, wished the wall down, or wished everyone out of Storybrooke?
I am thinking that the SPELL can be broken by showing regret remorse, concern for the person that you are angry at. ANNA showed remorse about putting her sister in the urn while under the spell.. she started crying therefore washing the mirror shards from her eyes. ( In Anderson’s SNOW QUEEN, Gerda tears melted the boy’s icy heart thus breaking the spell.) I predict that CHARMING will be concern for SNOW while she is fighting with REGINA. WHAT will result in remorse / regret in Snow and Regina I do not know what that will bring it on… Maybe someone getting injured. ONCE they are cured then they can spread the cure to others in STORYBROOKE. . .
Great theory. I had the same idea in mind, too. It could be remorse from anyone who was originally pure of heart. So this could be Elsa or Anna as well as Charming or Snow (though I think Snow is not pure of heart and that she was able to get through the door to Glinda due to being pregnant lol).

onceaholicParticipantHow many wishes does that Wishing Star have? Did they tell us?
Elsa didn’t even try to wish away the Shattered Sight spell.

Favorites
-Henry and Regina
-Snow telling Regina that her life is made by her choices, and the book tells the past, it control the character’s actions in the present.
-The alternative page of the book showing up
Hated
-Regina and Robin in the vault.
-Robin not looking for a solution for Marian in the library at the same time as looking for a solution to Regina’s problem. Yes, Regina had said there was no other solution except to fall back in love with Marian, but he still should have checked just in case there was something Regina hadn’t thought of.
-On the road, Emma not asking SQ why she was only able to project an image of herself rather than talk to her in person, or SQ telling Emma that Rumple had trapped her. It might not have made a difference but it was the natural thing to say/question to ask.
-SQ going into the urn being unable to control her magic and then being in total control the second she is out of it, knowing immediately where to find the sorcerer’s apprentice and so on.
-Snow, Charming, Regina etc going to look for Emma on foot while Emma is driving about in a car.
-Regina walked away from the Charmings on the road. It would have been quicker poof into the library and back out again.Keeper of Regina's bravery
onceaholicParticipantHi guys!
Onceaholic here! First post!
I had been lurking for quite a while, but I now have a login ID (yey me!).
It’s a shame that my first post is going to be a complaint.
I am a big Regina and Lana Parrilla fan, and I ship Regina with any form of happiness, as long as it is well-deserved and doesn’t involve anyone getting hurt lol.
However, I agree with much of what has been said already here. (If I am repeating what others have said, I apologise).
During 3B, though I thought Outlaw Queen was rushed, and although I did not interpret their ”banter” in FTL as sexual attraction, (especially the scene in Rumple’s castle), I was willing to suspend my disbelief and say ”okay then, these two will be together…I’ll take it.” But then they throw this whole Marian debacle right at the end and I was sent into a flurry of desperate theories to see how on earth (or in any realm) this situation could be resolved. After all, Regina almost executed Marian in the current timeline, and it would not be fair on Roland to have his potential new step-mother as the woman who planned on killing his birth mother at some point in the past. It just wouldn’t be right, no matter how much R and R love each other, or how much Pixie Dust says som or how much Regina has changed. The only way to get out of this was for the writers to make Regina a more attractive (read: moral) option than Marian. This could have been something like Marian not being as good as she seems, such as being in league with an even nastier villain, or being say, Morgana herself but using a spell to change her form. (Which meant ruining one of my favourite legendary characters, but I was willing to do it for the sake of Regina lol).
No matter how soap-operary my ideas where, I wanted to see something like this on screen, as I just knew we would get something like what we have on screen right now otherwise. I just knew the writers would epically screw things up. Robin and Regina have not discussed the implications of her almost killing Marian in the past, Robin declared his love for Regina right next to his wife’s frozen body and Robin has done nothing but whine and then bang Regina in the vault (eew) since. Not once has he sat in the Mayor’s office for an hour or two to be a comfort to Marian (who still could have some form of consciousness), the mother of his child (and where the heck IS Roland, btw?) nor did he bother to check the other books in the library for a solution.
And that line he said to Regina in ep 7 that went something like: “I have always been good, honest and true but today is not one of those days.” If I man said this to me, I would tell him to stick it elsewhere. Seriously,
-So you are giving up your moral code to be with me? No thanks
-So you are giving up your sense of self to be with me? No thanks.
-So you are not being honest and true right now? You just want a one night stand? No thanks.
Nonsensical one-liner aside, if he truly loves Regina, surely his love for her will last another a couple more weeks before they can decide once and for all whether Marian is beyond saving? If she is then fine, if she is not and she wakes up then he should tell Marian how he feels AND THEN act upon it with Regina. He could stick to his code by telling Marian the truth (the honorable thing to do), AND follow his heart. Perhaps the writers were trying to show that he was just following his heart, but instead all I got from this was a horny man taking advantage of a lonely, hated woman whose feelings were genuine and who was doing her best to stay away from him so that she could heal. And Regina, oh Regina, why did you give in?
The foundation of their relationship just isn’t sound, and so I cannot get behind this pairing at all. I am now hoping that Robin is just a distraction and that Regina’s real Happy Ending will be with someone else. In fact, the way their paring has been written I strongly suspect two things, if I were to give the writers the benefit of the doubt:
1) The writers never intended for their relationship to continue anyway OR
2) The actress is planning for a baby or could be in very early pregnancy (though she currently looks as flat as a pancake) so they threw in a scene of them making tacos.
So this…
About to drop my theory off here before I head to bed….I’ve got that WickedSisters type of vibe with this one, and I’m not as ecstatic with it….Considering Sean Maguire/Robin is off the Once set for a while due to filming another movie, I’ve got the feeling that while some of Storybrooke is returning to the EF, Regina will send Robin home with Marian and Roland back to the EF around 4×11. So congrats folks…you may not have to worry about OutlawQueen for much longer.
…could be right.
