It’s possible that the WOZ found a way to travel between our world and Oz more than once (i.e. has made many return trips). If so, then his aging might have been halted over the last few decades, since I think the curse froze all the lands with magic, if I’m not mistkaen.
True, that’s possible. Dunno if I’d like it though, because the basis for this show is the tragedy that Rumple’s only way to get to our world to find his son was to destroy a whole world. If it turns out he could have just gone to Oz and stolen the Wizard’s balloon, then that makes the lengths he went to for the Curse sort of ridiculous. He knew about the slippers, so by rights he should have also known about the balloon if that was possible.

I can give her a pass because she’s probably been pretty busy wrapping up filming Intelligence and doing promo stuff for it. Watching Once might have even been a distraction for her, when she had to remain focused on the new character she was playing, instead of getting nostalgic over SB.
Anyway, I’m just super excited to see her on the show again and hope we get some spoilers about her shooting in Vancouver really soon.
Still dunno if I’m sold on him being the Wizard, but his tweet to Adam does make me very curious. Definitely seems that we’ll be seeing him again in some capacity, and said capacity is gonna be “awesome”.
My main sticking point is his age, and my assumption that they’ll still have the Wizard leaving Oz around the same time Dorothy did. The only reason she used the slippers is because she missed the Wizard’s balloon. So if the Wizard had been back in our world for that length of time, he wouldn’t be Gorham’s age. My assumption about how and when and even if the Wizard left Oz might be way off though, and if so, then maybe Gorham could be the Wizard. As of right now, I’d say if he’s directly connected to the Wizard in any way, he might be the Wizard’s son?
OH, I just had an idea, but think I instantly debunked it in my own head before even typing it out. LOL With all but confirmation that Red will be back for the Oz arc, and Granny having gotten her cloak from a “wizard”…but Wizard of Oz didn’t have actual magic, and Red’s cloak was actual magic…so nevermind.
RG, I’m so sorry you’ve had to deal with shipping drama (yet again). As a general rule, I don’t read the CS thread, because the occasional times when I do peek at it, (if the forum’s slow and I’ve read everything else), I inevitably read something that sends my blood pressure sky rocketing. Can’t imagine how I’d cope if I had to read the other thread like you do. *spiking your hot chocolate with a little something to take the edge off*
A little sad today as Once’s promo dept continues to push Hook. Even specifically CS. It’s not even about Neal, and it’s not even about Swanfire. It’s that this show existed long before Hook was in it and yet they use him incessantly for promotion. It’s so old.
But even so, no quote for Neal’s love for Emma. No quote for Emma’s love for Neal. No other relationship promotion, not even of Snowing’s love. It’s just so old and disappointing. I really don’t understand what’s going on in there. 🙁I read a tumblr post from an SFer who said that they posted on the FB page to ask if we could get some promo for Neal instead of the constant Hook stuff, and her post actually ended up being deleted? If so, that’s really rather disgusting behaviour from what’s supposed to be a professional PR team.

Timeline. Trying to figure it out can do one’s head in sometimes. And can lead to neverending debates about curtains in Rumple’s castle being open or closed and if it was a production error or an intentional thing to show where in the storyline the scene was supposed to fit and sometimes it all just makes your head hurt too much! So we started calling it the t-word because actually acknowledging the “timeline” can be a bit scary and overwhelming and can make one want to curl up in the fetal position. 😛
This is a really fun idea, and finally they’re releasing some merch. Hopefully they’ll release ones for S2 and S3 as well.

It’s been a couple months since I’ve watched a Swanfire video, and it’s amazing to me how every time I see one it SHOCKS me how beautiful their story is. Every single time.
I know right. I’ve probably seen every SF clip arranged in every way possible with all the vids out there, but still, every freaking time I watch a new one, I’m overwhelmed all over again. Their story is so deep and layered, and I can’t wait to see the next chapter!
No idea if she’s even referring to the show…but here’s hoping…

Adam and Eddy keep saying that Sebastian is too busy, and sadly there are no signs of that changing soon.
His imdb page doesn’t list him as currently having anything going on: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1659221/?ref_=nv_sr_1 Honestly, I think that around the time they started being asked about him coming back, it was around the time he was still doing Captain America stuff, and he was also in a play in NYC for a while, and “he’s too busy” basically became their stock answer for any questions about when he’s coming back because they didn’t have any plans at the time to bring him back. I dunno what else he’s got going on right now, but it doesn’t seem that he’s actually been acting in anything for a little while. That could bode well for him coming back soon. Like I posted in another thread though, I can’t quite wrap my head around how WickedHatter would fit into the t-word.
I think that possibly the two characters who are previously connected to WW are Robin Hood & Regina. I think perhaps WW cursed Marian & that is why Robin stole the wand. I don’t know about Regina’s connection. I’m not sold on Wicked Sisters yet, but if Robin & Regina had a common enemy to fight. it could help with the romance!

that’s interesting. Linus was always the Wizard Figure in LOST, too. One of his first centrics is called “The Man Behind the Curtain.” He was always associated with OZ

The title for the episode “The Man Behind the Curtain” is a reference to the ruler of Emerald City (the titular Wizard) hiding behind a curtain (in the movie version), projecting a much greater image of himself unseen. Locke suspects Ben of orchestrating all of the Others’ plans by means of deception, saying to him: “You’re the man behind the curtain…the Wizard of Oz!”
when Jefferson breaks WWW’s heart turning her “wicked”.
-WWW is pregnant, but gives the baby up to Rumpelstilskin to give to Jefferson. She deemed herself too wicked to raise a child, especially since she has a bit of mommy issues.
That would feel ret-con-ish to me. When we saw Jefferson and Grace, I got the impression that her mother had been someone he’d been truly in love with and happily married to until something went wrong and he lost her and gave up his work as a result of his grief over it all.
