ParticipantSwan Fire Queen AU: in which Emma, Regina and Neal are co-parenting Henry and Neal and Emma are making a point of being a pain in Regina’s ass.

Can’t you just imagine something like this actually playing out? 😆
Seriously though, I’ve actually been thinking about this a bit lately, and if they end up staying in SB indefinitely, and if Regina stays on the path she’s currently on, I’d love to see Emma and Neal both move into her mansion. Henry could have all his parents in the one place, so he’s not torn between three different places. Snowing would be free to make tacos any time they want, and if they do have that baby in show, that apartment really will be too small for everyone. Everyone wins if the SwanFireQueen clan shacks up together.

Participant@Yellow_Bug: Yay road trip!!!
That was all awesome, but that last one made me literally LOL! 😆

ParticipantThis is probably my favorite SF gif set. I’m sorta tempted to stick it on our front page.
Doooooo eeeeeeeeet!!!

ParticipantI’ve been trying to catch up with all the wonderful pages of stuff from the last week, so I may have missed someone with the same theory, but I started to think this morning that maybe events in 3×12 may happen like this:
Yep, that’s what I’ve been thinking. He gets arrested when they’re in the park, and the hug happens on the steps outside the police station after he’s released, and Emma has seemingly drunk the potion in the blue bottle.
My Swanfire moment for 3.2 is bittersweet, but during this episode we realized that both Neal and Emma were both a lost boy and lost girl, both could hear the cries of the lost children. So that heartbreaking moment of Emma crying over the map showed me how Emma and Neal connected so well with each other and have the same motivations and goals. All they truly want is a home and family.
Aww I just want a swanfire-family group hug is that to much to asked. Just one.
So true! They fit together so perfectly.
A real man of honor does what Neal does by admitting his faults, seeking forgiveness and also forgiving his own father. Neal is now trying to offer hope to Henry and Emma by saying he will see them again. I’m keeping the faith that Emma will give Neal a second chance, because they love they have is the kind that endures even when it seems like all hope is gone.
Despite all they’ve been through over so many years apart, they’re still connected. And as they each grow as individuals, both of them finding new strength within themselves, it will mean that when they do finally get that second chance, they’re gonna be better than ever together.

Participantsidenote: I wonder if Neal will be able to see his family from the crystal ball to see how they are doing okay or will that be to painful for him. I wonder if that crystal ball even will come back to play, because Snow and Charming can use it to catch glimpse of Emma and Henry from time to time.
I’ve been wondering about that as well. I figured that if they were watching Emma and Henry in the crystal ball, that could explain how Hook knows where to find her. If we get a scene of Neal watching them in that thing, it’s gonna break my heart all over again.
My favorite moments were the moments of Emma really looking at Neal and seeing how she feels sympathetic or empathetic to what is happening to him, or even impressed by what he is doing. She spent years wondering why, then trying to turn her hurt into anger and resentment at him, based on a false idea of what sort of person he had to be to leave her. Once she knew his reason to leave was bound up in magic, destiny and fate, that neither of them ever stopped loving each other despite outwardly, genuinely feeling like they moved on, that what is between them is a real, complicated thing, it forced her to rethink what type of person she thought he is.
From the moment he claimed Henry, to her seeing his cave, telling Regina that Neal taught her things, seeing Neal forgiving his father, to reuniting with Wendy, his apologies and patience, seeing him lose his father, all of it created moments we saw Emma seeing in Neal the qualities that probably made her fall for him years ago. She was not put off by his careless cocky criminal side that much, but I think it was the brave, loyal, caring guy that touched her heart before, and it is his steady sincerity that will (if A&E write this thing to follow the breadcrumbs we discuss here) reach her again.
Perfect post is perfect!!!
Favorite SwanFire moment from 302?
Harder because Neal wasn’t in this episode, but I think it would Emma fighting the lost boys with Neal’s cutlass. Even when he’s not there…he’s there. The sword basically replaced the pendant.
He’s got her back. 🙂

ParticipantLove both those moments.
Also loved when she was given his old cutlass, because even though they’re separated in different worlds, she’s still got a symbol of him with her, always. And she’ll be using this one to protect herself as she finds their son.
Honourable mention to the moment when MAP asked him how he knew Emma and he didn’t know how to describe their relationship. It made me chuckle, because it was so real and fitting.

ParticipantBut why then, didn’t Charming pull up his shirt to see if it was really taking effect?
Because there was no physical sign of the injury once he’d had the water. Before he drank the water, you could see the effects of the poison in the veins in his face and all, but when he drank the water, it went away because it makes it appear as though the person has been completely healed. That’s why Liam had assumed he was completely healed. In the Diner scene, there was no longer a physical manifestation of the injury that they could have shown us healing, so instead they showed him just feeling like the magic potion was working on his insides.
I fully understand the why. I just think it’s creepy to be put in a situation where you have to drink anything concocted by Mr. Gold. Redeemed or not, he’s still a shady character in my book. I love the guy to pieces. But I would hate to have put my life, my fate in his hands.
It’s not beyond reasoning to think he might have added a little something to that elixir.Neal was their insurance. If Rumple gave Charming a dodgy potion, Neal would have been livid, and Rumple had only just made amends with Neal, (which he’s been wanting to do for a couple of centuries), so he wasn’t gonna jeopardise that, therefore, they could trust that the potion was legit.

ParticipantLove the manip, Lauren! 🙂
I was just thinking how for some reason CaptainSwan rubs me the wrong way. I almost feel bad for saying it- I have Oncer friends who ship them very much and play them up as this major romantic love story that I just don’t see. Yes, sometimes I can see their point, and I have to admit that Hook and Emma have chemistry. I didn’t care for Hook much at all last season, and this season he has grown on me a lot, but I still don’t want him with Emma.
It’s kinda funny, but I think they had more natural chemistry back when they first met, but in S3 it’s felt more forced and awkward. If you compare his couple of brief interactions with Tink, the difference in chemistry level is off the charts IMO.
Anyway, there are many reasons why CS doesn’t make sense for me, but a major one is that he left her to die in a cell and tried to prevent her from getting back to her son, and that happened, like, a month or so ago. Yes, he has since helped in saving the kid, but I’m just sayin’, if I’m Emma Swan, a woman with trust issues galore, I’m not gonna get romantically involved with the guy who only a month or so ago tried to kill me, and keep me from my son, and I’m certainly not gonna entertain the idea that said guy could end up as a step-dad to my son. It just doesn’t compute to me how that could be the basis for a positive relationship, beyond just the CS relationship, but also the family unit that Henry would be a part of, especially because they’ve had Emma say time and again that Henry is her first priority. So if they do wanna put them together, even temporarily, they’ve got one helluva job to write it in a way I could believe Emma going there, (even that other reasoning aside, they keep having her say that she loves Neal, so, yeah, basically, all things considered, I’d consider it really OOC for Emma to decide to be with Hook).
She knows she should have the necklace so where does she think it is??
Maybe she just thinks it’s hidden away in a trinket box somewhere? And after Hook mentions Neal again, and after she goes to his apartment, sees their dream catcher, she’ll go to find the swan pendant where she thinks she’s been keeping it, but it won’t be there, and she’ll get a bit frantic over having lost it.

ParticipantI actually thought this was one of the finer points in Once’s CGI. I had no problem with it. Even the real Ursula looked cool.
Agreed! As a general rule, their creatures tend to be much better CGI than the environmental stuff, which will often look like it’s right out of a video game.
