Over in the Unanswered Questions thread, there was some discussion about how the dagger killed Rumple if he didn’t technically have magic. I suggested that the cuff became inactive when Pan reverted to being Malcolm, and the dagger only had to pierce Rumple’s skin to take his powers, not necessarily stab his heart or anything. then I checked the official suammary and…
He holds him close as he plunges the dagger through his back. It goes through his body and into Rumple’s as well. Pan returns to his original form. Magic washes over father and son until both are gone. Rumplestiltskin saved them.
It doesn’t actually specify that it was a mortal wound to Rumple’s body. So now I’m wondering if he’s off somewhere, now powerless, and nursing a flesh wound?

I’m gonna guess that Pan lost his magic when he transformed into Malcolm, and then the cuff was no longer active, and all the dagger had to do was pierce Rumple’s skin in order for it to take away his powers. (It’s a bit of a fanwank, but it works.)
Which…actually…does that official summary say that it did actually go all the way into Rumple’s heart or not? Because if it was just a surface wound…that sorta increases his odds of having his body survive.

Doesn’t specify that the dagger damaged any vital organs inside Rumple.

I’m just about tear up thinking about them all siting around a camp fire sharing funny memories and endearing stories about Emma, Henry, and Rumple.
Snow sharing stories of what Henry was like in school, and Neal just sitting there, intently listening, because it’s the only way he’ll ever be able to get to know his son now. WAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!! 🙁
I would think the Jolly Roger would get transported back just like everything in Gold’s shop. These are things that. Belong in FTL.

Don’t know if this is the right place or time for this, but can someone PLEASE explain the Jolly Roger to me? O.o I thought the ship could fly by itself… But then we saw that it needed a flying feather thing… Which got burned… But then we saw them fly it back to SB with Neal… But then they needed a shadow to take them back to SB after the Neverland ordeal?
Don’t recall which ep it is off the top of my head, but Hook says that the JR needs a portal in order to travel between worlds. That’s why he used the bean to get to NL, (twice). Back in the day, it was only able to fly because Liam got the Pegasus sail. After that sail got burned, the ship couldn’t travel between worlds of its own accord any more, (but it was still the fastest ship in all the realms). That’s why they needed the Shadow, to create another magical sail so the ship could fly back to SB. Then Pan released the Shadow from the sail, so now it’s once again back to just being a fast ship that can’t travel between worlds of its own accord.
I wanna know what caused them to disappear. Zoso’s body didn’t disappear when he was stabbed. Typically when someone dies it’s only their soul that disappears, (and if we’re going with the Hades thing, which has potential considering all the other Greek mythology they’ve had this season, it’s the soul that goes to the Underworld, which is ruled by Hades), so why did both of their actual bodies go *POOF*?
There are some sort of shenanigans going on with someone, or something, somewhere.
I don’t believe Neal will be in NY why would he just because he is Henry’s father?
Because he lived there, (Emma will be in his apartment at some point during the ep, because there’s a shot in the promo of her seeing the dream catcher that hangs in his window).
I’m not convinced he’s gonna be there though, at the moment I’m wondering if he might be the one on the gurney in the hospital, (Hook says Emma’s family is in trouble, Dr Whale refers to a “he” on the gurney, and Charming is visible in the shot, so if the hospital scene is connected to Hook’s message to Emma, there’s decent odds it could be Neal in trouble, who is Emma’s family through Henry), and I’m thinking they all get back to SB first, and Hook leaves from there, to go to NYC.
He’s wearing the red vest in the FTL stuff, but not in the NYC stuff. There would be no point in him having that costume change if he was just travelling from FTL to NYC, but if the red vest differentiates FTL-Hook from SB-Hook, (so they don’t get confused if both are shown within the one ep), that would make sense why he’s wearing it at all.
Also, we don’t know that he’s got the JR any more when they get back to FTL. If buildings and cars didn’t get transported, then his ship probably didn’t either, (also, we’ve seen him riding a horse, so it seems he’ll be confined to land). But if SB is reinstated, then he’ll have the ship to sail quickly to NYC, just like he did last time.
I thought of another reason the jump ahead is good for SF potentially. A lot of people felt Neal wanting to have another chance with Emma was off-putting to them because it was “five minutes” ago he was engaged and thinking he’d marry Tamara.

Yes! And he’s fricking Captain Hook, so really, they should be able to come up with something for him.
He was one note revenge in the past, but his Naval days suggested a man wanting to be honorable and important, looked up to in terms of making a mark on society–
This is what his redemption arc should be about, him finding a way to get back to that. Obviously he’ll never be that exact same person he was in his Navy days, just like Regina will never be that exact same person she was in her innocent days when she was with Daniel. But Regina’s still got that longing for love, and Hook’s still got that longing for honour, and the impending OutlawQueen stuff means that Regina’s gonna be able to love again, so perhaps there’s hope for Hook to be an honourable man and a productive contributer to society again, too.
I think Hook’s character may be starting to come to an end. The only three story plot points Hook had going for him were Revenge on Rumple, Neverland and CaptainSwan. Neverland and Revenge on Rumple are done now, and I doubt the CaptainSwanFire triangle will carry on beyond season 3. so When the triangle is resolved and Emma ends up with Neal, it’ll be bye-bye Hook.
Colin’s a big draw card though, he’s the fave cast member of many a viewer. The only way I could see them killing him off is if they got the go ahead to do another spinoff, this time about NL, and show all the stuff that went down during his years there.
No idea, really.
Hook telling Emma about the Curse and getting her to believe is like August doing the same thing.
Hook telling Emma she needs to do a thing to help her family is like August telling Neal the same thing.
Emma’s gonna see the dream catcher, and also potentially drink a memory potion, but basically, she’ll get her memories back and due to the dream catcher being a focal point, she’ll remember stuff about Neal, including the new stuff she’s learned about why he left her.
Neal might want to be the one who goes to her in NYC, but for whatever reason he’s prevented from doing so.
Somewhere in the midst of all that, maybe there’d be a fitting spot for a flashback showing more of August’s role in their breakup.
Hm. Well, they let us know Giancarlo was returning maybe 1 month before he actually filmed for 302. So I am assuming that whatever Eion is filming it will be in late January.
True. But Giancarlo’s a bigger name with a busier schedule, so maybe his return was booked in a bit earlier than they usually are? It just seems like sometimes we get really quick turnarounds between casting calls, casting announcements, and the people actually shooting, so it seems like actors maybe don’t typically get a whole bunch of notice of their schedules?
Hook is filling a similar role to August, being the bearer of Curse news to Emma and trying to get her to believe, so an August flashback could potentially fit into 312.
