    Good theory, tabsicle.

Don’t remember what thread it was in, but yesterday I posted somewhere about how perhaps they could use the crystal ball in Rumple’s castle to find out where Emma ended up. Surely that thing will come back into play.

Perhaps WWW gets the crystal ball back, (assuming it was hers in the first place, but we know that Jefferson brought it back from Oz) and rigs it as a torture device of some sort for Regina, where she’s forced to watch Henry living without her, and making Regina watch that happen from such close proximity as SB would be an even sweeter punishment, so WWW takes them all back there.

Maybe we could even expand this idea and have it play into WWW’s past. Perhaps she used to use that crystal ball to watch her own family, which I’m guessing is probably Regina’s family, back in FTL, living their lives without her, while she was stuck in Oz. So now she’s turning the tables on Regina.

I think it’s a really solid theory that Neal is on the gurney. Have seen it suggested elsewhere that perhaps he gets injured in the process of them coming back to SB, but I prefer your idea, tabsicle, that he tries to get out of town to go to Emma and Henry and something bad happens.

I’d like it if Neal is the one who tells Hook to go and find her, because it could mean we’re gonna get some CaptainFire friendship progress. And considering Emma ends up in Neal’s apartment with the dreamcatcher, he’s gotta get that address somehow. Guess they could gloss over that and just have him know it because he’s been there before, but it’d be more believable if Neal told him the actual address.

On the other hand, if they wanna go for maximum angst, they could have Neal injured so badly that he’s actually unconscious.

Maybe it’s not just the one person on the gurney who ends up in hospital, maybe members of Emma’s family start dropping like flies for some reason, and that’s why Hook tells her they’re in trouble.

Getting back to Regina for a minute, if Emma and Henry do end up back in SB, would Regina still have to stay away from him? Would there be some magical barrier thing, like the town line, where if you got too close, bad things happen? A situation like that could explain Regina seemingly being angry and throwing stuff in that scene with Emma in her office.

Actually come to think of it, it’s probably just that they haven’t added the CG yet.

Agreed, I reckon when we actually see the ep, there’ll be a cricket and two fairies hovering between Belle and Granny.

Wouldn’t make sense to send the fairies off somewhere else initially IMO, because then they’d have to show a whole other location in order to show where they are. But if they stick them in this shot, they can have Blue tell the others that she and Tink have to go gather up the rest of the fairies and survey the lay of the land to check on everyone/thing, and off they’ll fly.

Alright, then Rumple almost chops off his hand in order to be magical again, but realizes that THIS would be the coward’s way out, so he goes outside to summon his shadow knowing full well that this is going to be his death.

Yep, that was my reading of it. He’d have had to cut off the same hand as the one he took from Hook, too, so he probably got a bit flash-backy inside his head, then decided, “No, I’m gonna do things differently this time,” then he went to meet his fate and give his life without his magic, because it was the brave thing to do.

Ah, The 10th Doctor and Rumple. Now there’s trouble if ever there were! Be still my beating heart! <3 :)[/quote]
I would be overjoyed if they were able to create a role for Tennant on this show, and have him banter with Rumple. It would be fabulous!

I think that's highly likely, which is why I'd kill to know if it was scripted or just improvised by Bobby, because I could believe it was an improvisation, but if it was actually in the script, then it's more likely that it means something. Maybe the fact that he showed compassion and love in that dying moment when he should have just been consumed by hate, transformed the nature of the magic in him, or something?

The bright light that shone out from the dagger suggests good power. Curiously, it was actually very similar to the flash of light when the Black Fairy’s wand was used. Dunno if there’s something in that or not.

Her baby blanket was in SB, and as far as we know, anything that was in SB is now gone, so unless the Curse relocated it, she can’t have it with her in NYC.

I saw a comment somewhere that maybe the Book will have survived and turn up again, and will be Henry’s talisman, though, and if the Book got away, maybe other things did too? We saw nothing to indicated that that’s how it worked though. I think only the things they had with/on them as they drove away, would they still have in NYC.

That tumblr essay about Hook makes some great points. Previous versions of Hook didn’t have any particularly special place in my heart before seeing the OUAT version, and Captain Jack Sparrow did have a special place in my heart, so the deviations from the literary Hook probably don’t bug me as much as I know they bug many people. What’s bugging me about Hook right now is that there’s so much potential for other things they could be doing with him that would be far more compelling, instead of having reduced him to a guy who pines for Emma.

Imma send Hook a copy of He’s Just Not That Into You for Christmas, (the book, not the movie, because I don’t want him getting distracted when he sees Snow White), and hope he gets the hint and gets over himself and moves onto something bigger and better in the new year.

Someone was saying that Neal is actually a villain. No word of lie, a VILLAIN! People were supporting that and bashing the character like crazy! I had to jump in and post using canon to counter what they were saying (yep, they were even making up scenes that hadn’t occurred on the show) and then they went crazy over my suggesting that they were wrong because their arguments countered canon (confirmed tweets/interviews/podcast/script). Yep, even canon is wrong over there because they say Adam & Eddy lie. LOL! Someone from this site (not going to say who) even went at it and tore Neal to shreds and refused to acknowledge official podcasts, where K&H discuss Neal in great depth.

Yep, sadly I’ve seen it often out there in the wilds of fandom. Canon facts ignored, actual dialogue from the show only taken as half statements because it suits their argument better, (eg: Emma just wished Neal was dead, she never said anything about how she still loves him and probably always will). Some people have a seriously warped view of Neal, and they use that warped view to justify why Emma can’t be with him, so if/when Emma does get back with him, those people will cry foul, even though it’s something they’ve been laying groundwork for, and building the characters up to for ages. It infuriates me to no end when people deliberately misinterpret stuff to do with Neal, in an attempt to vilify him, (the guy is a victim FFS, has been for much of his long life, has suffered so much, and hasn’t turned to evil because of it, instead he’s hanging in there with his incredibly damaged but still full of strength heart, HE IS NOT A VILLAIN), been times when it’s made me so mad I actually start shaking, but I try to tell my self that really, it’s the haters’ loss, because they’re not properly appreciating the show that’s being presented.

Erm. No? I can assure you that WL, while being allowed to play out its 13 episodes, did not do “relatively well”

LOL Guess he couldn’t really say, “Spinoff isn’t likely considering their first attempt at a spinoff is totes tanking in the ratings.”

It is rather random for them to have used that to answer the question. I’d think that if they have more NL story they plan to tell, they’d just tell it on the main show in flashbacks in future eps.

But between her dress and their attitudes toward each other, it just felt off.

I’ll have to go back and re-watch the Skin Deep and Lacey stuff to be able to judge better, but just re-watching the Going Home scene, I think it would fit if this was after their conversation in Skin Deep, (but before the end of Skin Deep).

In Skin Deep he said, “There was a son. I lost him –” and in Going Home he said, “He’s not dead, he’s just lost,” as in, “Don’t you remember what I said the last time we spoke about this? I never said he was dead, I said I lost him.”

In Skin Deep we learned that Belle had seen the child’s clothing, and in Going Home she had a moment of recognition when she saw the clothing on the table.

I think that considering they had had that previous conversation about him having had a son, that’s why Belle felt OK to ask some more about him in this scene. But because it was an especially sad moment for Rumple, he just wasn’t interested in speaking to her about it right then, and was initially just annoyed at her being there, messing up something he’s done as a ritual, every year for over 100 years.

It’s possible Belle got the flowers from the dark castle garden, Belle may not have been allowed to leave the grounds but I don’t think Rumple would’ve confined her to the castle forever.

Agreed. I don’t think the flowers mess up the t-word.

They need to pay more attention to their CGI for the interior of Rumple’s castle, because first the glitch with the curtains, and now what appears to be the library, with all the books, but the rest of the room is wrong because his table of magic-y junk and his wheel shouldn’t be there, and her little lounge should be. So maybe it isn’t actually the library he gave her, just another room that looks similar? Why would he do Bae’s birthday memorial in a room he expected her to go into?

I know we’ve had VisionBelle already this season, but it would seem odd to me to have this be VisionBelle as well, without actually revealing it. If she were a VisionBelle, I’d expect her to have faded away when he got upset and wanted to be alone and he shut her out of his mind.

BTW-The random tools on the internet who are finding more sympathy and feeling sorry for Hook right now and not feeling bad for Neal, you know…the guy who literally lost his father, his son, and the woman he loves more than anything within a span of about twenty minutes, need a SERIOUS reality check. I can’t even comprehend that mindset and I want to reach through the computer and strangle some of them. ARGH!!! 🙁 (Seriously, why do we not have a sobbing smiley here??!)

WORD! Even if you don’t love Neal as a character, if you don’t think he’s got plenty to be devastated about right now, you’re being sort of heartless.

Testing the crying emoticon that should be available: 😥
ETA: OK it didn’t work. But it’s not really sufficient anyway, because it’s just a calm little weep, and really we need something like this…

EATA that OK, it DID work, but it didn’t show up the first time I submitted my post. *kicking it* Anyway, just type “: cry :” without the spaces.
