Her whole look is so cool! Can’t wait to see her in action!
I’d be surprised if they were able to name her Elphaba. Theodora (her name in the Disney owned Oz the Great & Powerful) is more likely.

I had noticed that she was still wearing Graham’s shoelace! Another little hint to show that if someone had something physically with them when the Curse hit, they kept it with them. And my headcanon has been that Neal’s had that swan pendant on him 24/7 since he picked it up in the bar.
Even when cursed, Emma makes similar decisions as Neal. And then we have the song that played in “Broken” playing at the end of “Going Home.” I think this shows just how similar Neal and Emma. Two halves of a hole. Soulmates. True love. Going home. To each other.
They could have had her living anywhere. Back in Boston in her old apartment there would have made the most sense. But nope, they had her living in NYC, same as Neal. They’re so completely meant to be, like you say, two halves of the whole.
Is it March yet? How about now? NOW?! I have a MIGHTY NEED to see CursedEmma walk into Neal’s apartment and see their dreamcatcher!
Well obviously he’s not dead and I have a few reason that could back me up.
1. He’s a main character
2. They didn’t show the body
3. He disappeared in a magical puff of light.
4. The explicitly gave us a loophole for his resurrection when Regina said that when Storybrooke disappears it would be as if nothing has happened.
5. Rumple brings in the ratings his biggest alley right now are the studio execs who want to make a load of money.
Yep, and your 4th point is especially interesting. There’ll be a way around it. Rumple will be back!
No idea what the deal is with Emma sitting behind the desk. I’d have to look up screencaps to check if the other stuff on the desk is matchy, but there’s still a bowl of red apples, which would seem a bit unnecessary if it’s Emma’s office now. So I dunno.
In Manhattan, she’s wearing a black coat.
In the new shot, she’s wearing a red coat.
Yeah, it’s really blurry, but I do think that’s a red patch of sleeve in the background of the promo shot. In Manhattan only her scarf is red, her coat is black.
Rumple: “I use the curse to find you Bae. To tell you I made a mistake. To make sure you had a chance at happiness. And that happiness is possible, just not with me. I love you Bae.”
That small hopeful line that Rumple says to Neal is “happiness is possible” which going by what we’ve seen Neal’s mission was in the beginning was reunited with Emma and Henry and going by Neal’s promo poster at “second chances” is with Emma. I find that it’s Rumple subtle telling his son to go for his happiness. I want to believe it’s some foreshadowing of the future. There’s a lot of messages of “hope” in this episode.

Friendly reminder that with that scene in the promo we’re still gonna get SF moments, even though they’re in separate worlds, and Emma’s had part of her memory wiped. Just like we still had SF moments when they were in different worlds at the start of the season, and she believed he was dead. Nothing can sever the connection these two have. This ship sails itself.
Hmm, if another curse is cast, and they are sent back to Storybrooke how do they keep their memories intact? Also, would whoever sends them back to Storybrooke need to use the heart of the person they love most?
I think the WWW sends them back to SB, memories intact.
So the curse that Belle is asking about is another curse that the WWW uses to send them all back to SB, but they don’t know how they got back there? I could buy that. Would explain how Robin gets to SB for the hospital scene if yet another curse takes everyone out of FTL.
You guys! Emma finds Neal’s dreamcatcher again in 3×12! It’s a new footage. Compare it to when Emma found it in 2×14. It’s different; it’s new, and Emma is going to find Neal’s apartment again in NYC! From Tumblr
Emma finds the dreamcatcher again in the promo for “New York City Serenade”
I confess that I’d just assumed it was re-used shot from Manhattan, but yep, looking at the side by side, it’s actually a new scene. The lighting/shadows are different, and in Manhattan she reached out to unhook it as she walked up to it, but in the promo she seems to be just standing and looking up at it. Reckon Hook’s gonna take her to Neal’s apartment in an attempt to prove to her that he’s not a raving lunatic.
I want to say the dreamcatcher scene is different but it looks the same to me. I have to pull out my DVD and rewatch the episode.
Nope it legit looks different. In Manhattan, her hand comes right up in the middle of the dreamcatcher as she’s walking up to it, and she unhooks it to hold it. In the promo, she just looks to be standing and looking at it as it hangs there. Lighting is different too, she has a shadow over the top part of her face in Manhattan, but not in the promo. And it’s totally blurry, but I think it looks like her red coat in the promo? In Manhattan, she had a red scarf, but a black coat.
If Hook needs to have something in the real world to prove to Emma that he knows stuff, then taking her to Neal’s apartment, so she can see that dreamcatcher, would make sense.
CS is playing out first, which tells me that SF is pretty much going to come last. Emma is cursed and Hook’s kiss didn’t awaken her. I think Neal’s kiss will awaken Emma. I have faith that Emma, Henry and Neal are end-game.
I’m hesistant about kiss cause his IS a big parallel to Dark Heart Snowing and pre-Lacey Belle. I’ll grant the CSers that (if you’re reading this…and I know you are). But I think the talisman is going to bring her back because I doubt Emma stays cursed for very long but a TLK from either guy is too sudden.
Both of those situations had mutual love there beforehand though, so I don’t think it’s exactly the same. When Hook told Emma he’d think about her constantly, all she said in response was, “Good.” This is how that scene played out…

Emma walked over to Neal…
Emma apologised to Neal because she’s sympathising with how he has to go back to FTL…
Emma moved in to hug Neal…
They had an EPIC HUG…
Emma walked away, not looking at anyone, and walked towards the line & the Bug…
Hook walked all the way over to her and turned her around…
Hook said he’ll think about her every day…
Emma half smiled and said “Good”…
Hook walked off, and Regina walked up to Emma.If there was meant to be mutual love there for CS, they should have had Emma respond that she’d think of him too, not just, “Good.” They should have had Emma move in to hug him like she didn’t want to say goodbye, but there was none of that. It was the ideal opportunity if they wanted to show Emma feeling something for Hook, and they didn’t. And like I said at the top of the post, the other instances where the TLK didn’t work, there had been mutual love there previously, and that love was able to be re-realised. So it’s not an exact parallel IMO.
ETA WOW that is actually a new scene?! Well that’s an interesting development for sure!
