Here’s a question. Wendy is clearly wearing Bae’s robe. Did Hook keep that too? The last time we saw it was aboard the JR in 222. And if he did, can we please have a scene of Hook or Neal giving it to Wendy and then a REAL CaptainFire talk?! (please for the love of everything)

THIS! Because seriously, that’s two possessions of his that Neal is now aware that Hook actually kept, so for the love of God can we pretty please see a moment between them that doesn’t have anything to do with Emma and is just about THEIR relationship. Please?

The fact that we haven’t gotten many photos yet of 313 might mean that they are indoors a lot for this one–maybe the SB set given Helga’s picture.

That dressing room pic of Keegan’s doesn’t seem to want the tweet to embed, but it was a pic of the Blue jellyfish costume, so it seems she’s gonna be in FTL flashbacks of some kind.

I think the way they handled SleepingWarrior was GREAT and heartbreaking but if that’s the *only* LGBT character or storyline they plan on introducing, then it feels like “we needed to have an LBGT storyline so we’ll do this cause we’re writing Mulan off anyway.” I’d rather have an LGBT storyline that is played out in front of me. It doesn’t have to be a long epic story like Snowing or Rumbelle, but more than just a five min scene at the end of an episode between two characters who won’t be around to develop it.

Agreed. And given that Jamie won’t be indefinitely available, I dunno that they’ll have the opportunity to explore a love story for her, even if they wanted to. So I hope they have another LGBT character. Someone who is at least a semi-regular character, who is integral to the main storyline so it won’t feel like they’re just there purely for the sake of filling the LGBT character obligation.

I think Archie would be a good candidate, because his character status is such that he could be believably included in a future main plot of the show, where he has a valuable role to contribute, and along the way, they could show him finding love. He’s one of those characters who the whole fandom loves, and so everyone would like to see him getting some romance in his life.

Would it be too cliche to make an Oz character, (ie: a “friend of Dorothy”), a gay man? Tin Man, Scarecrow, and the Cowardly Lion could all potentially need some guidance from someone like Archie, which could potentially lead to more.

I thought Pandora’s box was a fate worse than death! Rumple did not seem to be affected by it at all. He was even in the same pose. What happened to all the world’s evils?

Agreed. I thought it would affect him somehow. And while I loved the whole scene with him and Neal, I expected the box to have done SOMETHING to him, else what exactly was the point of having Pan in there?

I dunno, I reckon being trapped in a box for eternity would be a fate worse than death. Especially if the only one in there to keep you company was an infuriatingly cheery spirit of hope, assuming the Onciverse Pandora’s Box still has hope in there like the myth suggests.

Honestly, I think they just needed a character to react about Rumple being in the Box impacting Charming’s ability to live, to make sure the audience was kept up to speed as far as the height of the stakes are concerned, (we’ve had a mini hiatus, after all, so maybe the casual viewers needed a refresher).

I’m quite sure that Snow was plenty concerned about whether her grandson would live or die. And she’d just gotten used to the fact that they were all gonna get to go home after all, and then the rug got pulled out from her all over again. It’s only been a day or so since she’s processed, “My husband almost died and didn’t tell me, OMG I hate him, but I love him so much, and now if I want to stay with him I need to leave our daughter again, and also give up my dream of more kids with him because pregnancy is impossible in NL, but oh YAY we can all go home together after all thanks to Rumple, OH CRAP Rumple’s trapped in Pandora’s Box and Charming can’t leave NL after all?!” We can’t really judge time properly in NL, but it’s been two days at the absolute most since she found out that Charming had been poisoned, and that’s a whole lot to process in the space of two days, so I can cut her a break for being on edge and concerned that Rumple in the box had a negative impact on Charming’s (and in turn her own, and their daughter’s) situation.

    2) Regina offered her a chance to give up her rite to the thrown and live with her Sheppard Prince, happily ever after. But it was her fathers Kingdom and a least a part of her wanted her birth right, to hell with the peasants that would die in the coming war. I know, you all argue what Regina wouldn’t have honored that deal and that she would have been a tyrant. That may well be true, but Snow didn’t consider that when making her choice. She made her choice because Charming convinced her that she could defeat Regina with a fake sword and she wanted to be a Princess again.

I don’t think she just wanted to be a Princess again, I think she wanted to do what would serve her people the best in the long run, and being ruled over by Regina wasn’t it. Any leader throughout history who has declared any battle of any kind, bears the responsibility of the human cost of that battle, but sometimes fighting is necessary in order to defeat an evil and powerful opposition.

    3) She didn’t kill Regina. TWICE. Snow she is a mass murderer, standing in front of you and twice you let her go to ruin more lives. Why? WHY? Because… that’s not who she wanted to be. She couldn’t bare to be a person that would take another’s life (even justly) and in the process left the door open for Regina to cast the curse.

Regina wasn’t just any old mass murderer, she was a mass murderer who Snow met as a little girl, the day she saved her life, and who she then knew for years as her stepmother. Snow couldn’t stand to watch Regina in particular be executed because she had experienced Regina as a thoughtful, caring person who she felt a familial bond with, and she desperately hoped that that person was still in there somewhere, and maybe if she gave her one more chance, and one more chance, and one more chance, then maybe she’d come good again. It’s a desperate compassion that’s an integral part of Snow’s personality, but I wouldn’t call it selfish. If anything, I’d say that the more selfish choice would have been for Snow to have given up all hope for Regina long ago, let her die, and put her in the past and moved on. It hurts Snow to keep that desperate hope for Regina, but she just can’t give up wishing she’d come good some day.

First the whole part where he had no regrets over leaving his son.

I think he did, even if only briefly, and it was a long time ago, (there was definite intense emotion on his face right after he transformed, as he watched the Shadow carry Rumple away). That tree wasn’t fueled by regret when we saw Malcolm climb it, back then it grew pixie dust, which was positive magic, so I have to wonder if Pan spent enough time in his Thinking Tree, wallowing in his regret, that the tree ended up absorbing all that negative energy, which is why the pixie dust flowers died out and the tree now grows vines that strangle people with their own regrets instead. So whatever remorse Pan might have had has left him, and now he just has no conscience left at all.

I think he’s too far gone for them to give him a redemption arc. The way he’s used and abused his family members, abandoning his son, keeping his grandson prisoner in NL for years, locking his son up in Pandora’s Box, and then attempting to kill his great grandson, is unforgivable.

I do wonder though if we might get an, “I’m sorry, laddie,” when Pan transforms back into Malcolm, right before he dies in Rumple’s arms.

Yeah, I think the use of “procure” got everyone’s hopes up for some really sneaky, sinister sequence of events.

Raphael tweeted a link to this pic on his FB page. I’m guessing it’s from 312? The same day that Beverley took that pic of Keegan?

I definitely admit that I was disappointed with the simplicity of it all after all the fun theories about it, but I’m also just bugged by how they didn’t even really make it clear how it played out. Like I said in my previous post, it would have just taken one extra line from Mr Gold in that scene in his shop. I’m not saying we needed to see the whole process play out, I’m just saying that a bit more info to clarify the situation would have been appreciated, because the first time I watched it, the story felt disjointed and I was sitting there all tilted head with a confused expression all “WUT was that?” It was sloppy execution of the story they wanted to tell IMO, and it made the ep as a whole weaker for me.

I’ve seen a fair amount of comment about this ep where people are along the lines of, “Seriously, the guy wasn’t concerned that SB doesn’t even exist and just approved her anyway without even a home visit, that is so completely unrealistic.” So if the writers had it in their heads that Regina was supposed to be coming off as having been pre-approved years ago, then that point flew way over a lot of people’s heads. And that’s poor story telling.

So I totally just googled to see if there was a timeline of Greek myths.
    http://www.argyrou.eclipse.co.uk/Myths2.htm

1322 Pegasus the winged horse born from Medusas blood after she is slain by Perseus.

    1312 Midas reigns in Phrygia

Those dates are BC, so Midas didn’t come until after Medusa was dead. Only 10 years, but still, they’d be keeping things in the right order if Medusa died in Killian’s time, and Midas lived in Snowing’s time.
