ParticipantDang, I knew Stephen Lord was reminding me of someone! Easy to see now why Rumple could have believed that August was his son.

ParticipantIt could create some lovely drama if he gets taken in for questioning over Tamara, because that would inevitably lead to them charging him over the watches crime. So they’d be able to hold him in custody for the watches, while they keep digging around, trying to investigate Tamara’s disappearance and connect him to that as well. And no good can come from real world law enforcement trying to investigate the disappearance of a woman who went to visit her fiancee in a town full of magic and fairytale people, then jumped down a beanhole portal to NL and was killed by Pan’s minions. So they’d have to figure out a way to get Neal outta there, and protect SB from the nosy FBI.
Things could get interesting in season 3.2 if this is the direction they’re gonna go in.

ParticipantAnyway not sure which influences they’re bringing in to their show here, but I definitely think these 2 Spinners seem…Sneaky.
Yes indeed, their, “Here’s a bean, the bean is awesome, take the bean and run away to another realm, you know you wanna, the bean is the answer to all your problems,” was highly suspect, and reminded me a bit too much of Blue giving the bean to Bae.

ParticipantTumblr post with some thoughts on the 3 Fates theory…
Henry may or may not be a child born of True Love, but he is a child born of Fate.
This is just my theory, anyway (though I doubt I’m the only one who shares it). Last night’s episode just confirmed it for me, really.
IN last night’s episode, “Think Lovely Thoughts”, we got to see where Rumpelstiltskin learned of his talent for spinning thread. Now, I know the Fates normally consist of three sisters, but those two spinning ladies immediately tripped the connection in my mind. The way they worked with thread, the way they were so in tune with each other, the way they spoke as if they were a single person, the way they set in motion the events that led to Henry’s birth… well, like I said. Henry is a child of Fate.
If the spinning ladies are indeed two of the three Fates, I have a feeling they were Clotho and Lachesis, since Atropos deals with the end of life. What the two women set in motion was all about the creation of life (Henry’s) and making sure the destinies of those already living (Rumpel and Malcolm) played out the way they were intended.
(I kinda lost my train of thought here, because my stomach interrupted my musings, but ANYWAY…)
Another reason I think Henry is a child of Fate is because Pan somehow obtained a drawing depicting Henry’s exact likeness and had literally been looking for him for at least 300 years before he was even born.
My biggest question now, however, is what Henry’s destiny really is. If it was simply to bring an end to Pan, why set in motion the events that created Pan in the first place? The Fates aren’t supposed to be at the mercy of higher beings when it comes to weaving the lives and destinies of others (even other gods and goddesses were subject to them), so it was entirely within their power to assign a different fate to Malcolm and Rumpel. Nah, there’s gotta be something more to it. I hope.

The fact that they spin thread does make me like the 3 Fates theory.
Their number became fixed at three: Clotho (spinner), Lachesis (allotter) and Atropos (unturnable).
They controlled the metaphorical thread of life of every mortal from birth to death. They were independent, at the helm of necessity, directed fate, and watched that the fate assigned to every being by eternal laws might take its course without obstruction.

They were pretty pushy with Rumple and the bean, making sure he decided to take and use it.Clotho was responsible for spinning the thread of human life. She also made major decisions, such as when a person was born, thus in effect controlling people’s lives. This power enabled her not only to choose who was born, but also to decide when gods or mortals were to be saved or put to death. For example, when Pelops was killed and boiled by his father, it was Clotho who brought him back to life.

Normally seen clothed in white, Lachesis is the measurer of the thread woven by Clotho’s spindle, and in some texts, determines Destiny, or thread of life. Her Roman equivalent was Decima. Lachesis was the apportioner, deciding how much time for life was to be allowed for each person or being. She measured the thread of life with her rod. She is also said to choose a person’s destiny after a thread was measured.

Atropos or Aisa was the oldest of the Three Fates, and was known as the “inflexible” or “inevitable.” It was Atropos who chose the mechanism of death and ended the life of each mortal by cutting their thread with her “abhorred shears.”

The tumblr post suggested that the two ladies we saw were likely Clotho and Lachesis. I’m wondering though if perhaps they could both represent Clotho, who spun the thread of life. Reading the descriptions of the others, Lachesis deciding the length of life made me think of the Shadow and the hourglass, and Atropos being described as the oldest and inflexible made me think of Blue.

ParticipantWhy else would Emma and Henry be in NY? The only connection they have to NYC, that we know of, is Neal. Remember a little episode called “Manhattan”?
Yeah, considering there’s only one main character who has ties to NYC, I’d say it’s a pretty safe bet that if other characters are going to NYC, the character who actually has lived in NYC will be involved in some significant way. Something has to motivate them to go there, and Neal is their only connection to the place.

ParticipantTry not to worry too much. Just because the person who posted the photos referred to it as, “the whole CaptainSwan thing is out there now,” that doesn’t really confirm anything. People who go to watch filming see individual scenes being filmed, and usually aren’t even close enough to be able to hear dialogue. Those people don’t get to read full scripts to know dialogue and context, they’re just speculating as much as the rest of us. There will no doubt be gloating from the other side, but just try to keep in mind that nothing is actually confirmed unless and until we see it in the actual show. It does suck to see Hook being the 3rd person in the SF bug with Emma and Henry, but there could be an explanation that makes it suck less, like, as slurpeez suggested, maybe they’re actually going to look for Neal. Maybe by this time, Hook’s acknowledged having been a jerk and is now actually, genuinely wanting to help Neal, to try and make up for how he’s previously messed up his life. Anything could happen, so let’s just wait and see.

ParticipantBy stand in, do they mean it’s not really Jared? (and why?)
If it was a late night shoot, maybe they just couldn’t use Jared because it was outside his allowed work hours as a minor?

ParticipantSo a present day story of Neal getting arrested might parallel with the same people setting him up for Tamara’s murder as the ones who called the cops on Emma, and more information on what Neal knew/didn’t know back then.
This whole theory makes a lot of sense IMO. Just before, I posted in the 309 press release thread that the guy who’s gonna be playing the “adoption agent” could maybe be Tamara’s grandfather, who is also working for THO. If so, and if he’s still alive in present day, and if he hasn’t heard from Tamara for a week, and if THO is no longer in contact with him because Pan’s done with them now…I could see the grandfather having Neal arrested in association with Tamara’s disappearance.

ParticipantIt does seem that the new Curse probably allows them all to leave SB freely. Doesn’t sound like much of a “curse” though if that’s the case.
What is Jennifer Morrison wearing? Plaid paints and a black fishnet turtleneck? That is what I dub a fashion emergency. Did Emma lose her fashion sense or her memories as Emma?
She looks like stumbled out of the 90s. I expect she’s carrying a CD player with Pearl Jam’s “10″ on it. (no bashing of the PJ. They’re one of my top 5 fav bands)
The only acceptable excuse for that wardrobe choice is if there’s gonna be a SF theme to this ep, because she wore 90s plaid when they met in Tallahassee as well, so that could possibly explain the otherwise bizarre choice of present day clothing.
Speaking of clothing, I know that if there’s any city in the world where someone can walk around dressed like a pirate and not have people look at them funny it would be NYC, but this storyline would have been a perfect opportunity for them to change Hook’s wardrobe up a bit. Not that I don’t love his full on pirate look, (because Lord knows that I do), but seeing them tell him to dress down a bit to blend in with our world would have been a fun scene.
Okay, this maybe completely off the wall, but what if this is like an alternate reality or something. Like what if Emma never gave up Henry and its showing what could of happened instead or something like that? I know it’s too cracky…
Ever since Adam tweeted that “terrible things” would have happened if Neal had stayed with Emma, I’ve thought it’d be interesting to see an AU ep that showed what would have happened. Not sure how everyone wandering around NYC could play into that idea, but I would love to see that AU ep at some point.

ParticipantDear ABC Publicity: Their real names were revealed in the previous ep, so enough with the Glasses and Keychain already.
Julian Christopher, who is playing the “adoption agent”: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0160589/
Considering it’s looking pretty likely that John and Michael were involved with the adoption (YAY!), which means THO was involved with the adoption, I’m gonna guess that that “adoption agent” is Tamara’s grandfather.
