As large and passionate as the online fandom is, there are millions more viewers out there who are like your friends, just regular, casual viewers, who don’t pick the show apart and over analyse everything. I’m not surprised to hear that those kinds of viewers are on the SF train. This is the story of a fairytale princess who didn’t know she was a princess, and her love was torn apart by a curse. When you think of the story like that in its most basic form, the way that fairytales play out is that the princess ends up (re)united with her love. They’ve said that they’re not writing ships, they’re writing a story. Ships are a fandom thing, for a small portion of the viewership. The story is for the masses, which is mostly made up of people who just wanna see Emma get her happy ending.Emma approving Regina stealing the heart, very dark moment
I loved how Emma was holding Snow while Regina did the deed. Snow looked traumatised, and Emma was holding on for dear life and whispering, “I’m sorry.” It was painful, but it was great.
And then later when Snow was saying she’d been worried about Emma giving in to the darkness and Regina butted in all, “She didn’t, I did, that’s what I’m here for.” It was sad that Regina thinks that’s all she’s good for, but on the other hand, it’s nice that she was able to help them contact Henry.
When they were talking to Henry, Regina said, “We love you,” WE, that’s a big deal for Regina to be classifying herself with the others like that.
Peter Pan- I liked PP this episode especially his “one handed pirate with a drinking problem” comment and the fact that he has put Hook into a lose/lose situation.
He is diabolical. This is how I fell in love with Rumple, when he was screwing with everyone like a boss, and Pan’s taken it to another level.
When I read this I instantly thought of Captain Jack Sparrow carrying a big jar of dirt around.

Not sure. Maybe Pan needed some prophecy pawns nudged around now and then back in FTL? But then Hook would have had ample opportunity to take out Rumple, which never happened. Hmmmm.
Pan would have had to have something to hold over Hook in order to get him to work for him, (whatever and wherever the job was). Perhaps he threatened to kill Bae? But if Hook helped Pan, then Bae would get to live peacefully, away from the Lost Boys, in his cave?

Is there a reason why they couldn’t use pixie dust?
Maybe because traditionally, the JR flying due to pixie dust is such an iconic thing of how the ship left NL to take the Darlings home, and they didn’t want people’s brains going there while watching this very different story? If they eventually use pixie dust on it so they can fly home, then that will fit better with the traditional canon.
I love that Emma knew what it meant when Bae’s scratch marks on the wall stopped. She may not have known specifics of Neal’s past, there were things he just couldn’t tell her like, “My father abandoned me down a beanhole and I lived in a cave in NL for a couple centuries.” But she’s now learning that he knows the exact same pain she grew up with. He knows the longing for a family and home, and the sense of hopelessness that it will never happen. He really, truly gets that, and Emma’s learning that about him right now. So now if she thinks back to how he said in that bar in Manhattan that he was trying to get her home, she now knows why he did it, because he wanted her to have that dream of family come true, because he truly knew what it would mean to her. It’s not gonna erase the hurt of having been left, but it’s gonna give her a new understanding of why he did.

I would think that whatever Hook did for Pan, it had to involve travelling in and out of NL, because if there’s dirty work that needs doing within NL, Pan, Felix, and the Lost Boys have that covered.
We’re pretty sure now that the Darling boys have been popping over to our world to do Pan’s dirty work, so maybe Hook was employed in the same way?
Having Pan call him by his first name was a nice touch. No respect, Pan is totally establishing that he’s the one in charge.
