If Charming can’t forgive Neal for what he did to Emma, then that means Charming can’t forgive himself for letting his daughter go. It’s remarkable that some fans of the show give Neal such a hard time, and yet give David and Snow a free pass!

[adrotate group="5"]What gets me is when fans tweet the actors/writers with statements that claim that they know the characters better than the actor/writer creating the character. Debate your opinions within the fandom all you want, but don’t give grief to the people who create this show, based on nothing but your personal assumptions. Without those people, we wouldn’t even have a freaking show.

Nah it’s a fanmade thing that’s been floating around for a while. That’s not even JoAnna’s face, I don’t think.
Maybe Pan will taunt the truth out of them somehow? It seems like no one is gonna see the kiss, but perhaps Pan or one of his minions will.
Urgh, Josh felt the need to delete his original tweet about Charming liking Neal due to responses he got. I wanna rant, but I won’t, I’ll just say that some people have some seriously BAD FORM.
It seems that Josh got some backlash which caused him to delete one of his tweets, though he has now replied to one of the people who gave him grief, so I’m just gonna add his response to this thread, because he’s left the #AskJosh hashtag out, but it’s still related to the questions he was answering.

I would enjoy a story where Snow tells Emma how she had to break Charming’s heart, so they can draw some parallels (the all-mighty-stock in trade of shippers everywhere),
In addition to that situation where Snow left Charming, and where Snowing put Emma in the wardrobe, there’s also the fact that Snowing were prepared to be separated for the sake of the Curse.
Snow White: I don’t want to do this.
Prince Charming: It has to be you.
Snow White: I’m not leaving you.
Prince Charming: It’s the only way. You’ll go in there, and you’ll be safe from the curse.
Snow White: He said it would be on her twenty-eighth birthday.

They didn’t like it, but they knew they’d have to be separated for nigh on 3 decades, for the good of all.
Snow White: The wardrobe… It only takes one.
Prince Charming: Then our plan has failed. At least we’re together.
Snow White: No. You have to take her. Take the baby to the wardrobe.
Prince Charming: Are you out of your mind?
Snow White: No, it’s the only way. You have to save her.

Again, they didn’t like it, but they knew they had to do it for the good of all.
It really doesn’t surprise me that Charming, and also most likely Snow, would like Neal, because they’ve been in his exact position, and can empathise with him like WHOA.
but more importantly get into what “terrible things” could have happened if Neal stayed.
I would love an AU ep that shows what would have happened. Not only would it be fascinating, but like you say, if they want to convince a particular part of the audience that Emma would freely choose to go back to Neal, they need to illustrate better what did happen and what could have happened.
