Re-watched Skin Deep last night, and ya know how back on page one I copied and pasted that bit from tumblr about Regina’s differently coloured streak of hair in this ep and how people used it to place the ep on the T-word? It occurred to me that someone else has a differently coloured streak of hair on the side of her head too.

Regina with her hair streak (and big black dress) in the scene where she mentioned a mermaid:

Will Regina get a love interest?
    Horowitz: Yes.
Kitsis: Will she chose to love is another question.

Well considering Daniel told her to, I’m gonna guess yes. Eventually.

Will Ariel have a connection to our group?
    Horowitz: Yes.

I’m almost convinced enough of Regina being Ursula to actually put money on it.

Will there be a way to communicate between Neverland and Storybrooke?
    Horowitz: Ooo!

    That made me laugh. šŸ˜†

Will we see Wendy Darling (Freya Tingley) again?
    Kitsis: Perhaps.

I’ll be amazed if we don’t see Wendy again in some capacity.

Will we actually see the Land of Oz this season?
    Kitsis: Perhaps.
Horowitz: Let’s talk about that question in December.
Kitsis: Not in the first pod of episodes.

Well, now we know where they’re off to in S4. šŸ˜‰

ā€œIt’s about two big things,ā€ Horowitz adds. ā€œWhat does he want? And how did he get the way he is in order to want that thing?ā€

The showrunners added that Jafar will have an ā€œuneasy allianceā€ with the Red Queen. There is something she wants that Jafar can help her get. ā€œLike any partnership with two villains, neither trust the other,ā€ Kitsis says. ā€œLike all our characters, what she truly wants is something she cannot get through magic and power alone.ā€

Added executive producer Edward Kitsis: “You’ll realize that Alice was an ignored girl growing up, so in a lot of ways, Alice is trying to prove this to her father so she can get his love.”

But who is this genie? “We love the idea of a genie who thought, ‘If only one day I could get free, I could live [my own] life.’ Alice had a really tough growing-up process, so they kind of complete each other in a way.”

That’s gonna be a long 3 months, but the show will be better for it. Less interruptions is a good thing for any show like this that tells an ongoing story.

What? Who are these people? We don’t indulge in crackpot theories–we utilize deductive and inductive reasoning to come up with possible outcomes to fictional situations. Analyzation and theorization are higher-order thinking skills. We’re exercising our mind and being creative. Crackpot smackpot!

šŸ˜† When one starts to try and justify their insane actions, isn’t that a true indicator of insanity? šŸ˜‰

That actually really makes sense about Tink and August. Somehow, THO tipped Tamara off to August’s whereabouts in Asia and planned the whole set up. They’d been tracking him somehow because what’s the odds that Tamara would just bump into someone from a magical land and she just happens to be part of a supposed magic-hating mafia. That lead to there had been some kind of trace on August. Who knows how long, but they were playing him big time.

Exactly. Tamara didn’t just accidentally end up clear on the other side of the world in exactly the right place at exactly the right time to dump into August. She didn’t just accidentally leave her bag there on the bar with all the money in it for August to take. Everything was a calculated part of a mission to find and latch onto Nealfire, who was probably a pro at hiding, (we know he had no name on his apartment buzzer, and the only reason Rumple could pinpoint his location was because of their blood tie), so THO needed help tracking him down, and August led them right to him, (I imagine that Neal kept August up to date on his whereabouts through the years, due to their postcard promise). Wouldn’t surprise me if they implanted August with some science-y GPS tracking whatever back when they first discovered him as a kid, which is how they could find him and recruit him to break up SwanFire. There’s no way that August just decided to go and do that all of his own accord.

Sadly, I think we’ll never get the full story behind August. The rumors swirling about Eion Bailey and not getting along with the production crew and the fact that they retconned his character to a little boy appear to me that they don’t want to work with him anymore and that was their way around it.

There have also been quotes from JMo about what a great guy he is to work with though, and in the BTS pics of SB&T he seemed to be hanging out with everyone between takes just fine. I’m inclined to think there was just one person on set who didn’t like him, so they badmouthed him, and the rumour snowballed.

I think it’s more likely that they’d always planned to de-age him, because he knew too much about what had happened to SwanFire, the how and why and who of it all, and if he was still around in adult form, all that information would have been too easily revealed because all they’d have to do was ask him about it, and if he’s being a good boy now, he’d just tell them the truth.

They’d have a complete understanding of why SwanFire had been torn apart, which is no fun because they’d have resolved their issues easier, and they couldn’t drag out the “where do they truly stand with each other” stuff long enough to have the emo upheaval that will be the triangle with Hook. If August explained who had contacted him, told him all about the Curse, and how to break it, and why they’d told him all about it, that would clue the SBers into the existence of someone in the outside world with knowledge of magic and SB, maybe even clued them in to PP controlling things if August had dropped Tink’s name, and then they couldn’t have been able to keep GOAT around as a hidden threat so they could wreak havoc in the finale, and they wouldn’t be headed towards an enemy they’re unprepared to face. By taking away August’s memories, they were able to keep everyone, (characters and audience) in the dark, prolong the mystery, and set up more drama for S3.

I still don’t like that they did it, I still don’t think August really earned his do-over, I still don’t think it’s really fair that Geppetto gets a do-over being a parent to his kid as he grows up…but I can see why they did it to serve the future plot. I just wish there’d been another way to handle it, because there could have been some awesome stuff between August, Emma and Neal if he’d had to truly answer to them, and have them all sort through the mess. Then we could have seen him properly make up for his past actions, apologise, explain. He still could have re-built a real relationship with his father, being supported by his unconditional love and encouragement as he struggled to do the right thing by everyone, take accountability for his actions, and try to salvage his friendships with Emma, Neal, and Henry. The way it happened, August got off too easy.

Last night I re-watched Fruit of the Poisonous Tree, and the scene where Henry is in Granny’s writing out stuff from his lost book, and August is quizzing him about it, it was so weird to see them interact, knowing how things ended up. I mean, yeah, it’s great that Henry has a BFF his own age now, which he’s never had before, but I’d prefer to have Uncle August around instead.

Well the surprising connection spoiled by A and E at SDCC was that it was with someone on the panel, actually sitting at the table, so it can’t be Pinocchio since Eion isn’t a full cast member and wasn’t there.

JMo was there though, and if Tink is the one who told August everything, and gave him orders that would affect Emma’s life, then technically, Tink has a surprising connection to Emma. It also gives her a surprising connection to Neal, because while everyone would assume Tink has a connection with Bae from his time in NL, it would be surprising to see her also have a connection with Neal in our world.

If Rumple and Regina kill one each then I’d think that Rumple would go after Tamara and Regina would go after Greg. Although that makes me a little nervous since Nealfire tends to be against revenge and I don’t know if he’d like that Rumple killed Tamara lol.

Hmmm, yes, we even have MRJ saying in a CC interview that Neal isn’t a fan of revenge, so I can’t see it helping mend his relationship with Rumple if Rumple kills Tamara.

es, if we hear Tamara’s backstory then she’s history by the end of the episode. Same thing happened with Graham. We finally got his story and dead by the last act. Same as Cora and Johanna and Eva … it seems like a pattern. šŸ˜›

Oh it’s totally a pattern, I’m just not convinced that this will be the ep where we get Tamara’s whole backstory. Adam labeled it a Snowing ep, and I reckon this early on in the season, the main focus of the centric eps will be the main characters, and Tamara’s just a supporting character.

The way I could imagine this ep playing out is we may see Tamara struggling with her “lost” faith while she’s in NL, and then towards the very end of the ep, they’ll drop a little hint about her backstory. (warning: the rest of this potential ep summary assumes the RH’s daughter theory will play out)…

Towards the end of the ep, after we’ve seen Snowing with Rumple and whatever else goes on with their flashbacks, and we’ve seen Belle somehow having a reunion with Rumple in NL, (I’m assuming something magic-mirror-ish, especially considering Giancarlo is back for this ep), then RH shows up, both in FTL flashback, and in SB. In SB, he’s found Belle, (we know that his story arc will involve reuniting with Belle), and she’s all, “OMG I remember you, how’s the wife and kid?” In FTL, he’s reunited with Snow, who he hasn’t seen since that time she spent living in Sherwood Forest when he taught her how to hunt, and she asks how Marian is, (and possibly the baby, if Snow had known about the pregnancy). Sad RH tells both Snow and Belle about how his and Marian’s baby had to be sent to another world for her own protection, and so he “lost” his daughter. Then, dun dun duuunnnn, for the final scene of the ep, we go back to Tamara in NL, now completely “lost” and on her own because her only friend in NL, Greg, is now dead, and all the casual viewers who don’t waste countless hours indulging in crackpot theories sit there all, “SAY WHAAAAAAAT?!” as the ep ends.

Then a few more eps down the line, when they start to tie in what’s going on in SB, which may well involve more from THO showing up, that’s when we’ll get all the real world flashbacks that will tell Tamara’s full story, and that’s the ep where she’ll die.

I really hope that a video of the full panel shows up. There are already conflicting reports over what they said about Seb, (one article says he’s in the Pilot, another says he’s unavailable to appear on either show), and the way that one article implied that K&H implied that Wendy’s London wasn’t Real London, (which is the opposite of what’s been said before), but they didn’t just include their entire quote. We’re gonna need to see it for ourselves to know what was actually said about everything.
