Dunno. I just read another article a minute ago that included:

Although Sebastian Stan is in high demand and currently unavailable for an encore on either Once series, Kitsis said, “We’re never going to have a Mad Hatter not played by Sebastian.”

The EPs explained that the events of Wonderland take place concurrently with original Once — which raises the question of how then Alice can live in Victorian England. “It’s not historical Victorian England; it’s fictional Victorian England,” Horowitz said. As with other realms visited on Once, Wendy Darling’s England, Dr. Frankenstein’s world and such “are lands of story” removed from time.

There doesn’t happen to be vid of this out there somewhere, does there? Like, did they actually say, “Wendy Darling’s England is one of the lands of story, removed from time”? Or did the writer just pluck out a couple of alternate locations we’ve seen to fill out the sentence with their own interpretation of what was said? The way it’s written does seem to imply that Wendy’s England isn’t our England, which is the opposite of what Adam has said on Twitter.

Yeah they have a history of that. But they have a much more recent history, (like, a day or so ago), of her being strapped to a table while he happily set the dial to maximum and electro shocked her over and over and over, seeming perfectly prepared to kill her, but not until after causing her extreme pain first, and loving every second of it, rubbing in her face and mocking how she wasn’t the one in control, and he’d beaten her. That’s what will be fresh in her mind when she sees him next, so I can see her showing no mercy and just throwing a fireball at him without even thinking, (if Regina can be counted on for anything, it’s reacting emotionally and impulsively without thinking things through).

She may not want to raise a hand against him given that she’s trying to redeem herself

Is she now, though? Lana’s CC interviews made it sound like she was just gonna be bad again, and K&H have said she’ll need to be the EQ to get this job done. Like I said in my previous post, I reckon she may kill Greg on sight, and then they’ll hold Tamara prisoner and question her about who she works for. Not that it will get them very far with their present situation, because Tamara knows nothing about PP or NL, but even the revelation that she has no idea who has been controlling her will make the NL-virgins realise the formidable being they’re up against with PP, if he was even able to control the minions of THO in a whole other world, without them even being aware of how they were being controlled.

Like I mentioned in the other thread, I reckon Regina would target Greg before she’d go after Tamara, (because he was the one personally torturing her), and then the others would stop her from killing Tamara too. I still reckon Tamara will be around long enough to get her own centric ep, and while 302 may well be in part about her, I dunno that it’ll tell her complete backstory. Greg got his own centric ep, so I reckon Tamara will get one too, where we see flashbacks to her being trained by THO. That would fill in any more bits and pieces necessary to complete Greg’s story as well, but he wouldn’t need to be alive in present day by the time we see those flashbacks.

I keep going back and forth as to whether or not either or both of GOAT are gonna be killed. K&H no doubt are aware that viewers think they deserve to die, so killing them off may be too obvious of a move for them to make.

At the moment, I’m thinking that if only one of them dies, it’ll be Regina killing Greg. Both he and Tamara have done wrong by Regina, but the torture is what I reckon would make Greg in particular her prime target. I could see him dying early on in the season. Lana did seem very certain that Regina had a big kill coming up, and at the time they’d only seen the first couple of scripts. I reckon they’ll wanna show us more of Tamara’s story still, but we’ve already got most of Greg’s, so he’s more expendable in the immediate future. I could see Regina impulsively killing him, and the others being, “OMG what are you doing, we need them alive to get information out of them!” and that’s how Tamara gets to live a little bit longer.

(Also, I’d rather Regina not kill Tamara if she’s RH’s daughter, because that would blow a big hole in my RegalHood crackship. :-P)

and I know many people felt his “happy ending” was not actually a satisfying resolution of this character’s role in the story.

THIS! I always loved me some August, but the guy had crap to answer for, and now he’ll never be able to properly hash things out with Neal and Emma. *sigh*

We ought to find out how and what he knew about the curse. How did he know about the dagger? We can guess BF told him some stuff before he left or gave him the book, or that Bae told him some details of his life.

I had seen SO sure that his adult self had been given info from Blue…but…apparently not possible.

Mr. Gold: How about my other question? Who told you about me and the knife?
    August: A little fairy.

Truth, or was he just straight up snarking? If Blue did tell him anything, it must have been during the time when she thought he’d be going through the wardrobe. But I’m starting to think that Tink might have told him instead, and there are a couple of options as to how/when, though it’s all just speculation.

    1) The theory about NL being his Pleasure Island proves true, and PP had foreseen that he had a vital role to play, so told Tink to tell him stuff while he was there.

    2) Tink has been able to cross over to our world during the Curse years, tracked August down, and told him.

Even though it’s the crackpottier theory, I’m leaning towards option 2. THO and PP have a connection, of this we’re pretty much positive. PP was able to send the Shadow to our world to fetch children. So what’s to say he couldn’t also send Tink back and forth as the messenger between himself and THO.

THO recruited Greg because as a kid, he blabbed about the magical place. I reckon little August probably blabbed about the magical place too, (he knew nothing of the differences between the worlds, and what an unusual thing magic is to our world, so why wouldn’t he blab about where he’d come from?). If THO had Owen on their radar, it stands to reason they had August on their radar too. Perhaps the reason they were keeping an ear out for kids blabbing about magic is because they were keeping an ear out for August in particular, because they knew he was out there and that he had a role to play, and they just happened to stumble on Owen in the process.

So, THO finds August, and because the information he needs to know is important and specific, the only one PP trusts to deliver it is his right hand fairy, Tink. So one night August picks up this hot blonde at a bar, (casting call said she’s a party girl), and he gets her alone and thinks he’s about to get lucky, and then she blurts out, “I know you’re Pinocchio,” then tells him all about who she is, and who Nealfire is, and Rumple and the dagger and the whole thing. Then she sends him to find SwanFire and break them up.

I saw a post on tumblr recently where someone suggested that the reason August forced SwanFire to break up was because he knew that true love was needed to break the Curse. If Emma stayed with Neal, they had Henry, it was all happy families and they had a fulfilling life, then what would have been able to spark that thing inside Emma that was absolutely necessary to break the Curse? It was her whole struggle, starting in that hopeless place, and slowly moving towards believing in the truth that created that true love in her heart which made it possible for her to fulfill her role as the breaker of the Curse. If she already had true love, would the Curse have been impossible to break?

Looking at it like that, August had no choice but to ensure that they broke up and Emma was left ruined. He was supposed to help her achieve her destiny, and that’s exactly what he did. So while I should probably hate him for interfering and breaking up my OTP…really, I just feel sorry for him because he was in a situation where the only way he could do the right thing for her, was to do something that would break her heart. (Which is the same situation Neal was put in as well, after his meeting with August.)

He didn’t have to take her money and run though. That was still a douche move. Though I suspect he did it out of fear in the hopes that no one magical would be able to track him down again and give him another sucky mission.

I love Demileto’s theory that little puppet Pino went to Pleasure Island AKA NL. I think that would be the perfect way to wrap the character into the present tale. Maybe rebooted August has selective memories of his past life that start to resurface (no friends with benefits in Phuket memories please!).

I do still like this theory, and all the blabbing I’ve just done about Tink in our world with August doesn’t negate the possibility of NeverPleasureIslandLand. If the SBers manage to figure out where Henry and the JR6 are, and if Neal doesn’t make it back to SB for a while, then it would be handy for them to have someone else in town with knowledge of NL, which is where Pinocchio could become important.

Another question, like Emma, he was out in the real world. Did he meet NO one who was completely non-magical who ever cared about him enough to wonder where he went? I wonder that about Emma too, but I guess the answer we were given is, not really. But what if his little bedmate in Phuket wasn’t just that? It is a show about hope and happy endings, but the drama and conflict needs to be continual so if they wanted, they could tap back into this character and mine his story for more.

I’ve never really considered that, but it’s an excellent question!

Yeah, I’ve wondered myself if PP has been anticipating some sort of showdown with Rumple. Had never really stopped to think about if PP would even know about the JR6 though.

I guess we dunno for sure if GOAT know that the failsafe was deactivated or not, depends on exactly when they snatched Henry and ran off.

But if the last thing GOAT knew about the failsafe was that it was about to blow in the mines, and then they went straight to the docks and jumped in the portal, it’s not like they called THO to say, “Failsafe got deactivated,” and if THO doesn’t know that, then neither does PP, (who we’re assuming has a line of communication to THO).

So unless PP “saw” the failsafe failing, he currently thinks SB and everyone in it went bye bye. If he’d “seen” that the failsafe wouldn’t work, then wouldn’t he have just told THO to tell GOAT to snatch Henry and jump in a portal first chance they got, instead of THO sending GOAT information and orders about activating the failsafe (to isolate Henry) in the first place?

I’d sorta like to see PP sitting there all smug about his plan finally paying off, and then one of his minions comes rushing up all, “The Jolly Rodger is back, and the boy’s family are the crew,” and PP is caught totally off guard because he was expecting all of them (including Hook) to be dead by now so they couldn’t show up and foil his centuries long plan right when he’s about to finally snatch victory. PP would be super pissed and it’d give them an opportunity to show just how creepy he can be and how much you don’t wanna be on his bad side.

It’s probably a long set rule, much like the Jedi from the Star Wars prequels. Their only purpose is to serve and protect the people. They aren’t allowed to fall in love, because that would deter/distract them from their cause in life.

Considering this, it’s pretty obvious why the fairies became nuns. Similar job requirement.

Although I don’t think Tamara is the daughter of RH and Marian. I think Tamara has her own backstory, who lost her parents and was raised up by her grandma, as I mentioned before, but in a way a victim of magic, like Greg/Owen. Even tho, 302 isn’t about her, I still think she is a lost girl in away.
And about RH, I don”t think his child matters anymore in this whole story. If so, I will find out in September.

The thing that’s keeping me on the team that subscribes to the daughter-of-RH theory, (actually is making me suspect it even more), is that the new actor playing RH is in Vancouver right now, and probably has been during the filming of 302 as well, judging by a tweet he’d sent to Adam about seeing him, and we know Adam was in Vancouver for the filming of 302.

If this “Lost Girl” title is referring to Tamara at all, that probably means they’ll reference her backstory somehow. And if they’re potentially bringing RH back in this ep, he’ll have to be connected to the storyline somehow. So it’s likely they could be connected to each other IMO.

Also, we already know that there are definitely FTL flashbacks because we’ve seen photos of it from set. We know there will definitely be scenes from present day NL. We also know there’s a Rumbelle reunion of some description, which implies we’ll likely get at least one scene of Belle in SB, because only seeing her in NL in some form would be really random. That’s already 3 locations, and if they wanna tell some of Tamara’s story about her parents and those flashbacks are based in our world with regular people, that would be adding yet another time and place to an ep that’s already jumping between 3 places. That’s the sort of overcrowed ep that people complained about last season, and interviews have suggested that they’re reining things in a bit this season, so I can’t see them sticking with that same, overcrowded episode structure.

So I reckon if Tamara’s backstory is shown at all in this ep, it will be part of the Snowing FTL flashbacks. It’s already been implied that Snow spent time living with RH during her Bandit days. If so, RH wouldn’t be out of place in Snowing flashbacks. Also, we know that RH’s story arc will involve him reuniting with Belle in SB. If Belle’s seen in SB in 302, this could be the ep where she and RH meet up.

Of course, that’s a whole bunch of little assumptions on my part, but it all fits together logically in my head, (as do many other crackpot things :-P). Basically, I reckon 302 will either make or break this particular theory.
