ParticipantCopying and pasting something Josephine said in the chat…
I don’t know if the BF is dying but the forest seems to be. No more enchanted trees, the beans gone, mines closed. But maybe if the BF is dying, the land dies too.
Maybe it’s PP and/or NL that is dying? And because NL is the birthplace of imagination and belief, which is what magic is made of, NL dying off means all the other magical lands run out of magic too? Sorta like in The Neverending Story. So PP is our Childlike Empress, and the magic dying out in all the lands is the Nothing, and Henry is Bastian, the human boy who is tasked with restoring all the magical stuff that’s been lost when he truly believes.
If something like that has been going on for all this time, then I’d have to think that Blue is in the know and has been doing whatever she needs to do to help the situation move along so that eventually the magic will all be restored by Henry once he gets to NL. “I’m on the right side.” Well if the ultimate goal is for magic to flourish at full capacity once again, then of course she’s on the right side, even if she has to be sneaky along the way. The end totally justifies the means.

ParticipantAn old schoolmate of Sonequa’s instagramed this a few hours ago, which suggests she’s currently in Alabama:

She used the Mad Hatters hate to jump.
Even if she used Jefferson’s hat to get there, a major trait of NL is that you can’t leave once you’re there. So yes, she may very well have used Jefferson’s hat to get there, but there still has to be a story of how she got back out, because by rights, she should have been stuck once she was there.

ParticipantYeah I’m pretty sure Regina is the character with the connection to Tinkerbelle that was teased at ComicCon. Jennifer Morrison said in one of her long press room interviews that Regina has been to Neverland before, so it makes sense for it to be her.
Have been thinking about Regina’s apparent visit to NL, and how she got out of there, considering it’s a place you’re not supposed to be able to leave. Maybe she used Tink’s pixie dust?

ParticipantGiven the rough look of the Lost Boys and their makeshift camp I wonder if Tink’s costume will take inspiration from the classic look but be a lot more rugged and hard wearing.
I’m imagining her looking a bit rough and rustic, like if you took her traditional dress and turned it into camo wear, more dirty khaki instead of bright, shiny green.

ParticipantWow, OK, was not expecting Giancarlo to be in a FTL flashback in human form! I assume he was there because he was actually in the scene, and he wasn’t just hanging around watching? Hmmmm, very curious! I’ll hafta go back and watch the Genie ep now to figure out how this could fit.
Lost Boys hideout pics are cool!
This little hut has starfish hanging on the side, which made me flail about mermaids. 😉 (I’ve actually pondered if Ariel maybe ended up living with The Lost Ones at some point.)

ParticipantBF might not have told Bae about TLK because, if it didn’t work, Bae may have felt that Rumple didn’t truly love him or Rumple may have felt that Bae no longer loved him. Since Bae was the only one at the time who was kind of able to keep Rumple in check, it wouldn’t have been a wise idea to risk destroying that bond between the two.
Good point!
I’m all about Sneaky Fairy being Sneaky, but I agree with the arguments that TLK wouldn’t have worked between Bae and Rumple. Maybe it would in present day, or rather, the near future, because Bae is older and wiser and could become more understanding and forgiving of what Rumple’s thought process is. But YoungBae just wanted his father to be someone different, and TLK only works if you love the person for who they are.
I do wonder if Blue is the most distrusted character on the show. We know Rumple and Regina are layered and messed up. Even Snow had her little internal crisis. But Blue is portrayed as this all-knowing benevolent being who does suspicious things for unknown reasons. I just don’t trust her.
With everyone else, we’ve been shown how no one is perfect, even Snow White has her faults. No one is black and white, they’re all shades of grey. But they want us to just buy that Blue is 100% pure good? Does not compute with what they’ve shown us in regards to everyone else. This makes me suspicious.

ParticipantWe’ve been led to believe that Peter Pan is the big bad and I think that’s the point. We’re supposed to believe Peter Pan is the big bad when in fact he may be the dragon (the second in command). We know they’re treating this upcoming season as 2 mini seasons and saying that, I think Peter Pan is going to be the big bad for the first 11 episodes which will end with the JR heroes defeating him and the spring 11 episodes will be where it is revealed that there is an even bigger bad behind Peter Pan. PP may be in charge of GOAT but theres someone in charge of PP.
PP actually taking orders from someone ranked above him wouldn’t make sense to me. He’s traditionally characterised as a kid who plays by his own rules and does whatever he wants. He does not follow orders from any adult. PP is not someone who does anyone’s bidding. Judging by what we’ve been led to believe, K&H are gonna take PP’s traditionally known traits an amplify them to make him someone you truly don’t want to mess with because he’s bad news. If it’s then revealed that his actions were something that someone else told him to do, that turns him into a toothless lion. Why would they build him up as being someone awesome and powerful if he’s actually just a lame kid doing what his superior tells him? That is not who PP is, and however K&H may tweak their version of him, I really cannot see them making him subordinate to anyone, because it would make him appear like a powerless kid who really isn’t all that special after all. PP is no one’s minion, never has been, and to turn him into one would be a bit of an insult to such an iconic character. PP is Eddy’s fave story of all time. They’re not gonna diss PP tradition and make him less powerful than we all traditionally know him to be.
Now, do I think that there’s someone else out there who made PP the way he is? Almost definitely, because this is OUAT where evil isn’t born, it’s made. Whoever that is that corrupted PP in the first place may well be the next big bad. But I believe that what’s going on in NL right now is all down to PP. There’s no one in a more superior position telling him what to do. If NL is a scary place, ruled by a scary guy, that’s PP’s own actions making it so.
Again, I go back to the finale dialogue that started this whole debate. Felix was speaking with definite knowledge of his master’s abilities, and the way the dialogue was constructed, he was clearly referring to PP. Therefore, PP is the one calling the shots in NL.

ParticipantI’d considered that maybe they’d have SB flashbacks for Regina’s ep, but Eddy said in a CC interview when asked how much SB we’ll see, that the focus of the first bunch of eps would be the NL crew and FTL flashbacks. He said SB would tie in eventually, but not right away.

ParticipantRight you are, slurpeez, thanks for the rundown!
Re: Blue and Regina. Every time this comes up and we question it, people point out that you have to ASK for Blue’s help. She doesn’t just appear, which was supposed to be the big clue in “The Queen is Dead” that who Snow met in the woods was NOT Blue because even Snow says that she “hadn’t made her wish yet.” So I think Regina never asked for help. If she had though, would Blue have responded. Sneaky Fairy is also potentially part of PP’s legion so she may have let Regina to suffer in order to make everything fall into place.
Yep, I’ve never held it against Blue whenever people say she never helped Regina, because we’ve never seen Regina ask for her help. Would be interesting to see what might have happened if she did ask though. If Keegan’s gonna be in the Regina centric ep, chances are they’ll interact in some way.

ParticipantWell Tinkerbelle would probably not be pleased her thread has been hijacked by Belle…I can imagine angry bell noises and a light flashing everywhere!
😆
Or will it continue the jellyfish stuff?
Please God no. All the other costumes are so fabulous, but they really dropped the ball on the overly adorned jellyfish dresses. I can see them going traditional styling with Tink. She’s so iconic that she sorta has to have a specific dress and hairstyle.
Aaaaannnnnd I’ve just imagined a scene where Tink gets booted out of FTL into NL and says, “Thank GOD, now I can lose this ridiculous jellyfish dress!” And she rips it off then grabs a few leaves to make herself a strapless mini instead. 😉
Does anyone else think Tink’s arc will be pretty short? I’m thinking similar to Cora. Much as I love the character, somehow I don’t see her being main cast or even recurring in the long run.
I could see her getting about the same screentime as Cora. Dunno that Disney would let them kill her off though. For a second there, I wondered if maybe she’d be Regina’s fave kill.
