If I were Emma, I’d totally be down with this plan. There are far worse fates in life than being the meat in a CaptainFire sammich. 😉

Wish they’d thrown in a line saying where she was. They could have been crafty and said she was off trying to track GOAT to see what intelligence she could acquire. 😉

About the magical hat, I think the better question is, how was the original one created? Jefferson apparently had no hand in that, or he’d have created one for Cora when he was stuck in Wonderland. Was it Rumple who did it, or someone else?

Yes! Really hope they get the chance to tell that story at some point. If it was something that Rumple had created, you’d think that Cora would have known how to do it, and she didn’t. Also, if Rumple knew how to make himself a magical portal hat, he wouldn’t have needed to employ Jefferson to go realm jumping for him. I’d love to know how one finds themselves working in Jefferson’s profession.

I think I’m the only person who doesn’t *care* what happened to her.

Not just you. She served her purpose to the story and ended up back with the guy she was meant to be with. Sure, it might have been nice to see a scene where they reunited in SB, but I don’t consider it a big deal that we never got that kind of closure.

This isn’t a dropped story. We’re going to get it in S3

It’s one of my pet peeves when people class something as a plothole when it’s quite obviously just something they haven’t gotten around to showing yet. This is why I haven’t even read the article linked to, because I’m sure about half of it will just irritate me.

Having experienced that, does anyone really think he’d trust Hook with Henry’s safety? For all he knows Hook’d do that just so he can extort Peter Pan of something.

Depends what’s come to pass in NL by the time Nealfire catches up with them again. Hook, Rumple, and Regina, will likely all be willing to engage in underhanded activities in the quest to get Henry back, but it’s anyone’s guess at this stage exactly how any of them will behave. If Hook does something in rescuing Henry that truly proves him trustworthy, then Nealfire will have to acknowledge that he’s changed and will have to reevaluate his opinion of him.

Turning the boat around was a good start towards proving himself, because Hook didn’t do that for himself. In fact, at the time he turned the boat around, his intention was to help save the town, and that included saving Rumple. Hook had officially let go of his centuries old vendetta. And if he went back and they failed to save the town, then his arse was toast along with everyone else’s. He put himself in harm’s way, to help save the Crocodile. That alone is a major change. And Bae told him that he’d never be able to change. Hook wants to prove the kid wrong and be a better man as a means of honouring Bae’s memory.

I am STILL wondering what happened to the hat Emma made for Jefferson in Hat Trick, and where Jefferson went after he (presumably) fell through, and how he got back to SB. I’m really doubtful this will be addressed, however. Maybe they could mention it in OUATIW, one day…

K&H have confirmed that that hat was not magical and it didn’t send Jefferson anywhere. Think it might have been in one of their podcasts that they mentioned it.

If Onceiverse PP carries a knife, maybe that’s what he uses to remove people’s shadows.

….but if Bae had chosen to stay with hook, that wouldn’t have happened. As much as I love Bae to pieces, I find him partly to blame for his Neverland fiasco.

He was pretty adamant about not staying on the JR. But then the question is, should Hook, knowing how dangerous the Lost Ones are, have put his foot down and insisted that Bae was staying, if only for his own personal safety? Hook probably didn’t feel in a position to wield that sort of parental declaration though, given how Bae had knocked back the proposal of them being family. It’s an emotionally complex situation from both of their perspectives.

    @RumplesGirl wrote:

So while I think forgiveness to Hook is much easier and simpler than Rumple, I do think it’s a little bit more than a “I’m sorry.”

Hook’s turning that boat around was his, “I’m sorry.” He thinks he’s lost the final chance to ever say it to Bae’s face, but remembering this…
Hook: It’s not too late to start over. I can change, Bae…for you.
Bae: You say that, but I know you’ll never change, because all you care about is yourself.

…made him turn that ship around and finally change, do the right thing, for Bae, and his family, even though Bae’s gone and will never know about it, (as far as Hook knows, given that everyone thinks Nealfire is dead). It’s a massive gesture on his part, and it will be interesting to see how readily Nealfire accepts it when they do meet up again, (which I’m sure they will).

In my head I have these images of Hook trying to rescue Bae from the Lost Ones.

It’s possible. Something must start his rivalry with Peter Pan somehow, and that’s a believable one.

Yes, I’m hoping for this too. When the Lost Ones have Bae in their little boat, and Hook looks down at him, there’s instant regret in his expression.

Copying and pasting my post from the “afraid of shadows” thread, coz it fits this topic…

Wonder if Rumple left the dagger in SB? He thinks he’s going to his inevitable doom, so I could see him leaving it behind, either because he thinks he’s screwed anyway, or because he has a faint hope that he might get out alive if the dagger isn’t in NL with him.

It could be cool if Belle finds the dagger in SB, and then the name on it changes to PP at some point. I know there have been magic mirror theories floating around too, but the name on the dagger changing would be another way for Belle to discover where Rumple is, because everyone knows that PP is in NL. Of course, she’d think that he’s died if the name changes, which wouldn’t be so fun, but it could provide a wonderfully emotional scene between Belle and Nealfire, (assuming they’re reunited by then).

Keb, that all went way over my head, so I’ll just nod and give you a gold star for being able to make any sort of sense out of it all. 😆

I’m sure this theory has already been posed, but maybe “this isn’t my first stop” just refers to Manhattan? Since he landed in London? So still technically true even if a bit wonky.

Nah, he actually says, “this world wasn’t my first stop when I left home.” The only way they can really rationalise it is if they say, “Well Victorian London seems like a totally different world compared to modern day Manhattan.” But that’s a really fanwanky way of having to explain it. Even if Nealfire wasn’t immediately aware when he landed in America in the 80s that it was the same physical world that Victorian London had been in, boyfriend has had plenty of time to learn himself some basic history and figure it out, so he should choose his words more carefully. 😛
