ParticipantIs there a release date for this specific issue of the mag? I’m expecting that someone will have that full bit that mentions Ariel posted online ASAP after the mag comes out, but I’ve no idea exactly when to be keeping an eye out for it.

RG…. ARE THOSE THE CLOTHES HE IS WEARING IN LONDON IN THE EXTENDED PREVIEW!!!????
The jacket doesn’t look quite as tattered to me, but he could have had the jacket repaired at some point after meeting Wendy. Also, he doesn’t have the white shirt on under it when he first meets Wendy, but when she’s flying out the window, he’s wearing a white shirt, which is probably the one he’s wearing in the pic with Hook. The chunky belt thing in the pic with Hook looks new to me.

What is sad Baelfire holding? In my opinion, it could be a portrait of his mother, Milha, which Hook kept on his ship all these years. I can just imagine Hook telling young Bae about how his dad killed his mom. So sad for Bae! 😥Well spotted. I was too busy being excited over them sharing a scene together that I hadn’t looked at what was in his hand! Tried to zoom in on it, but it’s too pixelated to make anything out any better than in the small version. Also doesn’t help that Dylan’s hand is covering the top part. Judging by their body language, I could see your interpretation being true. Hook pointing to the spot where it happened, and Bae looking with that sad expression. 🙁
The only question I have is, if he already knows how his mother died, why haven’t we seen Nealfire throwing it in Rumple’s face yet? If it were me, the, “YOU KILLED MY MOTHER,” is something I’d wanna get off my chest the first chance I got, especially if I’d been holding it in for a couple hundred years. I guess maybe they just didn’t want to give away that reveal of him knowing as far back as in Manhattan though?

Also some interesting stuff on the right to the picture, including what looks like: Lost Boys, mermaids, and Ariel!
Yes, the TV Guide writer tweeted that that’s a sidebar with info from Colin, and it drops hints about Ariel. Do we know yet when this issue of TV Guide actually comes out? Because I really, really, really need to see that whole part of the article.

ParticipantI NEED TO SEE THIS SIDEBAR!
That is all.

I don’t think that Wendy will be Ariel though, because they’ve said Ariel, if she happens, is a season three thing. Besides, it would be a waste of probably the most requested character I’ve seen for this show to make her Wendy too.
Agreed that they won’t mash them up in this case. People have been hoping for Ariel since ep 1, and given that she’s 1 of the iconic Disney princesses, I think she’ll be her own character.

ParticipantI posted this in another thread just before, but it fits with this discussion, so cutting and pasting….
What Is The Home Office?
In the clip, Tamara talks about sending the magic beans and Regina’s black diamond back to The Home Office for analysis. The creators promise fans will learn what The Home Office is and what they’re after, but not why they want it over the next two episodes.Seeing the term “Home Office” crammed together 3 times in one paragraph reminded me of Jane’s tweet from a couple of months back…

…maybe it’s nothing, but I’m just sayin’, it reminded me of her tweet. There’s no place like The Home Office?Phee

Bad Company
The producers promised a “very honest conversation” between Rumple (Robert Carlyle) and Belle/Lacey (Emilie de Ravin) in “Second Star to the Right,” which will also play into the prophecy about Henry (Jared Gilmore) somehow being his grandfather’s undoing. “Right now he’s … clearly on a bender with Lacey, he’s clearly abandoned his son. Our characters like to repeat their own mistakes because I think we as humans constantly repeat our own mistakes,” Kitsis pointed out. “The villains this year are all trying to go on the straight and narrow and none of them can seem to get off the bottle, and so … I would hate to find out, if [Lacey] heard about this prophecy, what she thinks about letting a little child stand in the way.“That sounds really foreboding and really bad for Grandpastiltskin’s relationship with his son and with Henry. Rumple is siding with Lacey, who brings out his dark side. 😕 Can I have one of those cookies, please? 😥
Lacey is totally gonna tell him to let the kid fry, isn’t she? 😯 😕 On the plus side though, perhaps that will be Rumple’s breaking point where he realises, “Wait up, NO, giving into this dark stuff just because Lacey likes it is NOT the right thing to be doing after all.” Perhaps?

Hooked on Neverland
The next two episodes are, in many ways, one prolonged story with both installments focusing on Baelfire’s backstory, and how he could become Peter Pan. “We’ve hinted that Baelfire knew somebody from the world of Peter Pan and we know that he has a weird connection to this person,” Kitsis told us. “And this person will be seen and he has beautiful guyliner … and a shiny hand.” He added, “The finale is very Hook-centric in the flashback.”I’m so excited for this stuff I’m just about bouncing off the freaking walls!

Participant“Neverland-adjacent” is what I’ll be losing sleep over for the next week. What on earth do they have planned? I sort of love how I thought I’d formed some pretty decent theories about the end of the season, and now I’m just confused. Even being a total spoiler whore can’t ruin the surprises on this show for me.
That said, Once‘s version “is probably not the lovely, cuddly shadow we remember,” he noted. “We’re doing [Peter Pan and Neverland] completely differently.”
Knew those creepy eyes were meant to suggest a creep factor. 😈
“You will find out who the Home Office is [and] what they want, but you won’t know why,” Kitsis shared. “Since we [as TV viewers] have all been trained with initiatives and secret organizations, we are hoping to lead you down a different path, one that goes, ‘Ah, OK, it’s not that.’
This is gonna turn us all into mental cases during the hiatus. I like that they’re trying to give us something completely new that we hopefully haven’t seen before.
WHAT HAPPENED TO GREG’S DAD? | Onetime Storybrooke interloper Kurt Flynn’s fate will be revealed this Sunday, Horowitz promises. Important to remember: Despite whatever story Regina spins in the interim, “No one leaves Storybrooke,” Kitsis reminds.
Reading this article, this was one of very few solid things I could cling onto while everything else melted my brain, because DUH, as if Regina told the truth when she said he’d left.
“Unfortunately for Regina, she’s now strapped to a table and the two people who have it” — Tamara and Greg — “seem to be hellbent on getting rid of this town.”
I really think that GOAT’s plans are gonna get screwed up. I mean, yeah right now, it looks like they wanna eradicate the magical town that’s invaded their world. But in the finale, they’re using a magical bean to take Henry somewhere. If they were still sticking to destroying the town, they just had to drive over the town line then hit the detonate button. But instead they’re taking Henry and going to a magical land of some description? The magic haters are using magic and going to a magical land. I really don’t think that’s part of their original plan. Which is why I’m not ready to cross SB off the map just yet.
WILL BELLE EVER TOLL AGAIN? | The producers promised more on the Rumple/Belle/Lacey before season’s end — including Lacey’s possibly surprising perspective on the prophecy about Henry, were she to get wind of it! —
So obviously she’s gonna get wind of it, which must mean that at some point Rumple feels close enough to Lacey to confide in her. Would it be surprising for Lacey to suggest that the prophecy means Rumple losing his powers? It’s certainly not a new or surprising concept for the fandom, but would it be a surprising thought for Lacey to have?
and also hinted it will take something brand-new, and not True Love’s Kiss, to bring Belle back. If, that is, Rumple still pines for the princess. “He seems to be enjoying Lacey because she lets him be who he really wants to be. And his son is who he wants to better for,” Kitsis noted. “So the question is, which one of those will win at the end? That would be the internal showdown for Mr. Gold.”
Maybe Lacey will get a clue about the relationship between Rumple and Nealfire, and how much Rumple longs for it, and that will soften something in her, which will encourage Rumple to not be so dark, and then everyone wins! Perhaps?
UM, HOW DO YOU ELECTROCUTE A WOODEN MAN…? | Amidst much talk of Tamara’s evil deeds, Kitsis and Horowitz offered a mea culpa about the Taser-like device she used to fell The Dragon and August/Pinocchio, saying that if they could change any one thing about Season 2, it’d be their choice of gizmo.
I can’t believe they got so much crap over that freaking taser!

Death? I still say Granny at the hands of Tamara because she over hears something.
Yep, Granny’s still my bet too.
@MatthewPaul wrote:
The no True Love’s Kiss saving Belle confirmation gives more support to my theory that Lacey/Belle remembers by drinking from the well, which is powered the same way to restore what was once lost as Lake Nostos.
Frankly, I’m surprised Rumple didn’t think of trying that with Belle already.

Not sure if someone said this, and I have no big basis for it. But with regards to the “Field Office” Tamara mentions in the 10 min promo, and the thoughts others have mentioned that there had to be someone who had a bad run in magic. Maybe the Darlings, Wendy’s family, who right now are the oldest people that have some connection to magical worlds run the organization (“Field Office” People). In the Disney cartoon, Mr. Darling has a connection with Neverland, obviously, and so perhaps he is where it starts.
Totally a whacked out idea with no basis but someone’s gotta run the organization, so why not a connection to Baelfire?
Whacked out, crackpot theories can be the most fun. 😉 I’ve been wondering myself over the last day or so if this secret organisation could potentially be some exclusive club of a handful of people who have connections to magical worlds. These people have to have some really solid reason for doing what they do. I like your idea of the Darlings potentially being involved.
