That describes an addict falling off the wagon. ๐Ÿ˜ฏ That man really can’t be trusted with magic. He was ready to give it up when there was no power behind the dagger, but if he gets that little taste back, it might make him have that monkey right back on his back. I really hope he doesn’t completely turn back into Rumple.

This is what makes me think that Rumple didn’t design the curse so that breaking it would bring back magic. He wanted to be RID of his magic once and for all, so his son would want to be with him again. From Mr Gold’s perspective, “magic is coming” could mean that the curse is about to be broken and he’ll finally be free to leave town and go find Bae, as opposed to, “everyone’s magical powers are coming back”.

Also, I think that Dr. Whale isn’t very trustworthy.

Understatement of the century! ๐Ÿ˜† He probably recognised that thing as being made by Regina, maybe she even gave him the heads up that if Sheriff Swan was rushed into the ER, don’t worry ’bout it coz she just made her a “special” apple turnover. He discounted it waaaaay too quickly then tried to distract Emma by asking what else it could be.

In the promo for the finale, we hear Emma say, “I love you, Henry.” I think she says that as she leans over Henry’s hospital bed and kisses her son on the forehead, and woosh, a mighty force blows Regina and Dr. Whale’s hair, releasing Henry from the sleeping curse like Prince Charming did for SW. Also, I think that immediately after Emma releases Henry from the curse, she’ll believe, and the camera will pan to David and MM remembering who they are.

Yep. I’d originally thought that the scene with David and MM would be the final scene, but now I’m wondering if it’ll be earlier in the ep and we’ll see a bit of people reacting right after they remember.

Since we see Mother Superior/Blue Fairy in the background of the hospital with a peaceful look on her face, that pretty much indicates in my mind that she remembers her life in FTL. While we’d expect her as a nun to be on pastoral care at the hospital, I think she may also be there to see the sleeping curse break. I think she’s always known how Emma would believe. After all, she is the original power and would know how to ward off the effects of the dark curse on herself.

I’m almost positive she remembers. There could have been any old nun at the hospital, but I think the fact that it’s her suggests that she rushed there right after hearing what was happening with Henry, so she could be there to oversee the events as the curse breaks.

Also, I think that Emma may have a look of horror on her face as she realize August is turning into wood as she believes in magic. I think he will plead with her one last time to believe on his death bed. August may even put the seed of belief into her mind and convince her that only she can save Henry.

I’ve been trying to figure out how the scene in August’s room will fit into the timeline. Will this be before or after she kisses Henry? If we assume that Henry wakes up when she kisses him, and that makes her believe which breaks the curse, then August wouldn’t still be telling her she needs to break the curse. But would Emma leave Henry’s side to go find August before she knows that he is OK? Doubt it. I could see her going to find August if she tries to call him to tell him what’s happened with Henry but he doesn’t answer, (which he wouldn’t if he’s bed ridden). Her horrified expression suggests she can now see what’s happening to him, so you’d think she’d have to believe at that point, right? Or maybe she doesn’t completely believe yet, but Henry waking up has caused her to doubt her denial just enough to see him? Or maybe she does believe, but her believing isn’t enough to completely break the curse and save him, and she has to go do something else, which is where that elevator and the sword comes in? So many questions. My head hurts now. LOL

I think that August will be around next season though, since Eion Bailey said in a recent interview that the writers were coming up with ways to incorporate his character into season 2 plot line. That gives me hope that Emma will believe in the curse in the nick of time to save August’s life.

That’s a comforting fact. August has become one of my faves and I’d be sad if they killed him off in the finale.

Even if August does turn into a puppet, it’s possible that after Emma believes, magic will fully come to SB and that the Blue Fairy will get her power back and be able to turn August back into a real man like she did for Pinocchio in FTL.

Obviously we don’t know yet what cause the breaking of the curse will have, but my guess is that it won’t bring people’s magic back. But if the curse evaporates, then I’d expect the hold it has on August to disappear, and he’ll be human again as a result. I hope.

In An Apple Red as Blood, August showed Henry his left arm was made of wood, but he was able to move the fingers on his left hand (which was covered with a glove), and he is able to walk (with wooden legs). Does this mean that his left hand is still human, or that he is capable of moving wooden body parts? I understand for cost reasons it was easier to keep his glove on, as opposed to creating a wooden hand, but if he can move his body parts (legs, fingers) even though theyโ€™ve become wood, what makes August think he wouldnโ€™t be able to function once completely wood (magical enchanted wood)? So does he really need magic, or does he only need to be brave, truthful, and unselfish.

I’m thinking he’s gradually turning into regular old wood, not enchanted wood, (because we don’t have enchanted wood in our world). He didn’t move his fingers much, in fact it kinda looked like he was trying to move them just so he could see if he still can. He moved awkwardly when he got down on his knee and said that it’s hard to walk, and ride the bike, and soon it’ll be hard to breathe too. Once his torso turns to wood and he no longer has functioning lungs, that’ll make the whole living thing hard to do. Will spoiler tag this just in case people are avoiding the promo for the finale, he's bed ridden in the clip we see of him, so I think that once parts of him have turned completely wooden, he's kinda screwed.

Also, August needs to realize that by wanting to only spend time with his father he is still being selfish. He still needs to be brave and get back to helping Emma, at all costs.

He just wants to spend what little time he has left with his father. Considering his situation, I can’t fault him for that and can’t blame him for having given up hope.

I bought a nail polish today and the colour was “royal fever”. 60 seconds after I’d bought it, I was tweeting Lana about how Regina would rock it.

Where was Emma going when she is holding the sword? Where does everyone think that is?

Another entrance to Regina’s hospital dungeon, perhaps? We know Emma will already be at the hospital. Though that doesn’t explain how she got a sword, or what she’d need it for.

Sooooo much stuff in this promo I CAN’T WAIT to see in the ep! Eeeeeeek! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

They’ve said her Storybrooke counterpart will share a scene with another fave guest star, but haven’t said we won’t also see her in FTL as far as I know. I assume we’ll see how she got captured by EQ, (I reckon she sent Huntsman to lure Belle into a trap).

It looks like Emma kisses Henry on the head and Regina and Dr. Whale’s hair is flying back like the ring of power that happened when Charming kissed Snow in the pilot.

Isn’t there a pic around somewhere of Granny and Ruby where it looks like the same thing is happening to them with the blowing hair? Methinks the curse is breaking.

    @scaredcrow65 wrote:

Should we be worried about August? That looks like Granny’s and Emma looks pretty upset. I’m guessing she found either August dead or turned into a lifeless puppet. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

She certainly looks pretty horrified when she walks into what appears to be August’s room. ๐Ÿ˜• But I’ve figured that once the curse breaks, that’ll fix him, so I’m clinging to that hope!

The Blue Fairy/Mother Superior is hanging around in the hospital as well! I think this is another indication of her being aware of who she is and what is going on.

She seems to be watching proceedings with calm anticipation in that shot where Regina and Whale are looking worried.

Loved how in the middle of her going off at Emma in full on MamaSnow mode, they had her say that Emma was reverting to the person she was before Storybrooke. Uh, yeah, MM, it’s not just Emma who’s doin’ that right now. ๐Ÿ˜‰

What i want is for Henry to call Emma mom. Let’s hear that. That is what they meant about code names.

Yes, back in the beginning when they were talking codenames for Operation Cobra, Henry said he had a name in mind for her, but he didn’t think she was ready for it yet. Codename = mom.
