ParticipantThanks for posting the interview, slurpeez. 😀

Those are definitely clues, but are they clues that we put in there so that you would later go, “Oh my God, it was Pinocchio!” or are those clues we put in there to make you think he’s Pinocchio when in fact, we’re planning an elaborate mislead. It’s very hard to say at this moment.
Do you think that part of the selection process to be a writer on this show is taking a course in, “how to answer a question without actually giving away any answers”? 😆

Look to see what August’s paperweight is. Keep an eye out for that.
As if I wasn’t already impatient enough for the new ep.

The cool thing is that really both of these memories exist at the same time in Mr. Gold’s head; he knows that he is pursuing August and he knows he is remembering his son because, unlike many of our characters, he actually remembers his previous life in fairy tale land.
Can’t wait to see what Robert does with this stuff. I’m predicting awesomeness!

This season finale is one of the best hours of TV I’ve ever seen. It blows the doors off. Garments of people’s clothing are going to fly off from the sheer force of their delight and surprise at what’s going to be revealed in the season finale.
Good thing I’ll be watching it alone in the privacy of my own home then. 😉

Returning Kathryn solves a lot of problems for David and Mary Margaret, in that Mary Margaret is not going to be subject to capital punishment, so that helps them. Your relationship is a lot better when one of you has not been executed for crimes they didn’t commit.
Indeed! 😆

So much for my idea that Kathryn would remember fairytale land! Oh well.
Maybe she does but doesn’t know how to tell anyone.
I’d love to believe that theory, but I’m just sure if I’d believe it, given this scene. She seems far too composed, far too familiar with calling him David and talking about their marriage like she remembers it. So unless she’s working a split personality thing, I don’t think she could be Abigail.
Love the scene of Rumple and Bae. YAY for him having saved the children from war, just like he said he would. Was hoping that would happen. Wonder if that maid is gonna end up being anyone of significance, or if she was just there to show how they’ve moved up in the classes now. No longer poor, Rumple actually has a housemaid to help out. Wonder if he’s always had one, various girls coming and going over the centuries, right up until Belle.

In the first scene, it feels like David is finally becoming a better man by apologizing to Kathryn for cheating on her. Let’s hope it remains that way, and he’d better not fall for Regina’s attempt to seduce him.
Yes, he IS becoming a better man. Owning up to his mistakes, taking responsibility. This makes me positive that any attempt Regina makes to crack onto him will be doomed to fail. He’s not gonna make a similiar mistake again.

ParticipantI definitely see potential for Emma and August to be a great romantic pairing. But Emma had some mad (pardon the pun) chemistry with Jefferson. Dunno who else they could pair him up with really, except maybe Regina. People have speculated they were perhaps a couple at some point in FTL history.

ParticipantI just can’t wait until the issue of his identity is finally resolved. Whoever he is, I just want them to tell us nooooooooowwwwwwww! *head desk* 😆

ParticipantCan I just say that it’s some brilliant planning on their part to have the ep called “The Return” be the first ep back when the show returns after a 3 week break. 😉
Not that I’m counting the days until I get my next fix or anything. 🙄

ParticipantYeah, and this happened centuries before the curse, so if this vortex drags Bae to our world, he’d be long dead. If they want Bae to be in our current day timeline at all, there will need to be some explanation of how he’s lived so long. That’s why I think he ended up in Neverland as Peter Pan, and I think this scene will show how he ended up there.
If in future seasons they develop the ability to travel between worlds, (which Jefferson has possibly done via Emma’s hat), Mr Gold could go on a search for his son. My theory on why Rumple made the curse involves him ridding himself of the Dark One curse, which we’ll see him promise to Bae in this ep. As he’s now rid of that curse, I believe he’d jump at the opportunity to find Bae so he can show him he kept the promise, and they can be reunited.

The thing is that when i think of what the Queen of Hearts does it is cut people’s heads off and not take people’s hearts.
I think Regina has the ability to take hearts because she stole that power from Cora. So in Wonderland, Cora had to learn a new trademark trick because she can’t take hearts anymore, and started taking people’s heads instead. But because of her history of taking hearts in FTL, that’s why she chose to call herself QoH in Wonderland.

When I first read all these new calls I thought I had missed something on the podcast last night, but listened this a.m. and Wonderland wasn’t even talked about. Wondered where the influx of Wonderland calls came from, though.Hope K&H have more Wonderland planned for next season to answer everyone’s Wonderland calls.
😆 I was reading another forum where someone suggested QoH could be Snow’s mother, then they elaborated that maybe Cora was QoH sister. As I think that Cora IS QoH, I started thinking about it and come up with this whole potential storyline around Cora being QoH and Snow’s mother being her estranged sister, the White Queen. I mean, really, Snow White is a pretty odd name to give to your child, unless you’re the White Queen, then it totally fits. 😉

One of the things that I noticed when Regina went to Wonderland and was talking about the Queen of Hearts was that she seemed to be talking about her with an annoyance in her voice – not in a manner I would expect her to be speaking if she were talking about her mother. I think she feared her mother when she was young and then hated her when she was older. I don’t think there was ever a time where she was simply annoyed by her.
To be annoyed with someone I think you have to be either their equivalent in terms in status but have them challenging your position, or they need to be someone who is simply constantly driving you crazy.
My theory depends on Regina having been the one who sent Cora to Wonderland, where she set up camp as QoH. If Regina eventually gained the power to overthrow her mother, strip her of her powers, (they both use the same tricks, so I think Regina stole her initial powers from her mother), and banished her to another land, then I could totally see her attitude having evolved from being fearful of her to merely being annoyed by her.
@hjbau wrote:
I think it seems like the Queen of Hearts is Regina’s mother. The actor is different though. I am not sure what that means.
Dunno that this is technically a spoiler because it’s just about a cast member from an already aired ep, and that info is out there for everyone to see, but just in case, I think they just had a “filler actress” for Hat Trick. So many people knew that Barbara Hershey would be playing Regina's mother in a future ep, so having her name in the credits as QoH would have blown the whole massive reveal that they're not ready to make yet. Even with her face covered and voice muffled to hide her identity, her name in the credits would NOT have gone unnoticed. Also, they wouldn't wanna pay a huge amount to Barbara if she's just gonna sit there for a few minutes and not be seen or heard in that ep, so casting a bit part actor as a stand in instead just makes good business sense. That's why, like I said, I thought the elephant appearance was a reference to “the elephant in the room”, which means something obvious that no one brings attention to by addressing it.

Remember now there are 4 queens in the Alice stories (Wonderland and thru the Looking Glass). Queens’ of Hearts, White and Red. One of them ended up being Alice herself. Alice at the end of Looking Glass was crowned queen after reaching the eight rank and checkmating the red king.
Number of queens in the original story doesn’t mean much because on this show they blend characters. I mean, since when has the Genie also been the Mirror, and Rumple is Belle’s Beast. In the Tim Burton version of Alice, QoH and White Queen were feuding sisters, if memory serves, so there’s every chance they could go down a similar path, or any new path, with those characters on Once.
