This makes sense to me, only I think there might be an added twist.

I think Mother Superior remembers and I think she orchestrated Emma and Bae crossing paths to throw a curve ball at Gold because she doesn’t trust what he will choose to do with his power.

I think one of the purposes of the Blue Fairy on the show is to point out that Good and Bad is all a matter of reference point. Kind of like observing the Good Witch and the Bad Witch in the Wizard of Oz and then going to see Wicked on Broadway. Same characters – totally different point of view.

Sometimes the Blue Fairy does things that make sense and sometimes she does things that baffle me and seem downright mean. I think she is just like Rumple in a lot of ways, only we have been conditioned to look at her from a “good” point of view. But if her goal is for “good” to prevail – she is willing to do whatever it takes to make that happen, even if she has to do something hurtful along the way.

I think when she realized that Rumple had found a way to enact the curse she managed to get Emma and Bae together but then found a way to pull them apart before Bae knew that Emma was pregnant. She wouldn’t care if it appeared to Emma that Bae was a loser – she just cares about the end game.

I also think we have been underestimating her own quest for spot #1 on the most powerful list. In the Dreamy episode, I thought she was just being condescending to Nova when she laughed at her when Nova said she wanted to be a Fairy Godmother. Now I think she was trying to lower her self-esteem to make sure she didn’t become a more powerful fairy than she is.

I will be very interested to see how they handle this situation.

I have now had two of my friends who have adopted children talk to me about their concerns about last night’s episode. One has a son my age who asked his mom “Can that really happen?” when Emma confronted Regina and told her she was going to get her son back. The other has a younger child who doesn’t watch the show but didn’t like how it was handled at all.

I find this especially interesting considering that one of the stats they quoted at Paley Fest was that OUaT is the number one show that parents watch with their kids. This is a really difficult topic to put in a show that families are watching together.

    FAVORITE MOMENTS:

Everything Robert Carlyle was in – especially the scene where Bae was trying to pull him into the votex with him. And then when it shut and Rumple starting digging – wow! That one got me. And the scene with Dr. Hopper, I thought he did a great job with that one – you never see Gold let his guard down in SB.

When Emma called Regina a sociopath – one of the all time best moments on the show so far, in my opinion.

All the scenes with Bae – I think that kid is a GREAT actor.

When Henry gave MM her card at the party and said “The whole class signed it.”

    LEAST FAVORITE MOMENTS:

DAVID 🙄 : It’s sad that I say “Oh, no” and cringe when he just appears on screen, before he has even said or done anything.

Sidney – I’m over him too, but I think that’s supposed to be how they want us to feel.

I was kind of let down that they never really addressed how they dealt with finding Kathryn and MM getting out of jail, etc. – it seemed very glossed over to me.

I know I am probably the only one who didn’t like this part but when Emma told Regina she was going to take Henry away from her. I am really and truely hoping they give us something that makes me feel better about that whole plot line – like Emma really didn’t choose to give Henry up for adoption, she was forced to and didn’t really sign the papers or something.

We have friends that have a son my son’s age (10) and she texted me this morning to say that they really struggled with the ending of the show last night. He got concerned and asked her “can that really happen?” after Emma confronted Regina. So they pointed out that it is just a made up show but now they are trying to decide whether they should allow him to watch the show anymore. They have been struggling with the Regina vs. Emma as parent issue since the beginning of the show anyway.

A scene from an upcoming show that I wan't thrilled about but will need to see it in context. The part where Henry appeared to be getting into Regina's face about how she will be defeated. Having a 10 year old son we don't like shows where the kids talk back to their parents so I wasn't happy to see that. My son has been watching the show with me so far and loves it so I'm a bit concerned about where this whole thing is headed with Henry and Regina. I know it's just a show but kids are influenced by what they see on TV and even if she is supposed to be the EQ, using that an excuse to make it okay for Henry to be disrespectful to Regina could pose a bit of a problem for us.

The way he talked about finding out who his character is made it sound like his character is God. I will seriously laugh if we have been debating whether August is Pinocchio, Bae, The Wizard of Oz, etc. – and he ends up being . . . GOD. I’m obviously not serious because he referred to his character as a “character” and I highly doubt that he would refer to God as a character but I honestly did have to re-read his description of finding out who he is a few times because he made it sound so profound!

Sometimes people round up or down when they are talking about how old they are if they are close to one age or another. I’m technically 39 but I’ll be 40 the end of June so if I’m referring to my age I will typically say that I am 40 since it’s not far off. Maybe Emma did the same thing.

Given that “dying” in SB doesn’t seem to mean what it means in other towns in the US, as evidenced by Kathryn’s recent events, I guess any of the characters could “die” before the end of the season and be back as strong as ever for season 2!

But at least I can happily visualize Mr. Gold in his Rockstar Pimp FTL attire . . .

If August is Pinocchio the mental jump from the leather clad bad boy on the motorcycle to the puppetty kid in the little buttoned leederhosen . . . awkward 😕

For some reason I’m having “Old School” images of Will Farrell running down the street in his birthday suit, only in this case I’m seeing August as a grown man with hairy legs in the little short, shorts and the tiny feathered hat singing a baritone version of “I’ve Got No Strings.” 😯

Do my husband and son count??

My husband watches but doesn’t get into the podcast or board stuff (although he has considered getting a screen name because he would like to be the Keeper of Ruby’s red shorts – with Ruby in them!! 🙄 ).

My son watches and listens to the podcasts with me but I won’t let him get on the boards (he’s only 10) – but he is as obsessed with the show as I am!

On a side note . . . my husband and son also watch “Dance Moms” with me 😆 . My son is a ballet dancer so he and his friends all tweet during the show because they can’t stand competition dancing (no offense to any comp moms out there – my son did that for a year as well!).

I keep thinking that they are going to throw something at us that is going to stop Emma from believing. It seems like suddenly everything is going along a little too easily in terms of Emma starting to believe. First Henry is able to get MM’s door open with Regina’s keys, then Emma sees Jefferson and Grace in the book after the whole Mad Hatter experience. Something just seems a bit “off” to me. Obviously she knows that something isn’t right is SB but it seems like the leap from “things here are really weird” to “I’m surrounded by Fairy Tale characters and my parents are Snow White and Prince Charming” is HUGE – even with something like Henry’s book. It just seems like things just started to travel in the right directions a little too quickly and easily all of a sudden. I guess part of what I am also having trouble overcoming is what happens when Emma does believe in the curse??? Even though I would really like to see that happen and it appears to be headed in that direction – I just have a strange feeling about it.

Oh, thank goodness!!! I was beginning to wonder if she was going to be one of the three little pigs or something . . . 😆
