KeymasterI doubt the ship will sink given that its Rumpel and Belle and its like saying Snow and Charming will break up. It just wont happen.
See, I don’t think the writers see those two ships in the same way. They’ve always had very definitive stances on those two; in sum—
Snowing: it would be the end of hope (if they broke up)
Rumbelle: Well, Rumple is a very difficult man to love and he’s like a drug addict and he’s addicted to power.
I could quite easily see them breaking up Rumbelle forever either by death or Rumple and Belle just going their separate ways because neither will budge an inch. I just don’t think for whatever reason–they like Dark Rumple more, the don’t see the Rumbelle appeal, they are bad writers–that the writers are invested in this ship at all except as a contrast to other ships. There’s normal and even high fantasy relationship drama. And then there’s Rumbelle.

Keymaster3×05 Thoughts!
GENERAL: This episode wasn’t as good as the past two weeks and I blame that largely on keeping the Mad Hatter out of the picture for most of the episode. He’s a fun watch, like Jerome of S2. However, the pace didn’t exactly slow down through most of Nygma and Oswald’s interactions which always have a zany overtone.
LIKED
–The queer subtext that is Nygmoblepott. I don’t feel baited and it doesn’t feel token or cheap. Maybe because Ed so clearly does believe in Oswald and because Oswald really does depend on and respect Ed…? I mean the final scene at the end felt like something out of a rom-com! But seriously, after the disservice to Penguin last year it’s nice to have him with a story and partner that compliment him.
–I *love* Ed Nygma; I’m glad the show is giving him a story that lets his ego shine.
–“Was insane; I have a certificate”
–“Your zipper’s down.”
–Mulan and Jim’s chemistry is a welcome relief to any sort of Jim and Lee drama that I find exhausting and predictable.
–The fight at the party was well done.
MIXED
–I often don’t care about Baby!Batman because I think he’s too involved in a story that’s supposed to be *pre* Batman but there’s something sweet and almost nostalgic about Jim and Bruce working together.
–Barbara is fascinating! But can we please ditch Tabitha already?
–Villains who speak in rhyming couplets really are the worst.
DISLIKED
–Butch being in charge of the Red Hood gang. I think I could care if I cared about Butch but he’s always felt so lacking in the character department. He’s a flunky looking for a boss to follow.
–Everything that is Ivy’s storyline. My god–what is the point?! And why am I supposed to care?
–Speaking of pointless storylines…I also don’t care about whatever is happening to Barnes.

KeymasterWho is Arnold? Is he in fact the Man in Black (in that photo, which one is Arnold? The man on the right?)
I also couldn’t tell which one was Arnold which I think was intentional. The young actor we did see briefly looked strikingly like Anthony Hopkins but the way the character reacted to the Host waking up (almost like fatherly pride) doesn’t match how Ford presented himself this week with his demonstration (unless that was a ploy because his reactions to Hosts keep changing depending on who’s in the room and the context of the scene).
The Stray self-destructed by way of giant boulder — was that a reaction to having the park’s staff attempt to take his head? In that sense, was that simply an act of suicide, or was he trying to destroy evidence? Was he told to do this by the voice?
I noticed a common theme with the Hosts so far: desire for freedom, to escape their current situation (or at least the narrative situation they think they are living–none of them are yet aware of Westworld). Teddy and Dolores both want to leave and travel “out there” together having the life they’ve always dreamed of (were implanted with…); Maeve tells her backstory in this iteration of leaving her country and coming to America; The Stray suddenly got an idea and tried to leave his story–what was the idea? Was it some sort of self aware moment?

KeymasterSupergirl 2×2
Don’t have a lot to say but…
–I loved every single minute of this episode
–Goodbye Cat. I’m sure we’ll meet again, though.
–Superman, you’ll be missed. He was fantastic the past two episodes

Keymaster–So Lucy broke up with the fiancee. If Flynn is her son (seems like a popular theory?) then who is the father?
Matt Lanter voices Anakin Skywalker, so…
Yes after this last episode it does seem like the show might go down the romantic path for Lucy and Wyatt.
