ParticipantLet’s see now….one thing for sure about this Season 7…every ship is officially dead. Snowing are gone, Rumbelle is gone, OutlawQueen’s been gone, & CaptainSwan will be gone. With all ships sunk, that leaves room to focus storylines solely on the characters’ (both new & past) development. Our list of characters so far confirmed are Regina, Rumple, & Hook….and if Bex is coming back, that will include Zelena, therefore the main list will be mainly anti-heroes/villains. With Andrew West coming aboard, I know we all speculate he’s playing Adult Henry, and with Jared’s exit, that seems all the more likely….however I can’t help but feel there’s a small chance he’s playing adult, Prince Neal, whom to me seems like the next best candidate for the role of Savior considering he’s born out of the same true love as his older sister, who may or may not be deceased at this point. However with the Savior Mythology being as muddled as it has been this last season….what typically makes a Savior a Savior? What if the next season literally has no Savior this time, and that’s the purpose of Season 7…finding a new Savior? Maybe that’s why JMo would be appearing in the premiere, to send Adult Henry/Adult Prince Neal on his path to find the new Savior.
so you’re with me on the next Saviour, then as per my post.
The theory that Emma tasks Henry with finding the next saviour is a good one, but I don’t think they will spend a whole season on it *shudder*

ParticipantRevised theory
Emma absorbs BF’s magic, rendering the BF free from its shackles/ allowing her to be saved and be together with her family like she has always wanted.
Emma of course survives this absorption, but is no longer the saviour, because her final task is done.

BlockedSure CaptainSwan is no more, but the Hook fan base is fairly extensive and Colin has a very big fanbase.
The CS and Hook fanbase are the same thing and many refuse to watch after Sunday.
And yet there was a petition going around asking ABC for a Hook centric prequel staring Colin. Now maybe that’s a small portion of that selected fanbase but the idea that they’re totally going to drop the show doesn’t quite scan because they obviously like the idea of Colin/Hook, Emma or no. Especially if Hook’s story has something to do with saving Emma. Reading through comments on SpoilerTV and Twitter, yes many are saying they are done, but many others are saying they’ll give it a go if A and E does right by the ship by having the story be about the ship (ie: Emma’s in trouble, missing, pregnant and under a sleeping curse).
Most CS fans I know are scared of what a S7 can do to CS. Destroy the last 6 seasons when they just got married, now they kill Emma or end CS. That would just be so cruel and horrible.
What are the chances that you think they’re not gonna destroy CS?

That’s an interesting thought. I wonder if they’d put both Belle and Emma under sleeping curses and have Rumple and Hook’s arc be about working together to save the women they love. I could see A&E not being able to pass up having centuries-long enemies working in tandem and developing a CaptainGold? friendship in parallel to Wicked Sisters.

ParticipantI’m anxious to see what next season will look like. I like the idea of a grown up Henry carrying on the show. I’m very cautiously optimistic – it may not be good, but I’m giving it a chance. What confuses me the most is how there will be a sense of closure for Emma in the finale. With the way the show has been written how can she have her HEA if she’s separated from possibly Henry, her parents and Hook? I’m all for a reboot, but I don’t see how they can give us the closure they’ve promised. I hope I’m pleasantly surprised.

Keymasterwhat the heck is there to watch for? Nothing.
It depends on what people like, I suppose.
Sure, Emma’s not there but Regina is.
Sure Rumbelle is gone, but a lot of people love Rumple on his own.
Sure CaptainSwan is no more, but the Hook fan base is fairly extensive and Colin has a very big fanbase.
Sure, the Savior is gone, but Henry is having his own adventure and there’s (maybe) a new Savior.
@AKA made a pretty comprehensive list of why people might actually watch, the curiosity factor aside. I’m not saying the show is going to rocket back to the 4.0 it had in 1×01 but I don’t think people are going to write off the show in large swaths. Just look at the small sample here at OncePodcast forums–no one has said that they are, hands down, not going to watch, except perhaps you.

ParticipantWow you guys are being negative about this. The show has needed a reboot, and maybe it will be horrible but maybe it will recapture what we loved in season 1-3. Couple of things I do know and am happy about.
1. Obviously Rumple is not dying unless all his scenes take place in flashbacks or they are in the wish realm
2. If they are in the Wish realm we get to see fat drunk Hook again unless they make him go on a diet and stop drinking
3. While I like the chemistry between Snow and Charming, they really have not done much in a long time and Snow can be very judgmental and hypocritical
4. No more Emma being completely OOC
5. As for Belle leaving I guess we will have to wait and see. I think it was not that long ago that everyone said that Rumple’s character was being completely killed off (I guess that was wrong)
6. Maybe we will get back to the premise of the show which is fairy tale characters (not just Disney but all fairy tale characters) and how they all interact with each other and how their stories are not exactly what we think. I could totally go for that
I think I will know more about how I will feel about this new season after the finale, but as of right now I am kind of excited at least I will get to discuss the show for another year.

ParticipantI still don’t get how they can lose most of their female leads and continue on. Regina, alone, is not enough to carry this show. Also, all villains. I don’t really like villains, especially the ones on this show which are really inconsistent and because of that have little depth.
At least Hook fans have to deal with a show without Emma. Thank goodness all that nonsense is over.

BlockedI cannot wait to watch the ratings for this trash. Oh my God it will be so entertaining. 0.5 for the premiere calling it.
The thing with reboots is that a lot of people end up tuning in to the first episode (or two) just “to see.” Now, they usually flock elsewhere (look at Sleepy Hollow’s ratings for its final season) but initially people are curious enough to tune in. So, I’ll say that the opening will get at least a .7, possibly a .8 and go from there.
Without Snowing, Emma, Belle, Henry.. I highly doubt it.
This reboot makes no sense. So you’re going to get rid of literally every single character that makes these three characters whom they are.
That makes these three characters compelling three dimensional characters. Now they’re just gonna be what?
This is a disaster in the making. What is Regina without Snowing or Henry? What is Rumple without Belle? What is Hook without his freaking wife he just married Emma?
Plus these three characters hate each other and they never interact…this just seems pointless.
