There’s not really proof for any of the other options either, though. They’ve been very careful to keep everything about his character closed up and quiet. No pictures from set. No cast tweets talking about working with him… I haven’t even seen local fans twitters about seeing MJR popping up anywhere….sort of weird: he has been there for a week or more? Could he be shooting a lot in the green studios??? Or are they just that good at messing with us? 😆
Yes, I have to give them a lot credit for keeping spoilers about MRJ to a minimum. I’m just worried though that it will turn into another August situation if they drag out the mystery too long, and fans ended up not liking the character because of it.
I hope that Emma and Snow return soon too because I don’t want them to be gone for over half the season. However, if they are gone for awhile, you’re right, it would give MRJ’s character plenty of time to stay on the scene as a mysterious character like Peter, Jack, and/or Bae and then reveal he’s Henry’s dad when Emma returns.
I still hope he turns out to be Jack, but I’m prepping myself for him to be Peter. Although, if he is Jack, maybe he could befriend Henry by telling him stories about what it was like for him to go through a vortex like the one that Henry’s mother and grandmother disappeared into.
Even if he’s Jack or Peter but really Bae, if Emma and Snow are traveling through time like I believe they are, I’m even more convinced now that Bae could have picked up enough knowledge about Fairy Tale Land to write Henry’s book if he went on a similar journey that Emma and Snow are on. Of course, being the writer of the book will be something else that he can bond with Henry on.

ParticipantWhen I look back to early summer, where the creators said their favorite fairytales were Snow White and Peter Pan, I now have no idea why I didn’t assume Neverland would be HUGE in the show!
Still undecided about the whole MRJ thing, though. I really didn’t think Henry’s dad would appear 3 episodes in. But, this might actually be the perfect timing! When Emma sees Henry’s dad (be him an average joe, Baelfire, or other) the audience is going to know based on her reaction/treatment of the new stranger. With Emma and Snow having some…quality time in another realm, this might be the perfect chance for the audience and Henry to interact with the guy – setting up for all hell to break loose whenever Snow and Emma get back.
Kind of see him as Peter because I’d be shocked and excited to see where they take the story. But, honestly, there isn’t much to support this idea besides the episode focusing on Rumple, Belle, and Hook. Yeah, it kind of make sense looking at the episode but if we’ve learned anything from August it’s how long they can drag-out before a reveal or a focused episode. Knowing that he’ll be off and on through May: that leaves time to keep him a mystery.

ParticipantWhy do all the good spoilers seem to come out when I’m working? I have a lot to catch up on.
First, after this recent spoiler from TV Line, http://tvline.com/2012/08/21/ask-ausiello-spoilers-on-glee-once-upon-castle-revenge-greys-himym-gossip-girl-and-more/,
Something will happen this season that will ensure Mary Margaret and Emma get a lot of mother-daughter bonding time, whether they like it or not. Bonus clue: Think Lost.
,
I’m definitely thinking that Michael Raymond-James is going to be Peter Pan now not Jack.
Well actually I think he’s Bae, but Bae will turn out to be Peter Pan not Jack from “Jack and the Beanstalk” like I thought. It just makes too much sense right now just like how I tried to ignore August being Pinocchio despite all the evidence that was mounting up until that reveal.
1. Captain Hook and Smee are being connected to Rumple, Bae’s dad.
2. We have pictures of a tree fort/swing set that a lot of people are speculating is a Neverland set.
3. Michael Raymond-James started filming around the third episode of the show, and his character will be someone that will be around for at least season 2.
4. Emma and Snow White might be lost like “lost boys”. From early spoiler pictures, it seems like they fell into a vortex similar to the one that Bae fell into.Okay, it’s not really a lot of evidence, but it does seem to point towards him being Peter more than it does him being Jack right now.

ParticipantYeah, they can do it without having to destroy the other guy. Just have it not work out between the two of them. I always think that is more interesting anyways. I don’t like the new guy with no name though so i hope it isn’t him, but he may grown on me.

ParticipantLancelot wouldn’t be bad–but he already has a True Love. Although since this is Love Interest, both he and Emma may try an attempt out of attraction and the need for comfort and company.

Right, you said that well Lil’Red. That there could be a guy and it just not work out, but not because of some horrible emotional awful break up or because someone cheats or any of those reasons, just have it not work out because it isn’t right for them. Because that does happen and that would stop the need for that part of Emma’s story, if there is a love triangle, to be like some crazy over dramatic situation. I just think that whomever Emma’s first love interest in the show is, i just wouldn’t get attached to him.
What annoys me the most in television is when they build up a character (usually male) to be seemingly ideal for a main character, but then destroy him: making him as unlikeable as possibly before they bring in a new guy. And I know I’ve dumped someone before who was a nice guy, who didn’t cheat on me, just because ‘it’ wasn’t there. Felt guilty for awhile, but now both of us are happier for it. There has to be a way to do this in a show. It’s not like war, magic, etc. doesn’t have enough tension/drama that a romantic sub-plot needs to fuel the show.
At Hannah, I like the idea: not sure it will last long term, but he could be an interesting first attempt for Emma’s adult-dating life.
Let’s see: the new male cast members are:Jack, Beaman, Hook, Phillip, spotted Smee possibility, Lancelot…and I think I'm missing someone…..
Wouldn’t mind HOOK flirting a bit with Emma. Probably not the best ‘first real relationship’ contender, but could be funny.

ParticipantYes! I’m so excited for next season and these posters are so amazing! I love how they really focus on the apple in each one, except for the one with Emma and the sword which is equally amazing, perhaps even more so.

ParticipantI know Lancelot had this whole thing going on with Guinevere, but is anyone else thinking that maybe he could be a new love interest for Emma? Jennifer Morrison did say there would be a new love interest this season, and as far as I can tell Lancelot could be perfect for that. He seems like he’ll have some issues to work through, but at the same time is a really good and honorable person, kind of like Graham was, and we all know he and Emma were great together. So… maybe? I’d say it’s possible.

ParticipantI guess this counts as a spoiler… Personally, I think Emma's new love interest could be Lancelot for two reasons. 1. I believe Jennifer Morrison did confirm that there would be a new love interest this season and they were working on casting him. 2. They have since case the Lancelot character, the only single non-evil male character to be cast since then. I could be wrong, but then again it’s a definite possibility.

ParticipantEmma with the sword was awesome. This really shows how she may be accepting her role as The Savior. Her stance, the grip on the sword, says it all. The maigc swirling around is also cool. I’m guessing Regina will be relying on her old friend this season. 😀
