Hmmm…I’m going to go with a more Hercules sort of Title considering this is the Underworld Arc.

I’m going with “A Star Is Born” where Emma fully embraces her role as the Savior. No more questioning it, no more self doubts….she realizes that she is the most powerful light magic user and decides to step up to the plate and fulfill her duty as Savior. This is where Emma Swan becomes full on Savior Swan!

And I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if they have Zeus draw Emma’s face in the stars much like he did for Hercules in the movie. But yeah…I’m going with A Star Is Born.

Emma lost her savior status the moment she kissed hook. Untill then she was a savior. She saved everyone from cora, she saved the town from the diamond she saved Regina from the wraith, hooks ship from the mermaids etc. But the moment she kissed hook, all she became was a whiner. Im the savior! I never get a day off! Meanwhile, Regina saved everyone. Emma was useless. Rumple saved everyone. Emma was useless. Regina saved everyone again and again, and Emma was nothing but a whining toddler. That is why Rumple was so disappointed when she did not choose to send her powers to the hat. She was very powerful, but did nothing with her powers because she was hook’s girl. If she had the sense to give up her powers, hook might have broken up with her, as the price of losing her magic i guess maybe he only wanted her because of her powers, but she woukd become an ordinary person. Because she didnt so this, because she didnt let the hat suck out her powers, she turned to darkness. Because Power currupts, weather its light or dark power, it currupts. Gold was hoping she would choose not to have power. As the true hero he thought she was. He created a savior. Hook distroyed the savior. Good thing he had a back up plan for a savior. Regina.

I think the season that really did a disservice to Emma’s savior status is 3B, and not just because of Hook, but because of Regina as well. They made such a huge deal about Emma being the only one who can defeat Zelena, they sacrificed Charming and casted the dark curse only for her to do absolutely nothing, it was all given to Regina in the most rushed and ridiculous way, she could have done that in the EF, no curse needed. Of course the manipulative writing makes sure to inform us that “Emma defeated Pan, Emma defeated Zelena” as Hook states in 322. You can’t argue that, it was in the script. Ultimately, the writer’s main goal in 3B was 1) Pair Emma with Hook. 2) Redeem Regina. Both goals did a disservice to all of the characters and my reason to hate this season so much.

Season 4 didn’t make Emma’s savior status so small compared to season 3B because she did try to help others get their “Happy Ending” (by others I mean Elsa because Ratings and Regina because main characters don’t deal with consequences for things they did. No Marian, you don’t get a “Happy Ending”, you’re not important enough. All you get is hate for being alive).

Of course, Regina saved the town 10 +- times, but it is conveniently forgotten in 502 because of plot.

My guess:

“Apotheosis” –Emma’s journey as the hero/savior is complete in her return from the Underworld having saved someone from Death (both literally and from the character of Hades, whom she defeats) and her Savior Status is affirmed with her being the most potent magic wielder in all the realms.

Wow. Ok.  I’ll post this and then I’ll get off this thread for good.

This seems to be directed right at me.  I can’t stress enough that I am not a CS shipper.  I am not a shipper period.  This thread has gone off topic for sure.  But as you pointed out, I think it’s because the show is off the air at the moment.  I am not trying to persuade anyone.  I simply was talking about the Savior’s actions as it relates to her character and her current status with Hook (whom she said she loves multiple times now), which was brought up by someone else.  Once again, not trying to start a ship war at all.  I am not praising CS, I am not arguing against SF.  I am not persuading people that their ship is wrong.  I literally could care less about the ships.  That’s why I felt comfortable posting in this thread, even if at times, it got a little off topic.  But now, I absolutely DO NOT feel comfortable posting here and likely never will again.  There are clearly some sour grapes still in this thread, so much so that even though I clearly do not support either ship, and have said this multiple times, and have never told people they were wrong or tried to put down SF, I am getting called out for persuading people that they are wrong and that CS is the best.  If anything, I miss Neal.  I think that Emma’s relationship with him was better for the show.  And yet, I’m getting called out for attempting to start shipping fighting, even though I’ve never said one is better than the other.  Because again, I don’t care.  I comment based on what I see on the show.  I see that Emma claims she loves Hook now, so based on how the writers are writing the character, I was making a comment about what I feel would be heroic actions for The Savior.  How that prompted a shipping lecture and a warning, I have no clue.

Also, I never called anyone’s intellect into question. I was just curious as to the reasons why people still watched the show if they were that upset with it.  I think this was a pretty unnecessary attack here.

What I am guilty of is continuing topics in this thread that don’t directly pertain to SF.  So from now on, if I have something to say, I will not post it here.  It just seemed everyone was posting stuff here that was a little off topic so I didn’t think it was a big deal since the show was on hiatus.  But consider me off this thread for good as I no longer feel welcome anymore.

She became obssessive with a man to the point she’s willing to endanger her family and leave Storybrooke unprotected (she’s the savior of this town, doesn’t that mean anything anymore?), all of this she does for a guy, that’s being selfish towards every other character in this show. A strong character wouldn’t have gone to the underworld, she would have delt with the loss and let her family be there for her.

Ok, but the town isn’t in danger right now.  And can you blame her for wanting to try and save someone she loves?  Someone who’s death she blames herself for?  As far as I know, she didn’t ask her family to come with her.  They all just sort of went.  I think a strong character WOULD go to the UW if she knew there was even a slight chance of saving the love of their life.  Just accepting it and not trying to do anything about it, when you know there is a chance, is losing hope, which this show loves so much, and basically giving up.  If she’s the savior, GO SAVE YOUR LOVE.  The town is fine.  I think it’s important to note that Emma being The Savior always meant she was going to save “them” (her family, friends, etc.).  They all happened to be residing in storybrooke.  But she is not the Savior of the town.  She is the savior of the people she loves.  She is going to bring the happy endings.  She saved them by killing Hook.  Now the town is fine.  So go get your happy ending with Hook.

Oh no, i think Emma has been really different for awhile. she’s not the same person and i know characters can grow and change, i think emma’s growth stopped after the save henry arc. like someone said previously about emma, its as if her development is going through a loop without progression, that every season she gets reset. Emma used to be awesome. She borders on annoying sometimes, to me. Most of the characters have shades of this nowadays to varying degrees..
