you know what the writers could do, is introduce us to part of August’s back story, like a teaser and give us the rest sometime in season 2.

Oooo I like that. I mean, I’ll be furious when I watch it but only because I want to freaking know who he is.

    I thought of something else:

In the scene where Henry is using the walkie talkie to talk in code to Emma, the bathroom is right behind him. Even if Henry were whispering into the walkie talkie, you don’t think Regina could have been eavesdropping on that whole conversation and that’s how she knew to replace the shovel before Emma showed up the next day with the warrant? (The Stable Boy.)
Which backs up August’s defense that he didn’t tell on Emma.

There was a bug in the flowers. That right there explained how she knew. Sydney planted it (no pun intended) in her office to “brighten up the place”.

The plant was a plant. LOL I felt so dumb for not immediately guessing that when Sidney walked in so randomly. When Emma picked it up later I was all, “Oh DUH!” We’ll just blame it on the curse making my perception hazy, yes? πŸ˜‰

Note: I don’t necessarily disagree with you. But I like playing devil’s advocate. πŸ˜‰

Sometimes hair color changes from when kids are little to when they’re grown up. I was very, very blond. (I’m not now.) And there’s always dye. If August had hair that was such a striking red/chestnut, I could defnitely see him covering it up. People remember hair like that.

Also .. he could be Pinocchio without Gepetto purposefully sending him through the tree. What if he was carved from it and still had a sort of connection to it? Voila … dumped suddenly in the Real World just like Emma.

(To be honest, I’m starting to believe he’s neither Pinocchio nor Bae … nor Henry’s father. I’m not sure who he is, but I like all the ideas!)

I was also very blonde as a child and now my hair is definitely brown, but red hair may deepen and become less red, but i don’t think that you ever lose a little bit of redness. And the freckles may lighten, but not be gone completely. I just don’t think the two actors look anything alike at all.

I also voted that i think August is someone else. Not Bae. Not Pinocchio. Certainly not Henry’s father. I think as of now Bae is the most likely, but i am still hoping he is just someone else.
