Oh, just found the video of him using his hook…. I’m trying to figure out if the dialogue is different when he catches up to her…
[adrotate group="5"]August 16, 2014 at 8:09 am #280259obisgirlParticipantAnd if Hook leaving her in the jail bothered her more, we’d hear about it. Jen would say so in interviews. Has she said so? Nope.
Has she talked about Neal leaving her and how that affected her? Yes. Plenty of times.
Emma realizes her mistake in leaving Hook behind. She knows she made a bad judgement call. If she hadn’t left Hook, he wouldn’t have been with Cora.
Its either Adam or Eddy who says this on the finale commentary, but the guys pretty much confirm that Hook reminded her of Neal and Emma could see herself falling for Hook, which is why she left Hook behind on the beanstalk in Tallahassee.

And if the haters actually watched the clip instead of judging on perhaps the gift I saw of it you can clearly hear the director calls ‘cut’ immediately after he grabbed her arm. So obviously they didn’t think it was right. They rehearsed Hook grabbing Emma’s arm with his hook then went back inside to get another take.
I’m getting sick to death of ignorant people spouting absolute bullocks about things they jump to conclusions to feed their hate campaign. :@I don’t see anything wrong with Hook grabbing Emma’s arm (I can see why they didn’t have him grab her with the hook because theoretically if he’d misjudged the distance, his Hook could’ve ended up in Emma’s arm.) You can clearly see she’s p***ed at him, and she’s not listening to him. He’s grabbed her arm only to get her to stop walking away from him (and as I think this leads to the kiss, it’s not like Emma’s not consenting to being there). Emma stops and looks at him, she’s not trying to pull away, he’s not trying to drag her back. It is not an aggressive grab. There is no aggression there on Hook’s part. Had he grabbed her aggressively then that’s the time to start being concerned.
As for Hook promoting rape culture, he doesn’t. Especially Season 3 Hook. Season 2 Hook was a bit more full on but even season 3 Hook recognised he didn’t want Emma with that sort of guy and punched himself in the face. Hook isn’t going to force Emma into doing anything sexual that she doesn’t want to do. If any character is on morally dubious ground when it comes to “rape culture” then it’d be Regina and her relationship to Graham. Also Zelena and her control over Rumple. Whilst as far as we know she never tried anything like that, the fact that she had absolute control over Rumple’s physical movements very much held the threat that she could’ve made him do things he didn’t want to do.

Anyway I’ve been thinking… about that possibilyty of Hook getting his hand back. I don’t think he needs it. I mean he’s fine the way he is. Storywise it wouldn’t be such a grate move. However it would be good logistics decision. Hooks pirate garb has helped to conceal any problems they had with his hook and brace( ex. longer left hand). Killian is getting new wordrobe. I doubt he’ll be wearing long sleeves all the time- so there is that. And imagine a sexy scene (if we’ll ever get one). What would they do with Colin’s hand- keep the brace on, put it in a green glove that will add more cost to the budget? It is easier to magiaclly attach his hand again. It could be Rumples doing. Like he was trying to please Hery or prove himsefl to Belle. Kinda show her that his over the whole revenge staff adn it’s time to make amends. Or it could be Emma’s doing. She is a Product of True Love with all that unkown magic. She could do it by accident while still lernnig to control her abilities…Think about it.
August 16, 2014 at 1:19 pm #280271surayyaParticipantThats a really good point re Killy getting his hand back & the logistics of wearing modern clothing- I’d hate to think they’ll dump Killy in turtle necks & long sleeve shirts whenever he is sans jacket …. I mean it didnt really matter in his pirate garb – those buttons exposed more chest with every episode 😉 You make a very good point, it will be more cost effective & easier logistically speaking wardrobe wise, to simply return his hand.
I dont really see Killy’s hook as defining him as a pirate/Captain Hook, so I dont really care either way if he gets his hand back or not, I’m good either way lol.
I know one theory going around is Rumple’s blackmail combined with Henry’s working in the pawn shop might = Rumple forced into giving Killy his hand back ‘to prove the whole ‘revenge thing’ is water under the bridge’ to Belle &/or Henry.
August 16, 2014 at 1:23 pm #280272PriceofMagicParticipantI wouldn’t want Hook to lose the hook otherwise there is nothing that makes him stand out as Captain Hook.

Keeper of FelixAugust 16, 2014 at 1:43 pm #280273Bo-PeepsParticipantAside from the gag-worthy comment that Hook could remind anyone of that dullard Neal, A&E have consistently proven/written that Hook and Emma were made for each other.
They are the intense, passionate SOUL struggling romance couple of ONCE who represent the complex depth of finding and fighting for a genuine love of one’s life.
Neal was a self-centered putz. Hook’s emotional journey and intense devotion to helping Emma believe in herself and open her heart to love again is so hard in large part due to the hideous damage and pain Neal caused for her. Neal was toxic to Emma. Hook is the path to healing her.
It is a difficult and arduous path for both of them. The rewards, however, if they succeed, are SOUL saving and immeasurable.
Until and if Hook gets his hand back, the hook IS his hand, which he has had a tad bit of century experience controlling and using. The only thing aggressive or abusive about the “scene” being discussed is the moronic comments from obsessively immature whiners.
The foul crap that these rape-culture-obsessed dolts are using as a lame excuse for their inabilities to face “fictional” reality and to try and denigrate someone else’s joy only makes them look ugly, mean and troll- pathetic. And frankly, they can p***-off.
And that video you linked,@lady, is splendid!!!! Thank you!

August 16, 2014 at 1:55 pm #280274Bo-PeepsParticipantP.S. I really like the Henry theory as the way Hook regains his hand.
(And it has long been a hook-concealing costuming issue on why we haven’t seen the Captain in modern clothes.)
HOOK will always be Hook to me even without the attachment. The guyliner would be harder to lose (heh) but it is Colin’s intensity, talent and gorgeous face that will keep him forever the pirate! (Said while his theme music plays in my brain)
