Is she holding the genie’s bottle??? She’s destroying it? Whoa…
I think so! And what’s Jafar smashing in the earlier shot? Is that one of the other genie bottles, or just some other random bottle? I know one of the genie vessels he had was a lamp, but wasn’t the other one bottle-ish?

Agreed. They made a point in this ep of once again raising the topic of wishes having consequences, and couple that with the comment about Jafar being locked in a cage.
Jafar’s mother was a healer. She cured many people, according to Jafar and she gave him that ring. A ring he is NEVER without. I think that ring is somehow tied to his ability.
Could well be. There seemed to be symbols engraved around the stone in the ring, so maybe it’s something magical and whoever possesses it can’t die? Jafar’s mother died right after she’d handed it over to him.
Up until this ep, the guy in the cage hasn’t seemed to be a seriously horrible person. But DANG. Dude tried to drown his own son and his only regret in life is that he didn’t hold his head under the water for longer?! HARSH!
I’m happy to accept the reasoning that him having an older son would have switched up who was heir. Illegitimate child or not, Jafar is still of the Sultan’s bloodline, so he gets dibs on the throne. And the Sultan would have to deal with the scandal of it all, and his wife might leave him, and take away the son he already knows and loves. So it was preferable to keep Jafar’s identity a secret. Still, he didn’t have to be quite so harsh in his treatment of him.

I’m late to the party but… Nope. She could be Glinda and Dorothy could have “moved the slippers on” as per the story. Dorothy’s house landed on a different witch and squished her, taking her shoes afterwards. Then she melted the Wicked Witch before meeting Glinda at the end.
That’s what I was saying, that Glinda is really the only Oz Witch option for Rebecca to be potentially playing in present day, because according to the t-word, Dorothy (most likely) dropped the house on the Witch of the East, then defeated the Witch of the West, then moved on with the slippers, all before Jefferson went to Oz, which was way back before Regina even went all EQ.
A Rumbelle engagement would be lovely! 🙂 Maybe after Neal meets Belle and they get along really well, Rumple will start to believe that maybe they can be a real family, and he’ll pop the question.
And I am not liking the word ‘goading’ being used because I feel like that implies something bad and Neal didn’t do anything bad when he told his dad to help David because it was the right thing to do. He didn’t want Emma or her family owing his father anything and IMO he’s right. Rumple should be willing to give this one thing away to show Neal that he means enough to him to do one task debt free. I’m gonna try to trust the writers with this one but they’re on thin ice with me about suddenly making a deal come out of that scene. 🙁
Yeah, I’m with you there. Other people’s posts about how it could play out in a not so horrible manner are making me feel better about it though. It’d be such a massive step back for the Rumple/Neal relationship if he goes and makes a deal anyway, after promising he’d do it for free because it was the right thing to do and his son asked it of him.

It seems like a pretty poor plan all around really. Not only does Regina have lots of mirrors, but it looks like they’re going to see Medusa with nothing to protect themselves except, “Don’t look at her eyes.” Really not the best way for them to have spent their honeymoon.
On that weather thing, I just automatically thought Celsius, because she’s in Canada. But I guess her phone hasn’t been told that they use the better temp scale there. 28 Celsius is lovely and warm. That 39 predicted for Tuesday though, ouch. 😛

Quite possibly! You’d think they’d have kept it under wraps until the promo if they thought it was doable. That’s probably why they announced Chris Gorham’s casting when they did as well. “Well crap, photos of him got leaked, might as well make it official.”
I don’t think Cruella could be a big enough baddie. This next big bad is coming hot on the heels of Pan, so they’ll have to be at least as powerful as him, if not moreso, otherwise they’ll look pretty pathetic. Even without considering the after-Pan factor, I don’t see how Cruella could be a big enough bad to sustain a compelling story for a whole half a season.
The bigger question might be…what does she have against our cast? With whom does her history lay and what’s her issue with our heroes?
