[adrotate group="5"]There were cops in those pics with Hook and Emma. I hadn’t looked too closely at the patch you can see on one of them, but just googled and it’s definitely an NYPD patch. So I guess they were the ones shooting on the steps of the police station too, though the pics we’ve seen of them are in a park, (which I’m now guessing is probably meant to be Central Park).
Did you all see the Swanfire artwork from today’s FanArt Friday? The Lela/Emma and Han/Baelfire pic won.
And I saw a SwanFire emblem on the board as well.The one that won was so fun! 🙂 The other SF piece that was stuck up on the wall, the person who drew that put it up on tumblr the other day. They did it because SQ and CS both have a b/w “logo” for the ship, so she though SF should have one too. Also, I love that MRJ brought up Neal’s love for Emma; Neal inwardly longs for Emma to be able to forgive him, just as Rumple longs for Neal to forgive him. Forgiveness of the father leads the hero on his journey to achieving his goals. If we see Neal start to believe in second chances with his dad, he may be all the more inspired to try for a second chance with Emma and Henry.
Yes, yes, YES! The complexities that are involved with SF understanding, forgiving, and restoring their relationship with each other, are unavoidably wrapped up in each of them understanding, forgiving, and restoring their relationships with their parents. So much so that if they each CAN restore their relationships with their parents, I don’t see how that COULDN’T in turn affect their own relationship with each other. It’s a beautifully layered, interwoven, emotionally complex journey for ALL of them, and I want ALL of those relationships to be resolved in a positive way, because isn’t that what a “happy ending” is all about?
2nd way, its pro CS, and used as mere distraction from the truth that SF is the intended endgame or representation of true love. And if SF is endgame they don’t and will not alert the fandom at all because it would be an uproar. I honestly think SF will happen during the last season or close the last season. Of course I could be wrong, but I am keeping my hope alive! LOL
As much as I have the *grabby hands* for any scrap of a spoiler that will give away SF getting back together, part of me would actually have more hope if they kept that storyline seriously under wraps. The way the CS kiss was spoiled so completely, so far in advance, made it seem like just another plot point in the immediate story, not necessarily an advancement of a grand, over arching theme of the story that’s indicating endgame true love. So the less spoilers I hear about SF, the more hope I actually have. It’s totally backwards logic. 😆
But I think they need to resolve the triangle for sure by the end of the season. And the only way to do that, at least in my view, is let the “non winning” ship be shown why it can’t be endgame. And the only way to do that, short of TLK, is to let Emma try to be with that guy.
For ages, that was how I was sure it would have to play out, but as with any theories for this show, you re-evaluate as you see what actually happens in canon, (eg: seeing the negative turn they’ve taken with Hook at the moment, it makes canon Hookriel less appealing, but my fanon version of Hookriel where he’s not acting like quite such a selfish jerk, still happily lingers on in my brain).
Having seen the way that Emma’s been reacting to Hook, I mean, how many times does she have to say, “Dude, chill, it was just a kiss,” before Hook and everyone watching thinks, “Oh, so it was just a kiss to her.” Taking that into consideration, I think it would be OOC for Emma to change her tune and say, “It was totally more than just a kiss, and I wanna kiss you again and again and again.” I think it’d be more in character for her to stick to her guns and keep putting him in his place. It would also send a better message that no, the overly confident guy doesn’t always have to wear down the girl’s defenses until she gives in, because the girl is the one in charge of who she’s with and who she gives her heart and body to. It would show not only Emma’s strength as a woman who knows herself, but would also serve as character development for Hook when he realises that his time honoured tactics with women maybe aren’t foolproof after all.
So where I used to be of the mind that CS would have to get together and play out in a full sense, I’m now not as convinced. There WILL need to be something in canon that officially, conclusively confirms it if Neal is gonna be her endgame TL, or the fandom debates will never end, but I don’t think that Emma getting with Hook and having the relationship fail need be the thing that proves it.
As an artist maybe some part of him wants to tell his “vision” but ultimately we all know there are so many limits placed upon network TV. Budgets, actors, egos, copyrights, weather, you name it but also, fan reaction.
This is why, even though sometimes I wanna reach into Twitter and slap Adam for some of the stuff he says and some of the people he engages with, at the end of the day, I just feel kinda bad for the guy. Because when you have a creative vision, but you don’t have complete control over it, and you have people tearing it apart constantly…it’s gotta be rough. There are so many different people to please, while still trying to stay true to your personal vision.
Let’s not worry too much. We have a lot of bizarre spoilers but nothing concrete.
Also, there are how many scenes in a full ep? Lots. We get only a couple of those scenes spoiled during the time they’re actually shooting any given ep. There’s so much more that’s going on that we don’t know about until the promo and official BTS pics come out.
At least J-Mo brought up Neal, but I’m sorta sad that she think Emma was motivated to save Neal because she sees him as a missing puzzle piece to rescue Henry. Surely, Emma was motivated to save Neal, not just for her son, but for herself as well.
I think JMo was basically responding to all the people who were all, “Saving Neal was stupid, she’s meant to be trying to save her son, and the side mission was just a distraction.” I remember seeing even an Emma RPer on tumblr got sent a comment about it, and she responded just like JMo did: we need him to get off the island. So I can just imagine what people said to JMo directly about it. Those types of viewers won’t give credit to an interview answer where JMo talks about Emma loving Neal, but an answer that addresses just the fact that they did need him to help the mission might actually get through to them and make them shut up about it.
*Still not convinced about the PP = Rumple’s father theory. The only way it makes sense to me is if Rumple doesn’t know PP is his father. If Rumple DID know I feel like his reaction to PP this season would involve more than just distrust/hate, it would be a lot more complicated, just like Neal’s reaction to Rumple isn’t pure hate/resentment. I’m for the brothers theory for now.*
Yeah. Also, if Pan really is a de-aged Malcolm, they’d best have an explanation for how he still has memories of Rumple’s life as a child, because August lost his memories, and Neal would have lost his memories if Rumple had de-aged him.
If Malcolm de-aged and kept his memories, Rumple had to know that, because he recognises Pan, so he knew him as someone who was close to him, after the de-aging, which you’d think would have been the final straw that broke their relationship off completely, emotionally and also physically if that’s when he went to NL. So if de-aged Malcolm kept his memories of Rumple, then why did Rumple say that de-aging Neal would take away his memories? How would Rumple even be able to think of doing that to his son, if he’d been through a traumatic de-aging with his own father?
I don’t deny that the way this article describes Malcolm, it does sound very much like the characterisation of Pan. The logic of it all just isn’t clicking in my head though, so I hope that if that IS the direction they’re going in, they answer those questions I have so I can believe the storyline.
Anyway, one thing I do know for sure about this ep is that it’s gonna break my heart, and after seeing it, many of the previous Rumple storyline will break my heart all over again in a whole new way.
I’m not concerned by those pics, because I’ll bet Princess Buttercup would never be caught dead in those plaid pants that Emma’s wearing with the red jacket. 😛
BTW-Totally random but can anyone explain to me why I keep getting taken back to the very first page of this thread after any post I make in here? None of the other threads do that to me and it’s starting to bug me. Thanks for the help! 🙂
Happens with any thread that’s over 100 pages. No way to stop it unless/until Daniel gets around to doing a fix for it.
I would guess that the only way he can win them over would be to hand over his dagger. It’s the only way they’d be able to trust him, if they can control him. If so, does that mean that the shadow we’re gonna get to hear speak is gonna be Rumple’s?
Oh man, Rumple’s face. Obviously I can’t blame them for treating him like that, but…but…his faaaaaace.
