ParticipantHe’s definitely on the JR, you can tell by the yellow bit on the ship.

ParticipantThose three ships coming toward him aren’t waving any kind of pirate flag. They have typical white sails that I associate with the British (good guy) Navy. Isn’t Liam supposed to be a Navy man? What if he abandoned Killian as a boy but then tried to search him out again?
If Captain Killian Jones happens to open fire on a Navy ship that he doesn’t realise it being Captained by his long lost father, I will legit ugly cry.

ParticipantNot sure if it could work that he illustrated the book because there were pics in there of people he never knew, but I LOVE the idea of him having been an illustrator in our world!

ParticipantHe’s got both hands, so yes, this is definitely from the past.
Wonder if this could be his first time being attacked after he became a pirate Captain?

ParticipantI know right. That one of Rumple’s castle actually looks better than the CGI version that ended up in the ep.

ParticipantDarlings could still be good, we’ll have to wait and see. Someone had the idea recently that perhaps the Darling boys are forced into doing Pan’s bidding in our world, because he has Wendy prisoner and will hurt or kill her if her brothers don’t comply.

ParticipantSomething is wrong with me because Tinker-momma is creeping up on me.
I give you, Screwball Ninja’s Tinker Momma essay…
http://screwballninja.tumblr.com/post/64411953254/tinkerbell-is-related-to-whom-rampant
It includes a summary of the version of Beauty and the Beast where Belle is half fairy, (and a link to the whole story, which I haven’t read yet), and even character comparisons between Tink and Belle/Lacey, and God help me I know it’s still crack, but I can’t help but think that it kinda sorta makes perfect sense.Phee
ParticipantWas just reading a tumblr post that included this:
It is important to remember that Emma is STILL grieving Neal, and despite her trust issues, she truly needs someone to comfort her. She knows Hook cares for her and obviously she cares for him too, but I really believe she is in love with Neal, not Hook.
http://wailingenius.tumblr.com/post/64415148025/caring-vs-love
And if you switch it up a tiny bit it becomes, “He truly needs someone to comfort him. He knows Tamara cares for him and obviously he cares for her too, but I really believe he is in love with Emma, not Tamara.”And then I thought how perhaps in putting Emma into this situation with Hook, it could give her some understanding of why Neal was depending on Tamara in SB. Because back then, Emma wasn’t able to be there emotionally for Neal, and he needed someone to lean on. And now Neal hasn’t been able to be there for Emma, and she needs someone to lean on. And perhaps once Neal gets past what I assume will be initial anger over it, he’ll understand why she did it, because he’s been there too. This kiss might be a necessary move so SF will ultimately have a more even understanding of where each other has been emotionally in recent times.
And while on the topic of tumblr posts, here, have another…
I’m trying to be upset about the CS kiss, but I can’t because that’s just how much faith I have in Swanfire.

ParticipantWHO is the shadow? (Or rather, who does it belong to?) and what is his deal?
I’m wanting to say now that the Shadow is a totally separate entity. You would think that if they were gonna have either Pan or Rumple’s shadows speaking, they’d probably use Robbie or Bobby’s voices, and just digitally alter them, which would make it clear which character the shadow is a part of. But giving it a whole new voice makes me suspect the Shadow is someone entirely different.
The idea that he could be Rumple’s father is intriguing. I think the Shadow is probably older than Rumple’s father though, (not really basing that on anything but a gut feeling).
I’m more inclined at the moment to think along the lines of the Chernabog theory, and the Shadow will end up being Once’s take on that.

ParticipantThe casting of Manson as the voice of the Shadow has me thinking about this Chernabog stuff again. You can cast just about anyone for a voice role, but they chose Marilyn frikking Manson, so they want people to have an image of him in their head when they hear the Shadow, and dude is associated with things creepy and demonic, so he’d be pretty perfect for the role if the Shadow is intended to be their version of Disney’s Chernabog, “god of evil”.
