ParticipantI think that Cyrus is a rival to Jafar’s power. Both are genies after all.
Possibly, though we don’t actually know what form Jafar is in during this story. He does typically become a genie at one point, but he may just be his sorcerer self in the show right now. Jafar has that line in the promo about having big plans for Alice, so I think whatever he’s up to may have more to do with her, than with Cyrus.
I dunno what’s up with that topiary lion, but it looks like Cylice go to bury his bottle there in the past, and Alice and Will are there in present day, and it’s been dug up.

ParticipantSuch a great article. I really can’t wait to see all of this juicy, angsty, character growth play out. It’s gonna be some seriously heartwrenching stuff. It’s gonna hurt like hell, but it’s gonna be wonderful!
Haha that’s true, Charming is always around Rumbelle. I don’t know about that though, cause wouldn’t it be in everyone’s best interest to know that Rumple might kill Henry? That seems like something he would tell everyone rather than keep secret
Rumple probably won’t say that he’d planned to kill Henry previously. Just talk about knowing he’s going to die saving Henry and Pan’s offer to let Rumple live if he doesn’t attempt to get Henry. He could overhear him telling Belle he has to save his grandson. That would nudge Charming into keeping the secret that Rumple thinks he’s going to his death in his quest.
Loving this theory! It would be totally fitting for wingman Charming to overhear a Rumbelle moment. In the promo, it seemed like Rumple is debating whether or not he really does try to save Henry, or if he chooses his own life instead. If Charming overheard that stuff, and kept it to himself because he doesn’t think it’d help the rest of them to be distracted by knowing it, it’d really eat away at him. Maybe down the line, there’ll come a moment when something goes wrong, and it turns out that that information really would have been handy to know after all, and he’ll feel guilty for having kept it to himself.

ParticipantI just think it’s too coincidental that Robert’s hanging out with a guy who looks so much like MRJ, (same face shape, similar features, same hair, even similar facial hair because MRJ is rocking some significant stubble at the moment), while they’re shooting an ep that’s gonna feature Nealfire’s grandfather.
Robert’s the kind of actor who I’d imagine would go to watch flashbacks of LittleRumple and his father being shot, because it would give him more information on how to play Rumple in present day. So maybe they scheduled this particular day off for Robert so he could go and watch the flashback shoot, and they were shooting on location, (was this the day there was meant to be shooting somewhere in North Vancouver, according to VCF?), which is why he wasn’t around when the rest of the cast were being interviewed.

ParticipantHow is it that Hook ended up in Rumple’s town, was it an accident? Or did Pan put it in motion too? Do you think Hook was in NL prior to arriving in Rumple’s town that night he met Milah?
I don’t think Hook was in NL prior to meeting Milah. But there has been that speculation that perhaps the drawing of Henry was one of Milah’s drawings. Perhaps all that Rumple/Milah/Hook stuff had to go down the way it did, because that picture had to end up on the JR, which had to end up in NL, so PP could send Felix to search the ship and get the picture of the boy from the prophecy.

ParticipantWay back when I was first cooking up Hookriel headcanon, I wondered if perhaps the JR had accidentally killed Ariel’s mother when it came crashing out of the portal, in keeping with the Disney canon of a pirate ship having killed her.
Now that we’ve actually seen how the ship comes out of a portal, I could totally see it if the last time it happened, an unlucky mermaid got in the way and got crunched when the ship fell back down into the water. Merfolk would have an instant vendetta against Hook, his crew, and his ship, even though it hadn’t been intentional that their Queen had been killed.
I’m also wondering though if Hook’s history with mermaids could play into his story further back, even to the time before he was a pirate. We dunno yet if mermaids are in multiple worlds, though.

ParticipantYES! Just because we don’t see Neal, that doesn’t mean we won’t still be seeing some SwanFire. 😉

ParticipantKFC, that is some seriously spectacular crack!
Something I was wondering about the other day is how we’ve suspected that Hook doesn’t know the full truth about his father having left him. We’ll see the truth in flashback, but how could they show Hook learning that same truth in present day? If Pan was involved somehow, that would make it possible for that info to be revealed to Hook in NL.
PS. Am I the only one who reads Colin interviews with his lovely Irish voice in my head?

ParticipantI think that could still more or less be the case, even if it’s the Shadow instigating it and drawing these things out of Rumple’s heart and mind, by appearing as Belle to discuss it all. The Shadow would basically just be providing the visual aspect of it by acting as a vessel for emotions that are genuinely inspired by what Rumple thinks and feels about Belle.
If PP wants to know exactly where Rumple’s mind is at right now, this would be the perfect ploy to spy on him.

ParticipantThe way Barbara spoke about Rumple having been touched by magic before, and she wondered how his previous experience with NL had formed the person he was pre-Dark One…made it sound to me like we’re gonna get a reveal in 302 that he was in NL as a child.

ParticipantKnowing that we’re not supposed to be seeing SB yet, I’d sorta figured she had to be a figment of some description, because if it was actually her, they’d have to show her doing something on the other end to make it happen, which they couldn’t do without showing SB in some way.
Barbara said it’s more than a “scene”, it’s more like a “segment”, so it sounds pretty involved and like we’ll be getting lots of info out of it, so it’s gotta be more than Belle just encouraging him to do the right thing. The Shadow would probably know the workings of Rumple’s mind, and would be able to carry on a lengthy, information filled conversation with him.
