Possibly, but I still think SB is going to explode or at least disappear. Emma may only be able to contain it for a short amount of time.

Interesting point that brings up something I’ve been wondering all week. What is the final scene of this episode? Last year I though the final scene would be the Curse breaking and people remembering and that’s how it would end. Little did we know Rumple had a plan and I never saw the purple smoke magic coming.
So is the final scene the JR disappearing into the vortex?
    Is it NL?
Is it SB going boom in a flash of white?
Is it the leader of the home office?

Of that list, I’d pick either 1 or 4.
1 – Sets it up nicely to have the first shot of season 3 being them coming out of the portal.
2 – If we hadn’t seen it prior, this is what I’d go with. but we’ve already seen the island, we’ll be spending time on the JR in NL, and there were also the scenes of the Lost Boys with the little boat. So a money shot of NL as the final shot probably wouldn’t have much of an impact.
3 – I’m still in denial that that’s gonna happen.
4 – If it’s someone we already know, this would be an EPIC reveal and cliffhanger. Maybe they lose contact with GOAT after they go through the portal, and we see the irate boss cursing that they’ve gone rogue, and they have to find them.

Another vote for death-by-FEELS. I suspect we’ll all be emo wrecks by the time this ep is done.

I guess the bigger question needs to be asked why do GOAT take Henry in the first place, I mean what is their motivation behind it ?

When Nealfire comes back, I could see Emma being somewhat conflicted if she’s made a commitment to a relationship of some description with Hook. She’s not cold hearted, and if she’s come to genuinely care for him by then, it would be a tad insensitive to just drop him like a hot potato. Ideally, the “triangle” would be quickly resolved though, with both Hook and Emma realising that it just ain’t gonna last because ultimately, her heart still belongs to Nealfire, and he loves her too, so they have to sort out all their stuff and give themselves a real chance to make it work. If Hook and Nealfire do have a friendly past, I could see Hook standing aside when he sees how much Nealfire truly loves Emma.

How long will Nealfire be away is the question. I can’t see them separating him from everyone else for very long especially since MAP may not be around in S3, they all have other commitments that are at least part time and I can’t see Emma moving on rapidly at any point. She barely moved on in the 10 years since Nealfire left her. She’s not going to be hooking up with anyone anytime soon. She may develop a friendship with Hook, but I don’t know if we’re going to get a triangle anymore.

K&H are brave if they end up stopping short of an actual CaptainSwan relationship. Not that I expect or want them to change their story for the sake of pandering to the fans, but they haven’t exactly tried to throw cold water on the shippers, and they certainly know that a large chunk of the fandom ship it hardcore. If they didn’t want to encourage the shippers, they could choose their words carefully to not give too much hope. Instead they happily confirm that the two characters will have scenes together. That makes me think that there’s gonna be some actual CaptainSwan at some point.

As for the question of how long Nealfire will be missing. Well, let’s say he lands in FTL. We know how hard it is to create a working portal out of FTL these days. It took Snow and Emma almost half a season, and I realise that not that much time actually passed for them, but they had a definite goal and a plan and were spending every waking (and sleeping) moment working on it. Nealfire’s got none of the tools or knowledge that they had. He’d have no idea where to even start trying to find a way back to our world. And if everyone in SB think he’s dead, no one will come looking for him. And if they have no way to get everyone back to FTL with all the beans gone, then they’re stuck in SB. A situation like that could keep them apart for a decent chunk of time.

Of course, if the crew of the JR end up in FTL, and if Nealfire is there too, then that changes things. But I'm assuming they take the JR to NL, and then come home to SB, which, as I've said elsewhere, I think will still be standing.

Interesting. But it brings me back to a question I asked a few pages ago: if this is true, if it just wants Bae to possess, then why is it keeping the other boys captive?

    That I dunno. *ponders*…

How about…because if the kids went back home, they’d tell people what had happened, and the Shadow didn’t want rumour of his existence and doings to spread. If people started to believe what all those kids said, (like how little lost Owen eventually found someone who believed him), and started watching out for him and trying to keep him away from their kids, it’d make his job harder to search for the right one. So all the witnesses have to remain trapped in NL so they don’t blab.

    1) the opening sequence, where we saw once again Bae, Rumple and the portal, and see Bae arriving in London. I was really glad that Bae did not go straight to Neverland, but did go to a land without magic. For one thing, I never thought Bae fitted the character of Peter Pan; for another, while I can accept misdirection from the producers, it would have been an all-out lie to say the bean would take him to a land without magic if it took him to Neverland.

If you wanna talk lies they’ve told us, they had us believe that this world wasn’t the first one Bae went to. “It’s a long story. Short version, is this world wasn’t my first stop when I left home.” This has been bugging me since the spoilers of him landing in London started coming out. Unless it does turn out that that was a FictionalLondon inhabited by characters from literature, as opposed to RealWorldLondon, Nealfire lied to Emma, and K&H lied to us through him. *shakes fist*

Taking up the “sewing” idea, which is interesting. Maybe he’s holding them captive until he finds the right one to join with, not just become a part of, but actually inhabit the body of another person. Maybe he wants “form”.

Are you suggesting the Shadow possesses Bae? If he does, that would sorta mean that Bae is both Peter Pan and not Peter Pan at the same time. Bae would only be acting like Peter because Peter is controlling his body. It would also explain why Bae would even call himself Peter Pan. Adam & Eddy would also technically be correct that we won’t see Peter Pan himself until Season 3, since if this theory is true we would likely only see Peter in the flesh then.

Well, the Shadow has no name yet. Wendy didn’t call it Peter, or Pan, or Peter Pan, so it may not have that name at all. But…maybe it did once have a body, and it was the body of a dude named Peter, but something happened to separate the Shadow and now it’s just a nameless being, searching for a replacement body.

This reminds me of that little theory I’ve had for ages that The Dark One was created when Blue – “the original power”, suggesting she maybe once possessed both dark and light power – did something to try and rid herself of her darkness, and it split off and became The Dark One. Maybe someone in NL tried something similar, and now the darkness is looking for a new body, the same way The Dark One curse has to possess a body. Maybe the Shadow somehow heard rumour about Rumple, and decided that if the father went for it, so might the son, so that’s why he started looking for him as a prime candidate.

    Perhaps?

Maybe the kidnapping isn’t what it seems/doesn’t end the way we think? I mean if this was a huge moment in the season finale wouldn’t they have been more secretive about it? Like making sure people couldn’t be there to take videos of it?

Last year someone leaked vid of Snowing calling to each other using their real names and kissing when the curse broke.

I say this because I severely doubt she’ll survive the finale

So you think they’ll locate kidnapped Henry and GOAT before the end of the ep? I’d been thinking that everyone setting off on the Jolly Rodger to find them will be near the end of the ep, and Henry (and GOAT) won’t actually be found until next season.
