My thought on the organization theory is something like this: if there is one that has employed GOAT then I think we can hazard a guess that they’ve had contact with magic before. They’d have to have almost definitive proof of these other lands and that magic exists out there somewhere. So, this idea I’ve been playing with, is that the leader of this organization is Dorothy (as in Oz). We know she’s already been to Oz before the Curse hit. Rumple sent Jefferson after the slippers but they eluded him. They’ve made many casual references to Oz this year, but it has been overshadowed by the even more obvious hints to Neverland. So, if there is some secret shadow organization that GOAT are working for, I think it’s run by Dorothy.
That’s a cool theory. There would be multiple people in our world who have connections to magical lands, going all the way back to writers like the Grimms who somehow knew that these stories even existed. Perhaps there’s actually some centuries old, exclusive, secret, Illuminati-esque organisation for people who have had contact with or connections to magical worlds? People like Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz would be likely members of such an exclusive organisation.

Over in the thread at https://oncepodcast.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=3729 we discussed an interesting fanfic at http://www.fanfiction.net/s/9119020/1/Growing-Up-in-Storybrooke which posits that Henry rode his bike to a nearby town to catch the bus.
Haven’t read the fic in question, but that’s pretty much how I’ve figured it happened. Greyhound wouldn’t have had a Storybrooke stop on their route, but he could go online and buy a bus ticket leaving from a stop in a nearby legitimate town, and just walk or ride his bike there.

It’s clear that neither Regina nor Gold (who at the time was only his cursed self anyway) knew why, but Henry may well have been the only child who COULD have been shipped into SB, because his parents were from FTL. Emma, August, and Neal all could have entered SB (Neal apparently never did) at any time, and leave and come back just fine because they were uncursed but from FTL. Other people maybe not.
There’s that fate again, raising her ugly head. Someone or something made sure it was Henry who came to SB when Regina wanted a child.
I was 200% sure that it was Blue’s doing. Then they had to go and shatter the theory by saying that Mother Superior didn’t remember. GAH! 😡
Maybe it really just is straight up fate, and there wasn’t a need for any manipulation of the situation by anyone. Maybe it was just the same invisible force that drew FTL kids Emma and Nealfire together that also drew Henry and SB together. Maybe there was something built into the curse that was like a magnetic force to draw the Saviour in when she was meant to arrive, and that had a pull on Henry too, either because of his FTL origin genetics, or because he was actually a necessary tool to be used in pulling in the Saviour when the time came. Maybe this will drive me insane if we don’t get answers early on in season 3.

We’ve made plenty of conjecture that the Gorton Fisherman guy in the Snow/Charming scene could be Regina in disguise, but looking back I’ve never seen her in a male disguise. Could be someone she’s controlling, or they could add it as a new level of disguise. He just seems so…pardon the pun…fishy.
If she’s gonna disguise herself as someone to spy, she’s gotta fit into the surroundings. Spying on the Charmings down on the dock at night requires her to be a crusty old fisherman. The shot that the sneak peek freezes on as the fisherman is walking, I’m imagining that that’s the shot of her walking away after eavesdropping, and maybe it’ll morph into her face as she approaches the camera.
Then after that is when she has the conversation with Henry. Doesn’t he say something like, “Maybe they’ll let you come?” and she’s adamant that her going with them isn’t an option? That makes sense if it comes after she overhears the Charming’s conversation about only letting her come if she’s willing to live in a cell.

I think it was just a slip up and nobody thought the fans were going to get flustered over the drapes. Happens all the time. 🙂
Then they don’t know us very well, and frankly they should know better. 😛 😆

ParticipantI’m in the camp that thinks the curtains in Lacey were just a major CGI glitch. 😕

but isn’t it possible (although less poetic) that the curtains didn’t get nailed up until after Belle had arrived? If she arrived in say… fall, maybe he nailed them up later (not fond of winter, maybe) and she tried to take them down in the spring? I realize it’s not as cute as if they’d been there for years, but it’s still physcally possible. Maybe there were just extra curtains lying around somewhere for that cloak. XD
I’d always figured that they’d been nailed up there for as long as he’d lived there. He had the mirror covered to try and prevent Regina from spying, so he’s not gonna leave the massive windows right next to the mirror wide open for anyone to peer through. Also, that castle was kind of like his cave, where he hid away from the world. The Dark One didn’t like any light getting in. Until Belle yanked the curtains down and forced some light into his world.

I think you are wrong on Hook, he is what 200 to 300 years old and Ariel is about 15 to 16 years old that is too much of an age difference I believe.
The way I see it, it’s a bit like Rumbelle. Rumple has lived for 300 years but he hasn’t aged, so thus he’s still about 45 to Belle’s 28-30. Hook is maybe 28-30ish, but hasn’t aged in 250+ years, and it depends on how old A and E make their Ariel. In the Disney movie she’s 16, but they could make the OUAT Ariel 18 or so.
Yes, it’s exactly like Rumbelle. The actress we’ve been discussing most likely playing Ariel, she is 19. It’s actually a bit wrong that Disney had their Ariel being so young…because the girl got married…at 16.
@HappyEndings wrote:
In any case why would you want Ariel to be hooked up with a murder, wife stealing priate where would they live on his ship ❓
I think Regina and Hook would be a better match. Hopefully, someone else for Ariel.
Obviously, I don’t see Hook in such simple terms. And I think it’s incredibly fitting and romantic for the man who has dedicated his life to the sea to fall in love with a girl who came from the sea. The sea is a part of him, and she’s a part of the sea. It’s a perfect match.

I would give my left hand for the casting call that Freya landed.
Please let it be so! Barrie said that Captain Hook’s true identity was some big, scandalous secret. I’ve cooked up this headcanon where a young Prince Eric’s parents are killed, and he only just escapes being killed too, then runs off to join a pirate ship’s crew and changes his name to Killian so that whoever killed his parents can’t track him down. There’s a 99% chance that my headcanon is totally wrong, but I’m enjoying it while it lasts.
Ah, Fishook. I rather like this. A and E have talked about we should wonder HOW Hook became a pirate and got the Jolly Roger.
There are varied versions of Hookriel (aka FishHook) headcanons out there. A whole bunch of fanart with random redheads in it, and fanfic and all. As far as my own headcanon for Killian with his parents dying, I’ve even gone so far as to decide that two of the rings he wears belonged to them, (seriously, what is up with him having two rings so similar with big, red stones in them). Even if I’m totally wrong, I really cannot wait to discover Killian’s full history.

ParticipantK&H would be brave to make EvilHook a thing at this point in time. The rather large community of CaptainSwan shippers would be rather unhappy if he was instead paired up with Henry’s other mother.
Scruffy Irishmen are Regina’s type though. 😉

Incidentally, if you ride the Peter Pan ride at Walt Disney World, they did paint one of the mermaids at the lagoon to look like Ariel!
That’s one of the reasons I think it’s highly likely that Ariel will be in Neverland’s Mermaid Lagoon on the show. It would make perfect sense to give Ariel a brief intro at the very end of this season when they introduce Neverland, but not actually show her story until next season. Would actually be a smart business move, because fans of the show have been wanting to see her since day 1, and if they give us a little tease of her now, that gives everyone something to eagerly anticipate more of in the lead up to season 3. Even casual fans who may have stopped watching recently may tune in for the finale and then be enticed back next season by the promise of The Little Mermaid.

That’s a huge part of the Little Mermaid mythology, actually. In the original tale, the sea witch actually cuts out her tongue (Ariel also dies, but Disney took a decidedly more positive route) and in the Disney version Ursula actually steals her voice and then uses it to entrap Eric, the Prince.
The Hans Christian Anderson version (you can read the whole thing here: http://hca.gilead.org.il/li_merma.html ) is actually quite depressing. Not only does she die after the prince marries someone else, but as well as the sea witch taking out her tongue, part of the deal is that the transformation into a human will feel as though a sword is passing through her, and once she has legs she’ll be a beautiful dancer but every step will feel like blades slicing her feet open. Fun. Will be interesting to see how they mash up the Anderson version and the Disney version with their own additional ideas.

And while I might be able to buy Ariel being in Neverland, I would be hard pressed to imagine Prince Eric there.
Unless he’s an orphaned lost prince *wink wink*
