I wish Greg had seemed more like a pawn, because now a happy reunion with Kurt seems more unlikely to me. Poor Kurt. Loses his wife, then his son, and if he should ever meet the son, he won’t be proud if Greg is a villain. π₯ The only thing that could possibly justify Greg’s actions is if he does think the entire town is part of a conspiracy and they are a threat to the rest of the world– cue the Boss singing “We take care of our own”.
I had so been hoping that Greg would act in a way that I could be sympathetic. *sigh* That Tamara is a bad influence.
Don’t know how many of you usually listen to the AfterBuzz podcast (http://media.afterbuzztv.com/category/abtv_ouat/), but for their Lacey discussion, they had Benjamin Stockham, who played Owen, sitting in on it. He seems like a really cool, smart, witty kid. They said they’re gonna have Ethan Embry in for the podcast in a couple of weeks, and they’d love to get Benjamin back too, so they can meet. I want Benjamin to give Ethan a “look” and say, “What did you do to us?!?! Dad would be so ashamed!!”
I wish we had a little more of a glimpse into what Hook was thinking about doing post-revenge, before GOAT shoved reality in his face. He’s talking about being satisfied, but he seemed a little unhinged too. Could that experience be the start for him of some small part of him realizing he is on the wrong track with this vendetta? Sometimes, you don’t know something isn’t worth having until you get a taste of it. Though he did seem plenty mad to see Rumpel alive, so it would have at best been a fleeting thought.
Yes, my heart ached a bit for Hook in that moment when he thought that he’d achieved that goal he’d set himself 100s of years ago, and he was about to have reality wail down on him. He’d had some time to think about what to do next in life, seeing as how he’s been tied up for a while. Wonder what he’d been pondering? He’d have had the chance to reinvent himself somewhat, which would be a daunting prospect, but also liberating.

What is Maleficent and the Dragon were somehow connected? Aurora and Mulan are certainly connected. We know Aurora was a target of Maleficent, and Mulan could have known the Dragon. There could be a backstory there.
And the Dragon and Mulan are from the same realm as the Yaogui, who was really Philip after being cursed by Maleficent, there’s another connection. What if Tamara uses her magic-taker Taser on Maleficent?
And maybe that is how they are getting all of their information. Through Maleficent.
Very interesting connections and potential connections. Kristen Bauer van Straten wasn’t listed as guest starring in this ep, was she? So any appearance of Maleficent will be in dragon form. That would fit with K&H’s “we never saw a body” and the green screen shots of Regina and Hook potentially in a cave. If she’s been stuck in dragon form the whole time she’s been in our world, I don’t know that she could have been working with GOAT, but Tamara does get off on zapping dragons, so maybe there’ll be another confrontation like that in this episode. Hmmm.

So it was Rumble who tipped Snow White that the Queen was coming you can see him with a torch in the same place that Regina was in a little house.
Where are you seeing Rumple with a torch? I recall seeing Regina’s guards going into that house with torches. There’s a shot in the promo of Rumple with a window behind him that has the same crosshatching on the windowpane, but the size of the window frames doesn’t match up, so it’s not the same place. I think Snow getting tipped off will just be by some regular, random person, who heard that the EQ was coming. It would show us that the people of the kingdom are on Snow’s side, which will then be reinforced when we see the whole village die rather than give up information to the EQ.

OhMyGold…it. was. so. hard. Because obviously everyone knows that I’m a total spoiler-a-holic and I was trying not to say “yeah but if you’ve seen the BTS for 21 and 22….”

Haha! Why does that sound so dirty? π
Because it’s Hook saying it, and Colin’s voice is just…Colin’s voice! π

ParticipantYa know, it hadn’t occurred to me that Hook would be unaware that Rumple survived until now, but DUH, of course he wouldn’t have known. Poor bugger.
The bit where he laughs…I nearly fell outta my chair.
Every time I see Greg, I like him less.

2) “Did that last job…” Does that sound like Tamara and Owen sent Hook after Rumple to anyone else?
It was sort of worded in a weird way, but I think he was just saying that that was the one task in life he had to fulfill. It was a self appointed job.

ParticipantI’m totally on board with Regina losing her powers when she gets zapped. Girlfriend needs to be smacked down. Hard. She’s sunk so low that she really can’t help herself, and she needs to be forced into changing by something that’s completely outside her control. Having her powers sucked out of her when she’s kidnapped would do the trick. I do hope that’s where they’re headed, because that 4th sneak peek shows her as being SO dark, twisted, and deluded, that surely they have to be setting it up to show a major contrast. Right?

I do wonder whether they’re going to extend an invitation to Rumple, since he’s not exactly a safe person either, though I think he was more dangerous in FTL for reasons.
Right now, in the present day, everyone else isn’t aware of the dark thoughts he’s been having in regard to getting rid of Henry. They all see him trying to play the role of grandpa, which makes him seem less threatening than he’s ever been before. That may change a bit if he lets his dark side start to show a bit more for Lacey, though.

Awhile back Phee postulated that Mermaids can exist in many realms and that the ocean can be a portal to many lands. I have no doubt that mermaids exist in FTL but there is also NO doubt that traditionally they exist in Neverland. And I think given the title of the last two episodes and ALLLLLLL the hints to NL this season, I think it’s more likely we end up in NL. The comment Regina made to Rumple in Skin Deep doesn’t mean mermaids only exist in FTL.
I like this! When Rumple talked about places in the ocean so deep that only squids or mermaids could reach it, i was thinking the same things about the oceans possibly connecting the different worlds.
Yeah, my thinking on it was that Hook’s ship traveled through the ocean to get from FTL to NL, so in some way, the ocean has to be accessible from both sides, so the creatures who live in it, like mermaids, can be on either side. Then someone else, (sorry I don’t recall who), mentioned how Snow and Emma’s portal traveled through Lake Nostos, and ended up in the well, which is in keeping with that same theme of waters connecting the different worlds.

Pan is like the Dark One – a position of magic with different people filling the role.
That’s something I’ve been thinking for a while now, that “Pan” is really more of a position one holds, as opposed to a unique part of one specific person’s name. So going with something I said in my previous post, about Bae choosing a more ordinary name for himself while he was in hiding, he went by Peter, and held the position of Pan for however long. Other Pans came before him, and there’s been a different one since he left.

I haven’t seen this theory anywhere — so here’s my two cents.
People have been guessing on the relationship between Bae and Hook. Well, after Milah’s death, Hook went to Neverland to give him time to figure out a way to kill the Dark One.
Somehow he stumbled upon Bae and found out who he was. I think he imprisoned Bae on his ship in order to manipulate Bae into telling him how to kill Rumple. Perhaps it took a long time — centuries — for Bae to finally reveal something about the dagger.
Remember, Hook returned to the Enchanted Forest centuries later (when Regina was the Queen and close to enacting the curse and had Bell locked up in the tower) and he already knew all about the dagger. He just didn’t know where to find it.
It makes sense that whatever Hook knew about the dagger, he found out from Bae in Neverland.
If Bae was going by his real name in Neverland, Hook would have figured out pretty quickly who he was, and would have tried to get info out of him. If I were Bae though, and I wanted to hide from my crackpot father who might come looking for me, I’d have chosen a different name to go by in Neverland. That’s part of why I think he may have been Peter, because it’s such a bog ordinary name, as opposed to the very unique Baelfire.
But…why would Hook hang around in Neverland for 200 odd years if he wasn’t onto something there? This would seem to suggest that he may well have figured out early on who Bae was. But then the question is, did he have 200 odd years of patience in him, as he waited for Bae to cough up the info? He’d have needed the patience of a freaking saint.
But let’s assume that he was willing to wait as long as it took. Part of his plan to get info out of the kid may have been to recruit him as a cabin boy on his ship, treat him well, so he earned his trust, and then hope that one day he’d spill some useable info about his father. That’s how I could see Bae’s “being held prisoner” playing out. I don’t think Hook would have held him against his will, but if the kid felt like a valued member of the ship’s crew, that would keep him around of his own free will.
Then, finally, one day, Bae spills some info, and Hook takes off back to FTL, leaving poor Bae once again screwed over and abandoned by a father figure. That would actually fit quite nicely with Neal’s comment to Emma in Manhattan where he seems fine with leaving Hook behind.
But, something else to consider is that Hook didn’t have all the info on the dagger. He didn’t even seem to know that it was a dagger. “Belle, your fatherβs life hangs in the balance. I need to know what that weapon is, and where to find it.” If Bae was spilling info, what made him stop short of revealing the specifics? And why didn’t Hook hang around longer in Neverland, trying to keep the kid talking? Did Hook have a reaction that gave away too much about his motives, at which point Bae ran away from him, taking the specifics about the dagger with him? And did Hook just give up on finding him, and instead headed back to FTL with what little info he did have? Seems a bit hasty for someone who’d been prepared to wait 200 years for Bae to spill in the first place.
Sorry, this post ended up kind of rambling. π Basically though, I could get behind the idea that Hook kept Bae on the boat with the motive of getting information about Rumple. Where that came in the timeline, I’m still undecided on, because I think Bae’s true identity might have been secret for at least a while, during which time he became known as Peter Pan.
The Bae/Hook dynamic and history (and also how it will affect Rumple) is something I need to see right now so bad it hurts. So many questions. So many emotions. So many directions it could go.

If Neal still has the book, I’m sure Tamara’s been reading it under the guise of being willing to learn about where he came from. But she’s actually been researching who everyone in town is.
Phee I don’t think Neal has the book anymore because Emma was reading it in “Lacey” at the docks prior to her conversation with Regina
But it was very deliberately left with Neal and Tamara after the bagel date with Emma and Henry, and Neal wanted her to read it. Since then, Tamara has had access to it. Neal probably brought it back when he came to pick up Henry for their day out together, which is how Emma had it in Lacey.

#3 – I hope that if Emma keeps this from Henry, he won’t consider it to be lying. This could be leading to Henry lacking trust in both Emma and Regina, leaving him vulnerable to GOAT. Not that he would go with them willingly, but he might run away and they could seize him then.
Oh, good point! That’s a dilemma for Emma. If I were in Henry’s shoes, and Emma has just recently told me that she won’t lie to me ever again, and then I found out she’d been keeping something so important from me…I’d probably be pissed enough at her to run off.
