I have mixed feelings.
I do think it’s a very valid point that suicide as a happy ending is a harmful message to send.
But the aspect of her accepting responsibility for her actions was a great redemptive moment.
I just wish they’d had another way to break the curse apart from her death, because if ever there was a villain who had a shot at changing and living out a happy life with their loved ones, Ingrid was it. That would have been a far more satisfying end to her story, going back to Arendelle and being the aunt to the Queen. Guess Disney wouldn’t let them do that though, so instead she had to die. *sigh*

She said she didn’t age once she came to storybrook, because no one in town aged. But Henry did!People who were cursed did not age, because they were under the curse. Henry came from outside, and was not cursed, and so he grew up. Ingrid was from FTL, but she came by other means, from outside, and was never cursed. Therefor she would not have stopped aging just by entering the town!
This is so true. Wow, now I really wish they’d left that bit out. The writers need to pay more attention to the rules or their own story!
3) How did Ingrid use magic inside SB to take Emma’s memories. Regina’s ring barely worked to make the hat function, so how did the crystal?
I can just about fanwank that by saying maybe she already had the crystal and it had retained its magic. But then it’s not like she had time to pack before heading to our world, and I’m pretty sure that gown didn’t have pockets, so where was she stashing the memory stones?
I can’t even with Rumple right now. That being said, I do like the idea that the stars in the hat have to align with the stars in the heavens in order for the major magic to happen. Still, it would have been nice to see a sense of urgency from Rumple beforehand because he’s studying star charts and anxious for this particular deadline.
I kinda wish Snowing had have got more into it. Would have liked to see Charming have a go at Snow for how she’s been treating Emma in recent eps. I still enjoyed the disagreements they did have though.

But when is this scene in the promo gonna be from? How much time was there between Regina getting the Curse and casting it? I’m wanting to say not long? It could be that the promo shot is from before Maleficent even got the Curse, and maybe she just added the orb to her staff after she got the Curse.
Let’s face it, she was only “killed off” because Kristin Bauer was still busy with True Blood.
Yup. If she’d been available we’d have seen Maleficent in Kristen form instead of zombie form. I doubt they ever wanted to actually kill her off.
My big concern with this promo is if they’re gonna dumb down Ursula from a goddess to just a witch. It seems like she’s sharing a scene with at least Cruella? But Merrin tweeted the other day: “Holy smokes. We just saw the first cut of the #EvilTrio entrance to OUAT.” and if what they saw was this promo then it suggests they’re probably all three sharing a scene, (thought I know Ursula, Cruella and Rumple have been sharing scenes too, so that might be what she was talking about, but do supporting actors get to see things like selected scenes from an ep that aren’t a promo?). I’ve got no problems if they want to bump Cruella up to witch status, because it would make her fit better IMO. But if they demote Ursula’s status to witch, I’ll be annoyed.
Her headpiece does look pretty freaking cool though, so I’m interested to see what her full costume looks like.
They probably shot it at the same place as the SF scene, but it’s meant to be a completely different place.
If I wanted to squint through my shipper goggles I could maybe say that both scenes were about Emma and Home, so there’s a connection there. But Ingrid was kinda nuts and stupid obsessed which is why she was giving Emma a home, which is not at all what SF was about.
How about a storyline surrounding Whale & Ruby? What about a story line about a young Granny? Why don’t the delve into stories about the Ogre Wars?
Don’t talk about such things that will only depress me because I know they won’t come to be. *sigh* (I dunno how many eps iZombie has, but thought I read somewhere it had a shorter season than usual? Get him back on OUAT before he leaves Vancouver PLZ. And is Meghan doing anything? I think she did a movie recently but dunno if she has any ongoing commitments? She’s a freaking Vancouver local. If they have a story line about the woman who likes to skin dogs and they don’t involve the freaking WOLF, then I can’t even.)
Anyone else feel that this series has really sold out to Disney?
There’s another thread somewhere that mentions how the anniversary or whatever special edition of Aladdin is due out next year, so decent bet is that’s when we’ll get those characters on OUAT. Admittedly in that case they’ve already established Jafar in the OUAT universe, so it was pretty much inevitable that he’d show up on the main show sooner or later. But I can’t help but think that if not for them clamouring to capitalise on the Frozen hype, we might have got Jafar, Aladdin and Jasmine in the same season we got Will, which would make a lot of sense because Will has a history with Jafar.

At the very end of that whole bit in the Sheriff station, when Elsa is leaving, you can hear Snow faintly in the background saying, “He’s a doctor, he actually knows which part is which.” OH SNAP. LOL!
