ParticipantI like to give Colin the benefit of the doubt, some leeway in interview answers because I feel kinda bad for him having to work with the dreck he’s ended up being given, but…Colin…really?
When he comes across Neal as a rival suitor, his quest to get Emma’s heart sort of blinds him to the fact that this is the same boy that he was about to open up to, to become like a surrogate father for. Towards the end he realizes that and realizes that there’s more to life than being so blinded by one thing and one quest and he realizes, again, that he could have an open heart for somebody that he needs to care for.
Did that moment of realisation when his blinders came off and his heart softened come before or after the final time he saw that boy he used to love and accused him of being a villain? RLY?! *SIGH*

ParticipantAnd I think Henry is one of the few people that actually understand how badly that relationship affected her. Think about it from Henry’s side. When he finally learned the truth about his father, he finally got all of the pieces he needed to understand why Emma had so much trouble bonding with Henry. Can you imagine knowing your father left your mother – who you know much better and have a much stronger, more established relationship with – and let her to go jail? That your mother’s lack of self worth, in part, is due to that person? That she gave you up because she didn’t believe she was worthy or good enough to raise her child – again, in part because of your father who you have very little established relationship with? So now, if that guy was a major part in destroying your mother, but you see her with a man who you can see loves and supports her, and wants to spend time with Henry as well….are you really going to get upset that your mother is with that man?
You nailed it. I think a lot of Oncers forget that the Henry we saw in 3B was not the same Henry we met in season one. The kid has matured a lot. I think if anything else, he’ll be very supportive of Emma wanting to be with someone who is good for her and makes her happy.

ParticipantIn response to the Henry thing – Bo-Peeps, I have to say I agree 100%. Here’s the thing – Henry can be mourning his father and be comfortable with Emma and Regina’s romantic relationships. And I think especially Emma’s.
Henry and Emma have a unique relationship. And they are extremely close. And there’s no erasing (although some may want to try) what Neal did to Emma. And I think Henry is one of the few people that actually understand how badly that relationship affected her. Really? It’s not the same thing, but my parents separated when I was Henry’s age – and I was so unbelievably happy because their relationship didn’t work. I didn’t cry into my pillow hoping Dad would come back, because I was old enough to realize that the living situation stunk for all of us. But they were excellent co-parents – so it may not have been the ideal, but it made everyone happier.
Henry was sitting next to Emma when Snowing announced the baby’s name because they had been reading the book together before Emma prompted them to finally make the announcement. The first part of the scene required Henry to be present in the booth, and since Jared’s still (barely) smaller than Jen, for blocking purposes he has to be closest to the camera. But to get the full effect of us seeing Emma first truly say hello to her brother, and realize she wanted Killian to be with her in that moment, we needed the shot to be devoid of anyone else. Which wouldn’t have been feasible with Jared still sitting there. So…make the announcement and then have him get up and out of the booth. So, yes, I definitely believe Henry moving was purely a blocking choice.

ParticipantI love how Colin said that Hook falling for Emma took him by surprise. That explains that ‘whipped’ look after their first kiss in Neverland.

ParticipantIf they just needed Henry not to be in Emma’s way, I think they would have had Henry sat where he wasn’t in the way. It seems a little too coincidental that he leaves after Snowing reveal the baby’s name. Also why would Henry want his false memories back unless he doesn’t want to feel so upset over Neal. Memoryless Henry was okay with Emma being in a relationship and was quite happy for her yet when Neal “died” the first time Henry dealt with that and believed his dad dead for much of Neverland without wishing to forget his dad. I think Henry may be conflicted about everything. He wants Emma to be happy, but he thinks it’s too soon after his dad’s passing. Regina’s going off on one, Snowing are being insensitive, etc etc. Henry probably wants to go back to a time where everything was simple and normal.
What’s happened to cause Henry to want his fake memories back since he was looking for an apartment in Storybrooke after Neal’s death?
All magic comes with a price!

ParticipantMorning Troops!
surayya, I hope you are healing fast and feeling better. Your posts have started my Monday off with a big smile 🙂 thank you many times over!
I’ve worked with some fun graphic programs over the years but the creative fans now really make some extraordinary gifs. That storybook set using the Coloring Book Style effect is wonderful!
Yeah, Snow has had some serious hormonal shift biaaaatchy moments this season. It’s appealing when she is in EF warrior mode, not so “charming” when she is so self absorbed. There is a fine line that has been crossed that makes her rather annoying.
Maybe they will come up with a totally non Neal/family related nickname for the little Prince that has to do with his distinct personality, like we all tend to do with our own kids/family. Like Stinky or Snotface (heh)
One woman’s opinion: About Henry… That move at the table was a directorial one to get him out of the way for Emma to head out to the patio. You couldn’t see his face at all and it is pure projection of the people who want there to always be heavy emotional angst over Neal being dead when really, there isn’t.
I don’t see Henry agonizing over the specific man who was his father, who he, by his own admission to Hook, didn’t know at all…or agonizing over the fact that his mother is feeling love for someone. He has always been very pro-love 🙂 and aside from the idiocy in the cave in Neverland with Pan, he’s been pretty smart.
Henry may very well yearn for the lost years where he didn’t have a father, and wish it had been different but it’s difficult to personalize it when the person involved was a stranger to him and, bottom line, the cause of serious pain to his mom.
It will be a good thing if they finally focus on Henry as a growing-into-teen years character with shifting needs of his own. His already positive, fun and trusting relationship with Hook could be reallllly interesting with his new bonding with (G)rumple-pa!

ParticipantSaw this, had to share-
“The most revealing part of the scene was Emma’s second “come back to me” which she whispered just after she gave him mouth to mouth resuscitation – there’s something remarkable about that phrase, especially when it’s used with two people who truly care for one another. […] It’s a phrase that tends to valorize the idea that the two hearts are so incredibly connected that the saying will be heard even in the deepest sleep. […] Morrison’s delivery of the particular line was impeccably telling – Emma would much rather lose her powers than lose her person. As she whispered those words, she ultimately substantiated the fact that he’s someone she needs in her life. Plainly simple, she wants him to come back to her – Morrison’s faintly expressive whisper was filled with an abundant amount of fear that was not only heard loudly, but crystallized through the distressed look in her eyes and the tight grip on his shirt.” – mgcircles [x]
This scene is more important than you think.

The full version of above:
we’re thoroughly pleased with Charming acknowledging that Killian’s act was something that needed to be done because of the situation he’s in. Because Charming too has been in the kind of situation where he felt lying to his loved one’s was the best option, he recognizes Killian’s decision as something that normally occurs when one doesn’t want to hurt anyone he adores.
While on their way to defeat the Wicked Witch once and for all, Emma again expresses her plans about leaving to New York because their life there was good. However, Killian knows her too well and he sees that she’s actually running from possibilities. We’ve always felt as though Emma embraced Killian’s love for her back in “Going Home” at the town line when she uttered the word “good”; moreover, no matter how frustrating her desire to leave is, it’s entirely understandable as she’s dealing with the ramifications of two sets of memories, two sets of happy moments and sad ones, thus trusting is inevitably something that’s difficult for her.
The thing we adore most about Killian’s love for Emma is the unwavering persistence to help her embrace the things he knows will make her happiest. “Why are you so scared of staying? I think it’s because you see a future here, a happy one.” O’Donoghue is truly something else when it comes to sincere line deliveries, especially when they’re expressing Killian’s feelings for Emma. He ultimately sees her inner most desires effortlessly because of how much he understands her. He feels the same amount of pain she does – the fear of losing love and being betrayed like she has been in the past. Thus, he feels her concerns and sees that the fear of a good life, forces her to back away because of what she’s experienced. Killian knows that Emma has an immense capacity to love and when she opens her heart to some, there’s nothing she wouldn’t do for them. He understands that because of the turmoils in her past, she’s eager to leave because the possibilities of opening her heart again are on the line. If she does chose to embrace love, she’s laying it all on the line, she’s giving her all, and in doing so she’s afraid of another terrifying heartache because she evidently does see the potential of something real.
Zelena then interrupts their conversation to set things straight on her own by forcing Emma to choose between saving Killian or keeping her powers. Emma chooses to save his life, and because this is something we’ve wanted for them for quite some time, we’re entirely pleased with the the scene. So much of their journey has been about Emma’s choices, and in this scene especially, it wasn’t just about saving his life, but it was the authentic concerns that were illuminated in the moment. The most revealing part of the scene was Emma’s second “come back to me” which she whispered just after she gave him mouth to mouth resuscitation – there’s something remarkable about that phrase, especially when it’s used with two people who truly care for one another. In season one, memory less Snow found herself whispering the same exact words to an unconscious David by the Troll Bridge. It’s a phrase that tends to valorize the idea that the two hearts are so incredibly connected that the saying will be heard even in the deepest sleep. It’s as though we needed more parallels between the two couples for further proof that they’re made for one another. Morrison’s delivery of the particular line was impeccably telling – Emma would much rather lose her powers than lose her person. As she whispered those words, she ultimately substantiated the fact that he’s someone she needs in her life. Plainly simple, she wants him to come back to her – Morrison’s faintly expressive whisper was filled with an abundant amount of fear that was not only heard loudly, but crystallized through the distressed look in her eyes and the tight grip on his shirt. Emma’s shown her concerns for Killian a few times before, but none of the scenes were as evocative as this one. After he was revived and speaking to her, because of Morrison’s commendable abilities to speak with her eyes, you could see the indisputable relief on Emma’s face that she didn’t lose him, that for the first time since she’s came to Storybrooke, a man didn’t die in her arms. This was the kind of moment that was meant to show viewers and Emma herself just how significant Killian is. He’s not just a pirate, he’s somebody she cannot lose because he’s become her partner, her equal — the person whose happiness and well being mean more to her than she can articulate. It’s a prodigious moment for the two of them because she chose his life over her magic, and knowing she’s done so is something that upsets Killian because it’s not something he wanted for her. O’Donoghue played that scene remarkably as he projected both gratitude and anger masterfully while he realized she saved his life, and he unwillingly took away something he wanted her to embrace.

ParticipantSo I did a little rewatch of some of the CS heavy eps of NL & I’ve been thinking about the whole “when I win your heart Emma, & I will win it” line again & the way I interpret it is this:
Killian knows Emma has walled her heart off to romantic love, she doesnt truly trust anyone at that point in time & at that stage Killian isnt even sure if she can fall in love again- so while she can kiss & flirt with him, hell even sleep with him- it doesnt mean she’s allowed love into her heart, so IMO, what Killian is trying to get across there is, he doesnt want to have meaningless sex, kisses & flirting with Emma, he’s realised he wants more & she deserves more, he wants her to want him, not just with her body or mind, but with her heart, in sort, he wants a meaningful relationship with her & they cant have that if he doesnt win her heart/trust/love 1st.
Just thought I’d put it out there- it’s 3am rambling time lol- the only perk of being sick, is sleeping all day 😉

ParticipantMe at the spoilers
In other news the little bit hints and teases from Grimm are amazing for any of you grimmsters fans, let me just say Addy and Rosey actresses were having archery training. SO EXCITED!!!!
You know what they should just divide the show
Hear me out.
Let Emma, Hook, Regina, Robin, Snowing and Snowflake manned storybrooke with Knave and they can go on adventures and double dates and dance. The shippers can watch Emma and Hook match curtains in the morning and sword fight villains by afternooon and then have romantic triple date dinners with Regina and Robin, and Snowing. Even throw in Frozen Cast in the mix. And All the new Character (make sure they are hot and sexy) that they want to add. Emma and Killian can start a new family together free from their past. The same with Regina and Robin. Its a time of fresh beginnings for everyone. It would be a shippers dream fluffy and action. It would be the shippers show. Where once a week a fan get to vote on what scenarios and story line they like to see. etc etc. So far so good right.
Thank you Doctor.
Then the spinoff would be Enchanted Forest with Rumbelle, Henry, Neal (resurrected), Ruby, Granny, Archie, Maid Marian, Little John, Roland, Mulan, Aurora, Phillip, Jefferson and his Grace, sly Blue, the Darlings, and Tink heck even Maleficent (she can be the new Villianess and even spice up with Milha who is the new Davy Jones) can join the party. Were we can have the deep complex coherent storylines, dialogues, humor, and some action. It would be a show where the fans do not know what is going to happen next and twist will be real.
See everyone would be happy, and those who like both shows can watch both shows!!!! And those who only like 1 will watch 1. Its a win, win situation.
Who Like this idea!?!
Thank you Doctor
