@MatthewPaul is actually at the convention today so he’ll be writing up some stuff about the episode/panel when he gets done at the Con but here’s a down and dirty quick look based on what I’ve seen/heard.
–6×03 features a lot of CS moments
–Emma will ask Hook to move in
–Hook babysits (or just looks after in Granny’s?) baby Alexandra
–Hook and Henry sword fighting was Henry’s idea
–A and E were asked directly about Anastasia and Adam said that it was never directly confirmed and then told the person asking to “ask him on Twitter for a more in depth conversation” (AKA: they are ignoring Anastasia altogether)
–6×04 will be about Jekyll and Hyde

I think that Tommy being Prometheus could actually work with where they are thematically right now. Oliver quit killing after Tommy died. Now in the season premiere we see Oliver telling Thea that he basically blames himself and his no killing rule for Laurel’s death, because if he’d just killed Darhk earlier, then Laurel would still be here. So now he’s back to killing again, and we’re delving into the moral dilemma of if killing can be justified or not, a dilemma that was originally raised because of Tommy.
Tommy loved Laurel. Some of his last words to Oliver were asking him if Laurel was safe. So if Tommy were to know that Laurel has died, he’d be pretty pissed. And if he’s come back all crazy, and he’s grieving, and angry, then he’s gonna blame Oliver for Laurel’s death, because he didn’t keep her safe. And Oliver’s already blaming himself for Laurel’s death. So isn’t this whole situation just ripe for some delicious angst?
They’ve always said that this show was originally planned as a 5 season arc showing how Oliver came to be the Green Arrow. Well, if you wanna make the S5 finale feel like a bookend moment for S1, killing Tommy all over again would certainly achieve that. And in the S5 premiere they paid homage to a scene from the Pilot, so it’s maybe not much of a stretch to think that they might repeat that in the finale. Bonus: the scene from the Pilot involved Tommy.
In the S5 ep, Oliver’s been kidnapped, along with other people, and he’s restrained to a chair.
Oliver: If you hit me again, I’m gonna kill you.
Bad guy: You’re delusional. You’re zip-cuffed to that chair.
Oliver: *lifts up his hands then picks up the chair and uses it as a weapon, eventually getting the guy in a headlock and right before snapping his neck* I’m sorry, but nobody can know my secret.In the S1 ep, Oliver and Tommy have been kidnapped, and Oliver’s restrained to a chair.
Bad guy: What did he tell you?
Oliver: He told me, I’m gonna kill you.
Bad guy: You’re delusional. You’re zip-cuffed to that chair.

Oliver: Yes I do, nobody can know my secret.Now, maybe it’s a bit of a stretch to say that them basically re-inacting a scene that originally involved Tommy, and bad guys in masks, is foreshadowing for how Tommy is now gonna be revealed as a bad guy in a mask. If it were just that one element alone then I wouldn’t put the same amount of stock in it, but when taken along with all that other stuff I’ve rambled about, I’m just sayin’, maaaaybe it might be a thing?

After watching the 6X03 sneak peak, I’m more convinced that it’s Emma’s “other side”. In that clip, Regina says, “I crushed her heart and somehow, she’s still alive. How is that possible?” For the same reason that magic didn’t subdue Hyde? This seems like another example of magic not working on beings created by the splitting serum. It would also explain why the hooded figure and Emma are dueling with swords and not magic. I can’t think of any other reason Emma would be using a sword instead of her powers.

I think this might be so, but its such a rehash of last season during the dark swan arc. Plus the figure is s bit too tall to be Rump. But I think this is a good highly probable guess.
I think it would be even more of a rehash of last season than the Emma split, because the core of the Emma split idea is not based on Dark One – non-Dark One. It’s whatever she is when she’s not the savior.
On the other hand, presumably if Rumple splits himself in half and that actually extracts all of his DO powers into one entity, there is no reason for that entity to even look like Rumple/Gold. It’s a mashup of DOs at this point, so there should be a bit of Nimue, a bit of Zoso, a bit of Gorgon the Terrible, a bit of Rumple and so forth.
On the other, other hand — Rumplestiltskin’s original tale says that at some point he got so angry that he, literally, tore himself in half. So I think that plot line with the serum is still in the running, I just don’t know that it would intersect with the Emma one.
Pretty solid episode for me. I like the mystery elements they’re putting into place. I’d give it a B.

– Lana Parilla continues to amaze after 6 seasons. I really hope she gets an Emmy at some point.
– I love Rumple/Gold best as the twisted imp. I also hope Robert gets his much deserved Emmy.
– I’m intrigued by Charming’s dad mystery. I appreciate they are revisiting something from two seasons ago (exactly actually – 4×02 and 6×02).Mixed:
– I really enjoyed the actor who played the Count and his story – although it ironically made me want to know more about his story so it still feels somewhat untold. That’s probably because I’m not familiar with the original story though.
– Zelena’s insecurity and temptation to embrace EQ does fit her character, but shouldn’t the fact Regina sealed her vault with blood magic show Zelena that Regina at least has some faith in her still?Disliked:
– Why are Snow and Charming randomly out and about in Storybrooke when they know someone out there is looking to kill them? Couldn’t they at least have been trying to hide?
– Emma still not telling her family what’s going on. It feels so Season 1 Emma. You would think going to Hell and back would cause some character development.
– Emma not being sure if she can trust Regina as revealed in the final scene. I really don’t want this to play out as Emma not trusting Regina and then Regina is angry and hurt and does something she regrets. We’ve already been there.In reply to: Emma + Baelfire = Swanfire
Saw the episode with a friend, she pointed several retcons, one i didnt even noticed before, tha was Emma, trying to take the parents out of town and tehy couldnt leave, which goes against the fact that some days ago, show time, they could leave to NY and comeback, that was i noticed that yeah, Hnery, violet, Regina , Emma and Mr gold all left SB in buses and cars, but now they couldnt, leave town, i have to say i was like , dont ask questions.
also i sort of shipped for a moment EQ and Rumple, lol.

To be fair, I’m not thrilled about the idea of Savior Emma killing off Non-Savior Emma because that’s basically the same as Regina killing the EQ–it doesn’t work that way because Regina will always be the EQ but it’s about temperament and restraint. For Emma, she’ll always have that “orphan” part of her, but it’s about accepting herself and those who love her and her place among them.
Precisely why I am not rooting for this.
