ParticipantCan you only kill the Dark One saying his name and then killing him? He’s immortal alright, but if you shot Mr. Gold, wouldn’t he die?

ParticipantI think it is possible that Rumpel is doing all of this because he wants to die, but not because he actually cares about breaking the curse. If that were the case he would have just not told the queen how to do the curse in the first place. It has to be more then that in my opinion.

ParticipantWell, we know now that Rumple remembers and he seems to want to break the curse and seems to have arranged to bring Henry and through him Emma here. So I can imagine that he wrote the book to reveal the truth to someone (and Henry is the ideal recipient) and left it to be found. I don’t want Rumple to be behind absolutely everything either but I do think that’s a plausible theory that fits a character who takes an active role in getting what he wants.

ParticipantHello everyone, new to the forum and loving the podcast.
A few notes I have about the ending scenes.
1. The car crashing. We know that anyone who tries to leave, ends up in some odd vehicle malfunction. But after the other episode with Sydney, is it possible to consider he is behind the vehicle with Kathyrn crashing? (After all, he did reveal that he messed with the brakes on the car when he was with Emma, later in the episode to Regina).
2. This kind of goes against my previous thought. But this also touches on what Mia said above. We’re starting to see that Regina/Gold either remember, or know, who they are in the other “reality”. They both (I assume) have the power to send people to “our” world (Given that when Rumple “transformed Gaston into the Rose, the purple smoke appeared. To me that means that Rumple had the power to send him to “our” reality.), is it possible that Regina/Gold can REVERSE that? I get that Regina was burning the letter as a sign of trying to end this debacle in town, but is it possible that in doing this, she transported Kathryn back to the “other” reality?

ParticipantEmma: “I’m not your mother.”
Mary Margaret: “I’m yours according to Henry.”😀 Made my breakfast.
Just remember another:
Prince James/Charming: “True love isn’t easy, but it must be fought for, because once you find it … it can never be replaced.”
Do you hear that David?!?!?!?!?!

ParticipantI don’t think it has anything to do with magic. There are some people who are really good at sensing if others are lying or not. Seeing as Emma always did this, I don’t remember what it was called, bail-something job and has been searching for her parents, thus acquirering all these detective skills, I think she’s just very perceptive. But I don’t think she can always tell when someone’s lying, since she doesn’t seem to have picked up, that Sidney isn’t on her side (I guess we'll see something about that in the next episode.).

ParticipantThats some really good theories 😀
Love them all 😉Frederick does not have a name in te RW yet (is that how its written?)
And I don`t consider crushing the heart as magic, but im excited to see if they have some powers in the RW. What do you think of Emmas “I know if you li” “power” ❓February 20, 2012 at 7:05 am #137413In reply to: Was the book damaged when they tore down the castle?

ParticipantI wrote that in the other post with the initial reactions.
He just did a new binding, hough leaving the old cover so Henry and Emma wouldn’t get suspicious (I study publishing, so I learned how to do that 😉 ). Don’t know if he made a copy for himself while doing it, but I don’t think so. I think he somehow is the caretaker of the book, making sure it is conserved.
August may have an agenda thogh. We still don’t know who he is in FTL.

ParticipantIt’s really simple what August did with the book. It’s very old, so he did a new binding, though leaving the old cover (so no one would notice it too much).
What I don’t know is, if he may have made a copy for himself, but I don’t believe that. I think he’s somehow the caretaker of the book, making sure it doesn’t fade.Oh, and I don’t remember who said it (it may have been in the last podcast or some forum), but someone mentioned the name August was strange? It is a Latin name meaning the dignified.
I liked the episode (beside the MM/David part of course), even though it seemed a tiny bit boring after the great ep last week.
I really liked how Abigail bumps into Frederick in the “real world” and just brushes it off and then it’s him finding her car …
My personal fave was the last scene with Emma and MM. How she just lay down to keep her company. It was just cute.Only thing that was sad, was that Mr. Gold didn’t appear at all. Is he still in prison? Probably not.
K, going to listen to the first reaction podcast now. 😀
